Topic: Serious Discussion / Military Recruiters In Schools(& Anarchy)

This topic started about military recruitment drive then derailed to anarchy and then back to military recruitment and then back to anarchy again. I would advise you to start another topic about anarchy instead.

but anyone can make their voice heard on the internet

But it does not mean everyone who hear it will agree with the author. But I don’t suppose that is ever going to stop you so by all means, go ahead and start preaching anarchy all the way.

and if it still will be, then it will only be political blood, not cililian.

And you expect politicians to sit idly while they are being toppled? No… They will mobilize the military to suppress the revolution. If they need to, they will pass a bill to draft more civilians into the army to do it.

one reason why we need a revolution, anarchist revolution

Globally? Eh… sure. Best of luck to you because anarchist revolution or political revolution of any kind is usually associated with blood being spilled.

if in every country, no one joins, they will have no military, and thus no wars

Good luck with that but I wouldn’t hold my breath on it. After all, we have been waging wars since the dawn of the human kind and I have never seen the whole war business loosing its momentum.

Just because you choose not to go to war, doesn’t mean war doesn’t come to you.

Precisely. Putting a giant lid on top of you and close all your borders will not stop others from invading you. Not provoking or instigating war is a good thing to have but you need to be prepared for it just in case war came knocking at your front door.

It is an arms race after all and in this race, there is no finishing line.

why did they do it though?

Don’t know what motivates these people from carrying out such an attack. A false sense of glory? Righteousness? Mischievous?

ahahaaha they got 26 players!!!!

26 right now… but you can never predict their growth. I seriously don’t know what good would it do to sabotage other people’s site because it only serve more to aggravate them to take their own retaliation against us.

Unless your name is “Kongregate is great” or something similar, how will they know?

Unless you are very discreet about it, you tend to brag in Kong chats and forums. And these sites may have their very own loyal supporters prowling Kong, ready to take any screenshot of any members that claimed to carry out such attacks.

If you did something you are not supposed to do, don’t tell. Loose lips sinks ships, as what they say.

i know its a site, but what happened?

A couple of guys from Kong decided to spam the hell out of their forum and comments. Their (Kong members in question) actions make Kong look like a site full immature haxx0rz and spammers.

Once you have achieved some level of success in doing something, people will start to copy/imitate you. You can’t really do anything much about it unless they violated your patent or copyright.

Oh, one more thing; please refrain yourself from carrying out any “convert” operation to sabotage the site in question because it will reflect badly onto Kong and its community.

Dude, I just want to know one thing: Will any moderator/administrator will ban voodoo_child? If not, why?

If you are seeking vendetta, this is not the place for you to do it. You have our sympathy and support a while back but please don’t overdo it and turn yourself into a troll.

The fun thing about vacation for me is usually the disorganize part, to be spontaneous; may it be just lazing around the hotel or visiting places of interest. My holiday trips are usually comprise of part planned itinerary and part of those spontaneous “go where you feel like going” activities.

Hard to say if having daily doses of blissful feeling will be good or bad but it might turn out to be mundane and less interesting. Come to think of it, I think it is best to have it once in a while, every few months of so.

Interesting subject…

Yes, in fact I felt that feeling a couple of times during my vacations. Just seems so peaceful and my spirit uplifted. Not sure if you could have that kind of feeling everyday but I wish I could though.

Actually it was Paladin being the last poster that got me to read the topic. xD

And the same for me when I saw Carados being the last poster, ha ha ha.

I think many of us do know the reasons why humans go to; war, ideology, greed, religion, dominance, instinct and etc. If we could ever stop ourselves from going to war would be harder to answer though.

This topic is probably not about ants but yes, you are correct; ants do engage in warfare for various reasons.

Meh, with such a light conviction, one would often wonder if a real life Punisher would enact better justice than the court system. Wouldn’t want to kill her though, just bitch slap her to her senses would suffice.

Yeah, I know. I can’t play any of the X-COM games, really. They were made in that weird period of time between DOS and Windows, and don’t work on either.

Quite a number of older DOS games works rather well in DosBox.

Halo? Never played it, not a fan of first person shooters. But I certainly wouldn’t call it “The greatest game of all time”.

Reading the topic title gave me the initial impression of deadly epidemic being spread via Xboxs….

Paladin2K: I don’t think you’re appreciating the long and storied history of democracy. The form you enjoy now was a long, long time coming. Different models of governance take time. They also take education and providing a small working model is an effective way to education and inform others. Everything not tried before is at a trial stage. I’m not really concerned whether or not people accept anarchy. I’d be happy as long as they question their government and the current system that we’re in. Like with pmr0078 wondering how to make it better rather than being satisfied with the status quo.

On the contrary, I do. And I do question the effectiveness of the democracy system, from time to time but on the other hand, I believe there is still some room left for the system to be perfected rather than to scrape it out altogether.

If I may appeared to be very contented of the present system, that is because I take a more subtle and less dramatic stance on the entire situation. But if given the opportunity to embrace changes for the good of all, I wouldn’t be so hasty to rub it off without giving it a serious consideration.

In my humble opinion, there is no point advocating drastic changes and being vocal about it unless I know what I am doing and where I am heading to. After all, I am just a simple man with family to feed and mortgage to pay.

I had excess about 2K+ credits after fully repairing the ship at day 11. In the course of the game, I have purchased: (not counting artillery)

1. Sniper training (x1)

2. Sniper (x1).

3. Nail upgrade.

If I have opted not to spend on those upgrades, I could end the game in 10 days. So such an achievement is very likely. And of course, the “quality” of the enemies also determines the amount of money you earn at the end of each day.

Not that I know of. The ones that I’m familiar with are too busy working to help other people in a more immediate fashion. Providing food, clothing, shelter and education. I think learning to work in an alternate governing system in a small group is far smarter than trying to “start a city”. That way they are free to see what works and what doesn’t as they expand and are free to make changes without the infrastructure that’d weigh them down immediately.

I understood what these people are trying to achieve but it seems that they are still using the old “trial and error” approach to work out the system. That explains why it is difficult to get people to embrace anarchy as a system because it is perceived only at a “trial” (alpha or beta, if you prefer) stage. Isn’t that what it appears to be?

True, true. This kind of argument can’t really be decided in a courtroom, though. The Constitution pretty much prevents discrimination against all parties. There really isn’t a right or wrong answer, it’s based more on people’s beliefs, which can be, and often are contradicting.

Yes, there isn’t much the constitution could do about people who discriminate on other races unless the movement committed hate related crimes (proven in court, that is). But on the other hand, I would wonder if the opposite is true for black American racist movement. Would the law makers be able to tolerate such movement if no laws are being broken?
