Oscar
The chopper suddenly begins to whirl around. The broken back rotor spins past your car, blasting through the windshield. The cars around begin to skid to a stop, to investigate further. One of the drivers pulls out a camera. The driver sits you down in the backseat, pulls the car back a little, and guns it forward. You notice that he has a scarf covering his face, but not his eyes, which are yellow-orange, like a wolf. He growls as a couple police attempt to block the road, “We don’t have time for this!” He pulls out a pistol and shoots one of the cars in the hood. The car erupts in flames. The police get distracted with attempting to save the people within. The car lurches forward even faster, the wind begins to sting your face. The car gets closer and closer to the blockade. The driver aims at the trunk of one of the cars.
CRRRRSHH
The car’s rear crumples and forces the car to skid out of the way. But when you look, your own vehicle’s engine is on fire. But the driver doesn’t seem to notice…

Maurice
You notice a person following you. He at first tries to hide, but he seems slightly injured, so he is still clearly spotted…

Kent
The Land Rover skids off the edge of the ramp. The driver grunts, acknowledging your success, “Been there, done that I suppose…” As you look forward you notice the wreckage of a chopper, with multitudes of cars surrounding it.
The driver narrows his eyes, which are all you can see, “We’ll take the back way then,” With that, he takes the nearest off-ramp and you’re suddenly in the back country. The driver looks quickly at some Ipod and suddenly pulls the car onto a country road. As you go down, you notice the wreckage of 2 cars, one still burning, the other one, still in semi-decent shape. The driver starts getting tense, “I know that those were 2 of ours…” He begins scanning the road, until you see 2 figures on the side of the road.

Dmitri
The chopper hits the ground with a whirl. The car who you just saved, loses its windshield. The driver looks and notices that its one of the other people in your group. The car suddenly reverses and quickly rushes away from the scene. Cops just arriving at the scene notice them leaving but don’t make chase, instead one of them appears to mutter something into a radio. You begin following the car with no windshield. You see them confront a police blockade, but in a couple sudden moves it is rendered incapacitated, allowing you to pass through the same gap they did. But then you see that there’s flames sprouting out of their front.

You notice the man in front of you stop and look back. You attempt to disguise yourself but its too late, he sees you…

Jake
As you look back, you notice the helicopter spin around like a top, and suddenly collapse. In back of you police cars begin to set up a blockade. The driver shows no signs of stopping, “Don’t even ask to turn back, my job is to get you to Point Tarn,” But even as you look, 2 cars break through the wall of cars, but one of them is starting on fire.

Martin
After your targets are taken out. You suddenly veer off as you hear more gunshots and a Land Rover falls off the side of the road. In front of you, the car gets onto the highway, but just as soon, gets off, into some lonely backcountry. They slow down after they see some car wreckages, you begin to look around, there is no sign of any trouble… yet an unnatural stillness envelopes the scene. The car in front suddenly stops… as you see two people on the roadside…

Off to the side there is a local man with a video camera, he suddenly aims it at you. Without warning, the car lurches forward. The man quickly abandons his previous actions and jumps in his car, following you. The driver grunts as he puts even more gas on. You begin heading towards an on-ramp for a highway, two more cars have joined in the chase. The driver doesn’t look back and shoots the back window, “Take them out if you wish to live,”

Maurice
As you notice all this choas going on around you, your driver quickly drives off to the back streets along with another car. Within minutes, you are on some country path. Suddenly there is a sound of glass breaking and car suddenly stops. You recollect your thoughts as another shot is fired, this time at you. You scramble out of a car and take in your surroundings. You’re out in the middle of the backcountry. The driver, now coughing hands you an Ipod. You do not see his face, but you notice he has tough leather gloves on. The Ipod shows a map with some point 2 miles away, in the middle of the wilderness. Suddenly behind you, you hear a vast explosion behind you.

Dmitri
The driver begins to head onto the highway when he suddenly sees another car being halted in the middle of the highway, by a chopper. You notice the driver pulling out a pistol, as he is still going 70 miles an hour. The rain causes the car to lurch. He tosses you the gun, “Shoot his back rotor, he’ll fall,”

Jon
Your car follows the one who took the back paths. When the car in front of you suddenly stops. Your driver stomps on the brakes, but then something pierces the front of the car
KRRSHOOM
The front of the car explodes into flames. You barely make it out of the car, breath heaving.

Behind you, a black Land Rover throttles up to get side to side on you. The vehicle has tinted windows. The driver tosses something to you in the back, a handgun, “Fire that at them if they get to close to you,” The car gradually gets closer and closer, you turn off onto the highway. The car begins to inch towards you even closer…

Oscar
As soon as you get onto the rainy highway, a traffic helicopter flies over, very low. Horns blare as the chopper barely misses the tops of some cars. “May you please pull over…” The chopper’s megaphone blares, now facing you. “I repeat, pull over right now…”
The driver halts, “Your choice, you can stay in the car and blast past this guy, or get out now….”

Jake
As you zoom by on the highway, you notice behind you commotion as a traffic helicopter suddenly lowers down onto a car

The airplane ride there is rather mysterious. As you get into the upper atmosphere strange shapes circle the plane, gradually getting closer. Fog begins to billow around the plane. To see where he’s going, the pilot turns on the fog/emergency lights, and the shapes disappear suddenly…
The terminal itself is rather gloomy, seeing as there is a sopping rainstorm. At the parking lot outside the airport, you finally spot the other members of this mysterious…. conspiracy, so to speak…

Chapter One: The Beginning

A package arrives to your various homes. Within the package there are 2 things, a CD, and tickets for an airplane ride to Dublin Ireland. The CD’s audio is slightly garbled yet clear….

“As you leave the terminal, a car with the license plate numbers [A different one for each one of you] will take you to a disclosed location, You will recieve further information there, the mission… is of utmost importance therefore I cannot disclose anything more if this is intercepted. If you choose to comply, please do not bring anyone with you. If you do not, continue on with your normal lives… while they still are that way…”

The CD’s audio cuts off with a loud chirp

Yeah, I’m sorry if I’m making too many games or something… but yeah. This is gonna be a little Choose Your Own Adventure.

So what happened was, sometime in the 1980’s some strange occurances happened around random areas across the globe. Witnesses said there were Goblins hacking people up and Faeries fighting them off, Trolls, Griffins, all sorts of nonsense. Well there was enough nonsense to get the FBI involved, long story short, they created a program called ‘Operation Shadow King’ This involved agents across the United States and other countries to patrol seemingly random areas of the Globe in search of openings or “Gates”

Where you come in is me, I’m a defector from the FBI. This secret’s a little too big for just the government to handle. I’ve been to the other side… trust me… something worse then Hell will break loose otherwise
