“Personal preferences” as in what the individual customer wants; my bad on not being more clear with that. What the customer can use would be whatever any customer of that class asks for.
I’ll use the thief Rupert for example. He can be sold only daggers as weapons, but thieves can use either daggers or thrown weapons so when equipping for a quest you could give him a Fire Dagger or Circus Knives (random example but the first two items to pop in my head). Same with armor; you could never sell him a Plated Leather Armor but you could easily equip him with one for a quest if you wanted.
Basically what they can USE would be the top row listing weapons and armor for each class and personal preferences would be each individual customer’s row under it with X’s in some of the boxes.
Any clearer?

Not sure, but you can use the customer page on the wiki for weapons and armor; just ignore the personal preferences as quest equipment goes by what the class can USE not what the customer WANTS.

http://www.edgebee.com/wiki/index.php?title=Customers

As far as the extra item goes, all customers can use any item (scrolls, herbs, potions, amulets or rings) in that slot EXCEPT berserkers who can only use rings or amulets.

Topic: Swords & Potions 2 / Druid + Sorceres

If you run into a major resource overlap like that, you could just go back to one of their most basic recipes. Druid needs to make a pretty substantial number of healing and regen herbs his level 11 recipe so you could have the sorc burn through elfwood while the druid builds up those. Or conversely have the druid progress and utilize the sorc and your leather to make as many magic scrolls as you can (the scroll tree being the BIGGEST precraft grind with magic scroll being needed for EVERY other recipe as either a direct precraft or for a midway precraft). Use knarfbot ahead of time to figure out exactly how many of the asterisk items you should work towards but you could always try and sell the extras on WT or just to random customers.

This might be a stupid question but: do you have enough gold to BUY the half priced item from the customer and do you have any items to suggest? I’m not sure but categories they like even if the item is above their level should still be suggestable since you get prompted to use a medallion but if you have nothing for them there’s no suggest button. Same as when customers on events lack the quest button.

If you’re gonna try and venture into selling armor you need to decide what type of armor. The armorer makes heavy armor (sells to berserkers, guards, knights, soldiers, barbarians), leatherworker makes medium armor (sells to thieves, musketeers, engineers and archers) and the tailor makes light armor (sells to evokers, healers, illusionists and bards.)
The armorer does use a lot of iron though, AND she uses the anvil for a workstation so you can’t have her and a blacksmith without 2 anvils (and even then your iron will go that much faster).
If you want to have a set team and not switch at all, I recommend leatherworker with druid and blacksmith. Druid can handle the miscellaneous items, blacksmith makes axes for archers, daggers for thieves and swords for musketeers while the leatherworker’s armor items sell to all 3 classes.

Druid vs. sorceress: matter of opinion. Might want to take a look at the wiki and look at both their crafting trees and decide for yourself. The druid’s herbs and sorc’s potions both sell decently enough, it’s just a matter of what you want to make. Just remember to upgrade your bins since eventually as your recipes progress you’ll run into some overlaps with any worker setup.

Berserkers also can’t use shields, unlike all the other heavy armor wearing customers. As for a level 10-12 armor item for them: either shell gauntlets (level 5 item worth 12k for 1 phoenix feather and assorted regenerating resources) or swift iron boots (enchanter made after completing antivenom) worth 7400.

Assuming (probably) that the worker just crafts and nothing else happens. Resource gathering means each craft takes X seconds longer between issuing the order and the start of the craft and any time spent in menus issuing orders to other workers, customer interaction or just general perusing of your recipe book or quest lists pauses all timers except for real world clocks (quests/events, resource regeneration and daily login counter).

Sharpshooter is a level 5 SHOPKEEPER gun recipe, not tinkerer. Achievement unlocked recipes are either for the shopkeeper or the worker the achievement was tied to but the game doesn’t specify which unless you check for it under your recipe book.

Knights, musketeers, and I’ve also had illusionists coming in with scrambled avatars despite cache clearing, browser restarting and computer restarting and now the potion of return is shown with a scrambled blue box with the words “NO IMAGE”. Also, the “sell 10 items” button for trade still comes up with an odd brown progress window under some items, though there is no longer the screen long green progress bar extending from it(at least for me).

Edit: All customers are appearing as normally now (although as others have said, no monks yet despite being unlocked). Once they started showing up as they should was when the potion’s picture got glitched though. After going through every page in my recipe book (not complete, but fairly large) the potion of return is THE ONLY item with a “no image” image: on the trade page, recipe window, sorceress’s crafting menu, chest depositing icon and for city contributions (both on the city screen as well as on the donation screen). I am able to contribute the potions, just not see the image for the item itself.

You can learn this by clicking the “Refresh” button underneath the Contributors listing.

There’s no refresh button for buildings that are completed or under construction though, only those that are able to take contributions.

Auto Build Pre-Reqs
There needs to be an option – even a paid feature – that allows a worker to automatically build pre-reqs for an item when they don’t exist.

So if you need 2 cloaks for an apron and you click to build an apron, the worker will automatically makes 2 cloaks first if they are not available.

If you buy Mithril Gears (the only premium item you can’t get for free somehow) you can extend your crafting queue, allowing you to tell your luthier to make a flute followed by a bugle and then make the set of bagpipes that requires both. Not exactly the way you suggested, but the method does exist in a way.

I’ve had an interesting problem. I had more ressource than my bin size, due to steel earned from a quest added into a full bin. I gave production order for an item using this ressource, changed my mind about it, cancelled the task, and the ressource was not returned, instead it was reduced to bin max capacity.

That’s not a bug, that’s the way resources work. You can only go above the cap if it’s a quest reward deposit. If you had finished the day out and changed your mind during the night phase and swapped the worker then any resources marked for whatever craft you had ordered (except for item resources, which I think THAT is a bug) go back and get restocked. But if you logged off and came back an hour later when your bins were all full; then if that worked like that you would have gone above your bin max. It’s set up to avoid players trying to cheat the regeneration system.

I don’t see how to look at the past levels when a building is able to receive contributions, but there should be little arrows on either side of the full list of contributors during it’s construction phase and when it’s at max level.

1) Rare materials are listed under your inventory (click inventory on the city screen or any of your chests during the day) and click the “rare material” category button which is a large diamond on the second row, far right.

4) If you just exit the build screen without confirming your changes everything should revert back to the pre-change state: placement, upgrades, money refunded.

2 and 3 are good suggestions that have been stated so frequently before the only problem is getting Edgebee to actually implement them.

I believe the ranking is not on a per level basis. If the building is under construction or is complete and you’re able to check the contributions for all of the previous levels, you’ll notice that the top 3 contributors don’t change which suggests that if you’re listed as having donated 60% of the building’s construction costs it’s 60% of ALL the levels up to that point rather than 60% of just the last completed one.

Let us assign workers to an specific workstation.

I have two luxurious tables, one with the resources needed for antivenom near, but most of the times the enchanter chooses the other table for no apparent reason.

If the tables are of different levels, workers will always choose to utilize the lowest level station that is available to them that can be used to craft whatever item you want from them. So between a Tier 3 level 1 table and a Tier 2 level 5, the enchanter will always (as long as both are vacant and a high enough level for the craft) choose the Tier 2 level 5. Only a minor fix, since if they’re the same level I don’t know how the decision is made but it offers some help.

Refresh. It’s a common bug, which obviously needs to be fixed but is also easily enough solved that it’s not horribly game breaking. It’s more just an annoying issue that typically crops up if a work station finishes upgrading mid-session.

Everything carries over if you move from one city to another with the slight exception of customers and resources as those are dependent on how developed the new city is in comparison to the old one. What constitutes a contribution is each click of the button to donate gold, items, send an adventurer on a city quest, or hammers (in lieu of any of the above 3). Your donating 10000 was probably 10 donations of 1000 each, totaling 10 contributions for the citizen line of achivements and 10000 gold for determining contribution rating.

Nothing else requires Alert Dust as a crafting component, but you need 500 for a city upgrade down the line (level 8 Fabric Mill).

Topic: Swords & Potions 2 / Object Stash?

There is no “furniture storage” unfortunately. If you’re rearranging your shop from time to time though you can place objects outside of your store on the street so that you can arrange things but you won’t be able to save the changes you’ve made while something is out there. That’s about the best you can get right now.

Yes, everything maxes out at some point; when that is depends on the item.

http://www.edgebee.com/wiki/index.php?title=Shop_Improvements

That’s the wiki page; it lists all the shop improvements and how many of each there are, as well as how many of each you can have, sizes, and costs.

Just to clarify Thought’s comment: Every item doesn’t have a chance of being requested, at least not by every customer. Each customer has 4-6 (at least 4, might be more than 6 since I don’t know the highest level ones) categories of items they like. Any item that the customer can use (meaning is at the minimum level for) out of those categories can be requested. For example, you can sell thrown weapons to thieves, but only thieves that have thrown as one of their preferred item types so you can’t sell any darts to either of the first 2 thieves, but the first one you unlock through the inn you can. The items they prefer are listed under the customer page of the city screen (mouseover the name and it’ll come up) or when speaking to them in your shop in the gray window that shows their level and name.

Main worker recipes are unlocked through achievements; enchanter recipes are unlocked from some recipes from other crafters. How exactly did you unlock these recipes? If, for example it was the spider shield after crafting bone shields with your carpenter, that’d be an enchanter recipe and you wouldn’t see the recipe unless you’re looking at your enchanter.
