Topic: Technical Support / Possible Solution for Connection Problem

Hey all,

i did had serious problems connecting to kong the last 4 days always getting a connection failure. Today i found some time to dig into that problem for which i found a solution within 2 minutes.

After a short ping to www.kongregate.com i got the error that the host could not be found. So i changed the used DNS server in my router configuration to use a specific one instead of the default DNS server provided by my provider (i am now using 217.97.186.148). After restarting my router everything worked fine again.

it would help a lot if we could disable system messages. Especially if faction wars are running the world channel is more or less unusable since its totally overfilled with messages. I dont see the point in giving a system message about weather change and city ownership changes at all.

However, it might also be an option to create a new faction wars channel and let all those messages go there leaving the world channel for world chat.

The city seizure scores are somewhat unscaled.

81-100=20
61-80=10
41-60=8
21-40=3
1-20=1

So starting at one, increased to 3 up to lvl 40 – i can follow that. Then more than double the score for up to lvl60 (increase of 5), while the next step up to lvl80 yields just 2 additional scores? Why not scaling them the right way and increase seizure scores with the level of the seized city gradually? E.g.:

81-100=20
61-80=12
41-60=7
21-40=3
1-20=1

this is the wrong approach. If this game gets a low rating, no new players will join and by that i) less players to fight against which is the cause of this problem and ii) less motivation for the developers to take action ragarding all bugs and so.

So everyone rate this game high, so that community increases and everything gets better!

Tournament battles setup needs a major change!

tournament battles are like parity battles – both players cards, artifacts and so on are equalized. so for tournament i does not really matter how high or low ranked your opponent is.

thats really a problem. i also encountering that quite a lot. also it seems if you’re winning on a very frequent basis you also dont get any reward even if fight one specific opponent the first time that day.

i would like to know why Raven, wich does have arial atack type, can be blocked by Radar, which should only block ballistic attack types? This seems wrong and buggy in my opinion.

there’s a bug belonging to powerups and whats listed in the profile. i’ve had a match against mezzo, who has all quarks active – but i did not seen this in his profile.

So why are not all acrtifacts /powerups listed in the profile?

Extra info

there is one part actually not correct (or it has changed):
“If you open a fire gate with an orb, you will get a Demon Wings for free”

i got my demonwing by using a thunder orb. So i assume it does not matter which orb you use, you will get premium ally just for first orb usage.

A suggestion would be rather than having a fancy description when choosing a starting hero, put what each hero special ability is and what kind of formation is more recommended, which also require more info on formation effects, i found archers and cavalry can dodge all damage, some infantry can parry and others can counter attack but they can only do one kind of “ability” so a unit that parry can counter etc.
So yeah, more description of the actual gameplay.

i second that. Also lots of those help pages are not in place yet. I would welcome seeing those descriptions fullz implemented beforehand enabling anz new feature. Otherwise i fear this will be left incomplete forever.

ok … i see the point regarding the diamond requirements.

another one: i did never observed any critical hits, relly never. I have leveled crit formation so i do have actually crit chance but it does not trigger. And i do not belive that i were that unlucky to never score a critical during my last 300 battles (should have occured at least one two times).

i doubt that this is correct. I would assume that every bonus is summed up to a total bonus and not applied consecutively! So instead of multiplying each bonus, the formula is more
(0.54+0.1+0.25+1+0.5) times xp=2.39*base xp

i just bought a carryall bag – but mow said that an error occured. No further mail or message. The error message was to long to read fully so i have no clue what actually went wrong – and now 38 points are gone and no 18 extra slots for me. Would be nice if someone could take a look into that.

Hey,

i do have some questions and hope some of you can give me an answer since i could not find any thread covering those topics.

1) What effect do Temple levels have (e.g.: diff between temple lvl1 and lvl2)?
2) What effect does the “worship benefit” of collection items have, if any?
3) If an (almost epic) equipment says “all levels peltas hp +3”: does this mean that peltas get +3Hp per level, so tier4 peltas get +13hp or does this mean something different?
4) I dont see any proft in skilling merchants in capacity and charm. Capacity does increase max cap by 5 for one point and i never had the problem that i could not buy enough items due to low charm. So putting all into persuasion seems the only plausible one. Can someone enlighten me on that?

all of us would like to know the exact formula. What i can tell you is that the damage is not calculated for each ally individually and the summarized to calculate your total damage. Allies are packe to specific stacks and calculation is done on that stacks – but how exactly remains a mysterium.

one of the biggest issue i see along with this super ally avatars: I dont know the exact ratio on how much more platin drop rate you do have if you come first or second in raids but this can be a boomerang in the long end – means, investing massively solely in allies can armortize in the end …

its not my intention to blame all those who have invested a lot of money by saying nerf those extra allies – i just wanted to point to this problem from the more theoretical perspective.
