The fact that nearly a full 24 hours later and my post is still there shows you the DEVS gave up on this thread long ago. As for you Jfenz, I do not believe I am special in any way shape or form (thanks to Nirav for the kind words though). However, the amount of support I have given the game financially, along with a lot of players over the years (many of which have already quit) have in fact kept this game running since the DEVS will not put time into a game that is not profitable. So I agree that a single person leaving won’t make a dent in the game’s longevity, but when you add them up over time it sure will. Don’t you agree “bro”?

That’s why we introduce many new players to the game. :) Sure, too much new for people that have been here for 2,3, or even 4 years (if it’s been around for 4 years…) but the point is, lay off the DEVS…It’s their job to keep what ever they believe will work alive, and people like you make that just a tad more difficult. Tyrant will be as good as it has been, new content to keep the game play fresh and fun. :D Who could ask for more?

People like me have kept this game running on kongregate for over 2 years, and many of the actions by the DEVS have pushed players like me into quitting. They, and you, are free to do as you all please. However, constant expansions without serious work on the game continues to be a major concern since almost a year ago when Awakening was released. DEVS keep throwing more “mini-games” (tourny, CQ, FW, , crafting, missions, raids, arena power ranking, events) into the umbrella that is Tyrant….instead of trying to improve the core aspects that made the game more successful which were FW, raids, tournys.

I agree that change can be great and a static game will lose its player base over time. I would however argue that constantly shoving new packs (ever 1-3 weeks) into the game is just as bad…if not worse. Especially when they are trying to “spice” things up by tweaking old cards for nostalgia sake.

ppl like u dont keep the game running. just leave bro and the game will be the same minus all the useless trolling u do

They are not the same cards. They have enough significant changes that we couldn’t do them as upgrade cards.

Now I’m curious how the cards actually look like.
I’ll be awaiting spoilers.

However, if MSU is in fact correct that this is some odd way of dodging upgrading cards, then I expect the community to not be particulary happy, just saying.

Not dodging upgraded cards….finding a way to turn the upgrading process into profit. I guess they released “too much” free content with upgrades and buff and now we gotta pay for it….count me out.

I don’t think this will in fact be upgraded cards by new pack, but rather, some faces which never got cards, seen in campaign (Octane, Katana for instance) would get cards.

I could care less. From the way they have made it sound they are coming up with no new content and are just finding a way to recycle old content as they move ever closer to finally admitting the train ride is over.

Factions who focus on wars seem to imply that warring is a drag inherently, which is why they openly admit that they need incentives to continue playing. You see, not giving them more rewards is “breaking” wars. It’s childish and sad to not whine openly about factions who take the easy route deserving more rewards, just like it’s childish and sad to imply that conquest rewards should reflect their greater difficulty.

I believe this would be the best solution:

1) Reset fp and create 3 month seasons
2) Shrink factions down to 30-40 (It would not be hard for most factions to find 10 accounts they no longer wish to carry)
3) Strip away level reward cards and award factions based on their final standings in both CQ and FW…which means those factions who have the fortitude to play both areas of the game are rewarded twice for their effort, however you don’t have to play either to get the rewards.

For example (these are just suggestions):
Top 1 faction gets 30 shards and 5 random token purchasable packs
Top 2-5 factions get 10 shards and 5 random token purchasable packs
Top 6-10 get 5 shards and 5 random token purchasable packs
Top 11-20 get 25k gold and 5 random purchasable packs
Top 21-50 get 15k gold and 3 random token purchasable packs
Top 51-100 factions get 5k gold and 1 random token purchasable pack.

In my scenario everyone loses equally and nobody gets what they want…which is the most fair way of doing it since it is impossible to give everybody what they want.
