You lost your save files every time you closed the browser? Then it’s likely that you’ve set your browser to clear cookies upon closing.

Just for clarification clearing your cookies will NOT clear your saved game data.

What are the guidelines for uploaded content?

First, it must be a game. Kongregate does not allow Flash movies, regardless of how great they might be. There has to be some level of interaction with the player.

Although we’re still in the process of establishing specific guidelines for acceptable content, obscene, pornographic, and hateful material are not allowed and never will be.

Most importantly, uploaded games (including all components of games, such as audio) must be your original work or work you have permission to upload from the owner. Kongregate has absolutely no tolerance for uploading stolen content. Violators of this policy will automatically receive a one-week ban without warning on the first offense, and a permanent ban on the second.

You don’t have to restrict access to the user folder you can restrict it at the subfolder (gamez folder for instance) level to keep wanted or unwanted content from being saved through flash (or other programs), etc.

50 rates a day isn’t rate spam. Rating 30 new maze games a day a 1 or 2 isn’t really spamming and you’re limited to 50, not really spamming, but yeah if you’re not rating games good luck.

Um, pretty much all Windows OS will allow an Administrator to deny access to any folder by another user (not in the Admin group) by taking ownership of that folder and changing security permissions. XP is an example.

Don’t mean to thread hijack but this is incorrect. Your game saves are stored in .sol files which are not ON the cookies at all.

If you don’t have administrator rights on your machine you may not have permissions to write to the macromedia folder and hence why your games won’t save. Check that and let me know.

Sounds like your flash player crashed for some reason.
