So I have a bunch of R500 Pink Crystal gear, which I’ve been enhancing with level 3 Speed rocks exclusively. Using those in HC Apoc, I’ve managed to acquire a complete set of R500 Purple Crystal gear.
QUESTION: What’s the recommended enhancement for Purple Crystal gear, assuming I want to use it for idle mining? All level 10 Critical rocks (to contrast with Pink’s emphasis on Speed)?

Mostly unrelated QUESTION: Does it make sense to use unique enhancers on a +10 item that you intend to fuse with a +9 item? My gut says no.

Hi COG. I’d like to make several suggestions regarding upgrades in the castle area.

(1) The buildings Warehouse (humans) / Verdant Cache (elves) / Dark Cellar (undead), which increase the maximum warehouse capacity for resources, should have their level caps raised, say to level 25.
(2) Similarly, the technologies Dominion / Geomancy / Necrosis, which provide a percentage increase to warehouse capacity, should have their level caps raised too.

I suggest these because as it stands, you have been regularly lifting the level cap on the Palace / Tree of Life / Adumbral Altar buildings, and it happens that in order to upgrade said building to level 26, the Lumber/Stone/Iron required is half your capacity. I imagine that without the aforementioned level caps being raised, eventually we’ll get to a point where you need pretty your entire capacity to upgrade the Tree of Life.

And just to clarify: my usual character was created on server 1 before it was merged with servers 2 and 3. The character I created in my final edit comment is an “S2 char” per server list description. (Why choose an S2 character? To reduce the number of differences between my usual character and the character I created earlier today.)

Also, both AndyC’s server 3 account and my server 1 account are identified as being online (according to the rank page of my S2 character), even though we are suffering from the aforementioned internal errors.

COG, I’m a player on M1. Since the maintenance, I have not been able to do anything with your game other than load the server I play on. Quite literally the very second the server loads, I get kicked out with a message telling me that an internal error has occurred (#-1 for the record – yes, that’s negative one), whereupon I am sent to the log-in screen upon closing the error pop-up. When I click log-in there, I am redirected to the server list page; when I select my server there, this whole issue begins again.

Also, on the messages window in the lower left corner of the game window, I have the following text in red:
[Tips] An internal error has occurred. {#!errno}

ADDITIONALLY: I have done this on three separate browsers, one of which I restarted in between two tries, and one of which I have attempted to play COG on once.

FINAL EDIT: I just created a character on another server, which loaded properly; it seems to me, then, that my internal error problems are primarily server-side, since strictly client-side would mean I shouldn’t have been able to create that second character.

POST-FINAL EDIT: I just tried logging onto my usual server on a computer I haven’t played COG on in about four months. Same error as above.

To somewhat corroborate what rqdelrosario is complaining about: since the maintenance, I swear that, at least 90% of the time, whenever you click a button that causes a window to close or change the map, the button’s action area will vanish noticeably before the rest of the window does.

For what it’s worth: If you look carefully at the daily tasks page, instead of being 5/30/60/90/120 minutes to the reward… it’s now registering at 1/2/3/4/5 minutes.

[EDIT] At least, it was when I was playing right after server reset.

I’d just like to observe that this same phenomenon (world boss is not defeated, retains its HP count) appears to be happening with the 22:00 World Boss on M1, too.

I would like to amend the above: it appears that a recent maintenance wiped out the code that caused the world boss to become harder or easier according to whether it was deleted or not.

COG, you’re badly misunderstanding what Jas is saying. If I remember correctly, each World Boss fight is supposed to get easier (i.e., reduced HP count) if it is not defeated. The morning World Boss on M1 has not been defeated for several days now, and it remains at 245 million HP.

To be fair, it’s entirely possible to match all 15 pairs in 30 moves. Of course, the probability of that happening is on the order of 10^-16, but what’s a ridiculously small probability between friends?

The bigger issue, I think, is that in the long run, you’re more likely than not to have to buy multiple extra chance purchases to clear the board once, no matter what strategy you use.

DaemonVower / anyone else who’s done a reincarnation so far, is it possible for you to give me answers to the following questions re: Hero Reincarnation?

  1. The attribute enhancement image provided in part (a) of the introduction to Hero Reincarnation cites Potential as being 25 and Max Units as 120 in the first reincarnation. Does this indicate that if a hero has been reincarnated once, his/her Potential increases by 25 and his/her Max Units (at any given level) by 120?
  2. Does a reincarnated hero forget whatever skill books he or she has learned?
  3. Does a reincarnated hero that has had a third skill book slot be opened have to have that skill book slot be re-opened after being reincarnated?

I get the impression that these questions can be answered “Yes, on both counts”, “No”, and “No”, given that I haven’t seen any complaints about having to re-open skill book slots (concerns about having to do so, yes, but nothing that indicates that one will have to do so), but it can’t hurt to be absolutely certain, right?

The bug that PrinceTodd101 and silarth are reporting appears to trigger when you open up the unit-specific recruit dialogues, whether Normal or Senior units—for whatever reason, doing so now disables the button that allows you to switch between Normal and Senior units—then close the general recruit window without closing the unit-specific recruit dialogue first. As long as you go back into Recruit and open then close a unit-specific recruit dialogue, it’ll work.

Please note that this never happened to me before the maintenance.

I have a problem with your second proposal, specifically the random pop-up. Not only would your proposal, as is, discourage auto-mousing, it would discourage people starting a boss and going off to do something else while the boss runs in the background, since if I’m reading the proposal correctly they would have to regularly return to their COG tab to click the pop-up to go on to the next fight. Now, sure, this could be nothing more than a slight inconvenience for the earliest team bosses, since they’ve only got a few mobs – but what of higher-level team bosses that have a full complement of 30 mobs, or close to it?

Also, if I’m not mistaken, bosses, alliance wars, and the zombie fights are all done using the same programming.

Actually, yes. The maintenance notice for the 6th mentions that the participation packs would only be sent out for the first week after that maintenance. Since we’ve had a maintenance since then, that week has therefore passed.
