Topic: Mud and Blood 2 / Sword's Basic tips for survival

Alright, this is for those of you who don’t know what your doing(AKA newbies). There are three things you should almost always do:
1. Spread out! Most waves will have panzergrenadiers, and if your men are clumped together, one nade will kill most of em(sure sometimes a freak incident occurs, but spread em out anyways).
2. Don’t favorite certain troops, not being diverse can kill you in this game. Always have some sort of way to kill both infantry, and tanks.
3. Unless your advancing, don’t be on the top part of the battlefield. Why? Because if a flamer comes, or you order Close air support(or any support really). Your men will be toasted, or hit by your support.

Now then, first thing you do every battle, is check your starting soldiers Rifle and Morale. Now what I do (You don’t HAVE to do what I do), is set the lowest rifle soldiers at the front of my formation(as otherwise they just shoot inaccurately), with high rifle soldiers at the back to act as snipers of a sort. Now what you equip em with is up to you. If you want to, arm your formation like this:
Front liners: shotguns(this way, enemies that pop out get killed)
Middle liners: Thompsons, Carbines.
Back line troops: Garands, Springfields(for your sniper troops).

You should also get an officer, this way you can prioritize your targets(Gunners, tanks, other such problems). If you want to settle down(And not advance), get an engineer and set defenses according to your battle plans. Here’s ones you’ll probably be using:
Barbwire(This sucker is really cheap, and renders opponents unable to act! If you intend to plant mines, make a small gap in the wires. Don’t worry, if the enemy can’t go vertically through it, they’ll snag themselves(Unless they’re brandenburgs).)
Land mines(Cheap, and come a in a triangle of three, these babies work on ANYTHING I’ve encountered so far. And are REALLY good against infantry, and it deals splash damage, so infantry groups are dead meat!)
Antenna(If you intend to use a signaler, this speeds up any future communiques, but so does leveling up the signaler. And it’s cheap too)
Trench(You’ll probably use this for your front liners)
Morter Trench(A circular form of a trench, it not only reduces damage, morters fire faster when in here. It’s also bigger, so it’s a better idea to camnet these instead of a normal trench)
Camnet(This is a very handy building, so long as you get rid of liebstandartes quick. It makes anyone underneath it not count towards your squad total, which means waves will be less tough, and less chances of you getting air striked).

i prefer craters when fighting maruaders and forests when fighting players…
honestly terrain only slightly effects the battle, so hence just becuase you have got terrain advantage doesn’t mean you win…equipment matters too..

How about for mnb recon an unfair event?

Vietcong Machinegun ambush

5 vietcongs and 6 NVAs appear at your flanks armed with MGs

not to mention 4 choppers barrage you with mg fire… and missiles

possibly….but it is really unfair and brutal so i think urb would like it…

also here is an idea for a germen and allied unit

howitzer
much more power then a morter
more expensive(14 tp)
takes MUCH LONGER to reload
bigger explosian radius
incredibly low accuracy
recommended to have a scout to spot targets for howitzer,germen version has slightly less damage and more accuracy,and is mobile.
must click on howitzer to make mobile
takes a long time to reload

i have an idea for where mnb3 should be put(in my opinion)is in the cold war that way airstrikes choppers and all that good stuff is still there!!!

welll then i jsut hope for the best and bob….i got wiped out by something that wasn’t a combined arms blitz..and my god dude…i need to try that…..not to mention most of the damage was caused by my one soldiers,and that anooying flakpanzer…had to use tnt to destroy a few…becuase my at troops fled or got killed….IT WAS A MASSACRE…everyone ran away and left me to get shot…and i am not i repeat not a retard…

starting new game….this last one i got massacred by panzergrenadiers…

oh man just lost thanks to a massive army of soldiers…
i’m trying a strat called jungle combat,it involves two snipers and 4 soldiers,if the soldiers die replace them with snipers,or scouts or anything else really..don’t use it i found out it ends badly….arty badly…

also valmian hows your ninth game going?

Weapons:M3 Grease Gun and grenades and tnt*10% chance he drops a tnt,chance increases with exp*
Specs:grenadier.explosives expert(chance of self gibbing).

Stealth commendation
requirements:rank 3 snipers up to 2nd liutenant
effects:snipers cloak faster and soldiers get 4% more rifle.

he is armed with a pistol.
he will command fleeing enemies to stop fleeing and fight!!!

this is a new strategy,first save up and advance,then build a morter pit cam net it,then save up for a bunker and if your lucky you’ll be able to afford 3 gunners,place em in the bunker and this how it should look,the trench is optional


i hope it takes me far,i’m gonna work on the at trench soon!

retreat the engie to the morter pit once the at trench is filled,otherwise you risk losing your engie.

This is the situation now,i managed to avoid certain death by laying mines and tnt on the enemy,a miracle occured,my engie survived all the blasts!!!

this is how it looks,it’s a bit blurry cuse i battle paused it,a volkssturm blitz came too,i feel srry for em T.T

a good few died becuase they stepped on a single mine,massacre!

just lost becuase everyone died from a wespe.

this is the situation of my strategy(i paused)

make sure to do the mg nest first!then put in the field hospital!then start camo neting becuase of the medics,keep your engie ready in case a assault pioneer comes and starts laying tnt,you’ll also have to replace the barbwire becuase they’ll cut it!

i once managed to get sarge to rank up an officer then he died…

i’m trying out a new strategy it involves getting an engie and 4 soldiers and getting the soldiers automatic weapons and stationing em in trenches

it looks like this!

the auto weapons are optional,i plan on building a bunker 3 inches away from the trenches in the middle…

I also plan on making a minefield in the middle field to deal with leaks!

note your only salvation is to call in air superiority to cancel it out or put gunners in bunkers and wait for the worst!
