Topic: Tyrant / I finally realize the sole reason why this game has fallen

Well yes the powercreep did hit yu-gi-oh pretty badly.
I only played the dark revelation sets , though coming back recently to yu-gi-oh i see major difference in power but even back then cards were bad designed in general.

In general nerfing cards will disstatisfy buyers who bought the card because they expect to use this card at a certain standard , changing the standard will leave them most likely not happy or otherwise not confident to buy new cards in the future.

Topic: Tyrant / [SPOILER] New Upgraded Cards (August 6, 2013)

Gaia 4,5/5 : A rather powerfull commander , its a good thing she is righteous exclusive though as imagne a fear deck around it could get of hand rather quickly.
Blight tower 3/5 : Not bad , a decent defensive structure albeit somewhat slow.
Theodysseus ?/5 The flurry might be an overkill though i haven’t used Theodysseus much , There is no early righteous rally support i may say its balanced in its own good way but that remains to be seen
Smog tank 2/5 : Not terrible but i hoped Smog tank could’ve been a little bit more intresting
Abominable Horror 3/5 : Not to bad , i can imagne that this can be very usefull some missions or in the future , for though its to slow.
Pulsifier 1/5 : Comperable to lightning strider though that card wins over this pulsifier in most aspects imo
Elite Diver 3,5/5 : A very intresting upgrade , it kinda remains to be seen if it will find some use in the future.
Extinguisher 1,5/5 : Strike all 1 today doesn’t ball as powerfull as it use to be and this upgrade helps very little , there are better beserk options(hello abomible horror!)
Asp 1/5 : Admirable effort but Asp remains a lacking in many aspect and many card outshine it.
Smog 0/5 : ……really?

True the increased energy cap helped a lot definitly but the income/prize ratio is still very unbalanced bot or not.

Assumptions: 14h activity, no wb energy upgrades, lvl150. Unsure about the starting energy, iirc it was 200 during HW and 500 now. Feel free to recheck my numbers, did it quickly and sloppy (inbe4 that’s what she said).

-HW: 840E + 200E (start) at 15.91g= 16546.4 g /day

===>3.62 days per pack.

-Terminus: 840E + 500E (start) – 150E (quests at subpar winrate)

1190E at 19.5 = 23205 + 10000 (quests) = 33205 g /day

===>3.75 days per pack.

I’m not taking higher sell price of cards and shards into consideration.

O dear i didn’t took quest into consideration! I was kinda tunnel-vision’d about selling components(but lets not count in to much of that since it was mainly rng based and was introduced later).

Your calculations are accurate as far i can see.

Topic: Tyrant / What does everybody think of the high health meta?

Well tyrant always a certain deck type dominating the whole competition whereby a single card is the core cards like Utopia beacon/abomible rashka , Iron maiden , zarak/monarch etc.

However most of their reign only lasted about 1/2 expansions.
Ever since the devs start upgraded the cards the changes in meta goes incredible fast that i can’t keep up. Though because enrichment vial is insanely good that you only needed 2 TI with EV to kill the majority of the commanders, hell they were even strong without the upgrade.
We know the rest….

I’m not positive about the current state since the amount of competitive decks has shrink to about 4-5 viable decks and an unknown amount of niche decks i’m probably not aware of.

The scaling of hp i find it rather overwhelming and somewhat unneccesary as a simple nerf could’ve prevented most of this HP increase.

Pretty much majority of the zero wait cards were and are useless due their limited capacity(safe sulfuris sentry , hovering pest , frontline warrior , impulse walker and photon dish)

i found it reasonable untill i come to know that there differesent series of cards.
Rendering majorit of my collection useless as the series progress , and i do mean useless.

If have for example ‘’blue eyes white dragon’’(serie 1 card i believe) you cannot use that bad boy in serie 2 or beyond.

pretty ridiculous imo.

Impressive raid you’ve put togheter Almight_Jado though i cannot disagree with Masterluke as Pyro rigs with Jekel and Ospry do have large advantage over this raid.

Right now you’re disencouraging dedicated players who want’s to more from your game and i don’t disagree with those people either as the energy ratio between spend and gained is fairly unbalanced to be enjoyable.

Topic: Tyrant / Mimic is too OP

1.Mimicking a faction specific skill will indeed turn it universal.
But that issue is later on so minor that you won’t care about it.

2.Somthing that can mimic can either steal its combat program or A.I which in the day of today can be peformed without a certain database being active.

3.You will be suprised how fast a homecomputer can guess a password and seeing tyrant plays in a science-fiction realm i guess decrypting also becomes faster.

Faction specific – Well most of those cards are left to dust due to mimic and otherwise big guess work , plague duster has its uses in some raider missions but like i said , its hard to balance it out. Ofcourse additional of those might be appropiated.

Cross-faction – lets be honest here , majority of us care about the mechanics over the story :P
I mean at some point of the game it tells that a ship carries your whole forces/buildings with it(Titan , xeno mothership etc)and yet uhhh stealthy enough to sneak into an another ship(credits to hh) .But i do get your point as cross faction possible enchance the story by making little bit more sense.

Stun + on attacked = so far as i know there is no note-worthy stun and on attacked combo so i will give a plumb.

On-kill by strike/poison/counter = i disagree with this idea only because of worldbreaker really , the rain of strike all 2 will temper the balance by a great deal.

Faction specific skill doubling = i would disagree with this one ,its fairly hard to balance it out since it may get out of control fast or leaves a faction totally in dust. ,

Cross-faction = i’m mixed about this idea since cross faction do have a rather large advantage over mono faction cards but it does encourage the use faction specific cards more which i really would like.

Legendary – legendary = Well , swipe essentially triples the attack power of a card. And no hearth of corruption rally all 1 is not neglected because it does really rally your cards , not rally all cards on the right 1

If stinger slider gets chaos’d and mimic’s your soulsteel mount , you’re toast
Netherlites are affected by anti-air
Pierce might be enough to kill an armored/protected on death assault card
Disease might kill the on-death cards , besides BT have fast rally thanks to asylum.
May kill on death cards faster because of valor while with raptor can give you some time.

Edit : This thread reminds of back when i played mtg where a friend of mine used a regen + ‘’day of judgement combo’‘(destroy all creatures). When i thought that ’’wrath of god’’(Destroy all creatures, cannot be regenerated) was strictly better

I don’t see any new gold purchasable energy upgrade even after refreshing a few times maybe you should try look for that problem.

Further the new reward cards are not impressive but also not bad so i won’t complain about that.

I can’t tell much about conquest since i don’t participate pvp that much

Knowing from my past experience that the gain is only of fp about 6-7 on average.(And i’m not including losses)
This is pretty tedious.
It took people already many months to reach lvl 20 begin with.

But then again , were the rewards ever worth it?(Well besides ravenous dredge back then and warehouse*)

Well untill we get a favorable rework towards the raid , i would say nah
Currently raids are rather repetitive since you have to do the battles many times over again.

An another problem with raids are that imo they don’t feel highly rewarding after all what you’ve been through (save hephatat in its own good time and maybe Azure reapers to some degree)

And just saying that before upgrades existed , strike all + IM was the kinda ruler of raids and missions (and viable in pvp in a more proper setting) , just to let you know that a raid based on sunder , weaken and refresh alone are kinda outclassed rather easily :p
