Well it is windows xp for starters. The stuff on the inside i don’t really know because i haven’t looked inside and if i did i don’t know what most of it is. So when i select ‘safe mode’ to start up it says “multi(0)disk(0)partition(1)\windows\system32\drive” Multiple times with a few things after that. I took pictures but i am not sure if i can post them in this box or not. and it doesn’t work id i say ‘recommended settings’ the normal start up. Doesn’t work in any of the other modes either.

OK so i want to build a decent computer. I have this old desktop that we used when i was about 11 or 12. It isn’t factory (it has different parts etc.), but i cant figure out what’s wrong. It wont complete the starting windows cycle. It won’t let me enter safe mode either. I just want to see what i’m working with here with this desktop. Any suggestions? Oh and i am not experienced in this it’s just a hobby i wanna try.

With the certain set up couldn’t i use gotoAndPlay and send it back to the first frame of the level? :O Obviously that isn’t all of the code, but wouldn’t that work to restart the level since it doesn’t have code?

I don’t have a level code yet. This is the first game i have coded, and i just started it. What i have is my main menu the credits screen and the instructions screen. All the buttons work for going to and then back to the main menu. Since i don’t know much AS3 my enemy’s are moving on motion tweens. I am not sure if this will be a problem or not. If so then i will need a simple enemy moving across the screen code. The game is sort of like the impossible game -You have a square and you jump over oddly shaped other squares. Once i get the enemy’s and such i need to research some code to give points due to how long you last. (i am not worried about that stuff yet. I want to take it one thing at a time and learn what the code means/does. – But it doesn’t have to be very good cause the teacher just wants to see how much we have learned so far….(not any as from him…) Let me know if i need to do some more explaining! :o

Alright so i was making a story line up in my head, and i wanted it to become a game. It would be a SINGLE PLAYER game. The game would use movie/picture w/ voice segments to explain part of the story. The game would use a “top view” design. STORY LINE: Teenage guy is forced to flee his town in his “beater”(old car). That is a very very vague explanation, but you should know i wouldn’t give all the details until me and the dev agree on the terms. Comment with questions.
