Wow I don’t know where to start…so let’s start with, its really nice of you to share your insights with the community!

That said:
- You collect money even if the game is closed
- It does go forward to the next level when open as soon as you have reached level 100, you get the progression mode (toggle on/off) to auto-forward
- So keeping the game open instead of closed is only important IF you have progression mode to reach higher levels (and thus more income).

Spending time on clicking 15 heroes to lvl 3000 is clicking each individual hero 30 times and all in all 450 times. It is quite a lot of clicking.

Thats what I meant when I said I do not like to do that.

Why are you so selfish, late-gamers? (Again, not everyone, just the ones who have expressed their dislike based on their own values what could set them forward in the game i.e. not caring for others)

My point in saying leveling-up unneeded heros is a nuisance has nothing to do with late-game. In fact, late-gamers can do what you described above (click 450 times to get to 3k for all heroes). But when I was at an earlier stage, leveling up those heros was far more tedious because I had to watch the individual costs of each hero to maximize effect.

To sum it up, im not against making hero leveling for souls gain. I personally do not like to do that clickfest for that, not in mid and not in endgame, so this would be something that can be improved by devs. Still, go get your ancient for that, I dont mind! :D

Hero levels give you a few souls, important at early game, ok until eraly midgame, irrelevant at later midgame.
I get like 50k souls per ascend, I dont level up heros for another handful of souls.

AND I like it that way, because I have no interest in spending time on leveling up all those “unnecessary” heroes, which is a nuisance to do each time you ascend.

Topic: Clicker Heroes / No longer an idle game.

The idle tag doesn’t mean that the developers believe it is an idle game. It means that someone tagged it as idle, and Kongregate users voted it up enough for it to stick.

You are right…description says: Kill monsters, collect gold, upgrade heroes, use skills, find treasure, kill bosses, and explore new worlds in this epic adventure!

Instruction says: Click on the monsters.

Name says: Clicker heroes.

We just proved its not an idle game at all! :-D

To get back on topic; Im still with the orginal post, offline bonus (idling) right now is quite useless in mid/endgame, could be improved somehow.

I agree with Jiffy, the HS bonus is kinda like an artifact.
If it gets removed somehow, of course there’d be the need to do something to rebalance the game esp for new players, which i believe needs to be done anyway.

Some figures:

My Cid, level 1300: 42 Billion Click damage
My total Click damage: 516 Duodecillion

So Cid does not contribute “maybe 1%”. A billion Cids would not add one billionth of my damage…its like a drop in the ocean.
It may be better in lower stages, but the effect still stays near zero.

Great guide for new players.

One possible small addition to PRIMAL BOSSES:

If you can’t defeat a primal boss at first, you can try the same boss again later.

Or similar wording…this was something I wasnt sure when I first saw these, as the patch nodes say “Every 5th zone starting on zone #105 has a chance of having a Primal Boss as the first boss you fight”, so I was afraid it was gonna be away if I changed levels.

That’s still too overpowered. 26 ascensions and you’re straight into frost leaf territory and all others are useless.

It may be powerful, but overpowered? If we started with a few frostleafs and – in your case – cid at level 26, and no skills bought, it’d still be a lot of work to get to a standard layout (before trying to get heros to level 1000+). A treebeast level 25 may be useless against a frostleaf at level 1, but that’s the case too if you start over normally, you just need an hour or so more – and the real “fun” starts when trying to get damage higher with frostleaf at like level 100, where he’s NOT the only option anymore.

In short: I like the idea, and after ascending 25+ times, its not really overpowered. You don’t get this as a noobie after ascending a few times!

no isaacsmitty is not making a good point. the creator stated that he has a limit for joining, not that people need to leave after reaching that, and that the limit is increasing with time. so that guild may kill Rhal eventually, in a few months maybe.
that said, maybe it is still a better idea to join a more experienced guild that can kill big raids NOW and give better advice. :P

What Dasts said is clever. But the real point is, does the game want us to collect a looot more ressources by “doing nothing”? The social component (facebook games) just wants people to log in as often as possible, so give them short collection times. From a balancing and conceptional point of view, the game is not a builder game where you harvest MOST of your ressources, thats just a nice addon – and this would be reversed. I mean, I collect maybe twice a day, if I autocollected 8 times a day thats a real boost. And changing one game mechanic requires more changes elsewhere…

so, no. :P
