I am really excited about the things we have planned for you over the next couple months. I am listing the latest and greatest news here!

under league, there is a button labeled settings. hit it. you should new be seeing two settings- set status to away, and leave league. to leave a league, hit leave league. then you should be able to re-join any league- possibly with a period of time between leaving and returning.

if it consumes just event tickets, it won’t go into your collection, however, any event that consumes your packs adds the cards to your collection. so monday night heroes and draft night add the cards you get to your collection, along with a [packname] draft (not to be confused with [packname] phantom draft)

you can get some of them by doing i0/14.5, but most of these cards have been nerfed, buffed, or otherwise modified. you can get simple tools into your deck by using a scarabtron, which you can get in your deck by depleteing johnny tinkertron. however, if it doesn’t have a rarity, it’s probably exclusive. if it isn’t, it is almost certainly not worth using

So, what did Lucas Art do…they nerfed the Jedi, successfully disenfranchising those who invested serious time in this particular class, and at the same time, poisoning the waters for those who would have gladly spent the time trying to become a Jedi. The game eventually tanked.

So, if LOH devs want to prevent brokeback Jedi syndrome, they need to do two things:

1. Listen to those who have been around from day 1 (not a claim I can personally not claim)
2. Don’t mess with what works, but instead, add enhancements that balance game mechanics that do work, ie…don’t nerf cards, but add cards to balance out powerful legendaries and epics.

Just my 2c

P.S. When I payed actual money to obtain Legendaries through purchasing packs, I feel ripped off that what I paid for will be changed into something I most likely would not want. As I have mentioned to several of the Devs, I will not invest a single dollar more until the broken mechanics that have been put into place have been changed back.

people actually complain a lot about most of the changed cards. Chit Chat might be acceptable, but you can kill yourself from it alone in 5 turns with haste but without pulls, and in 2 turns with pulls, abyss blocks all allies from being drawn, and, on deplete, makes you deplete one per ally in your deck, basically ruining allies. CC, while maybe balanced in PvP, is OP in PvB, and hardly anyone uses any other source of WC, so it might be OP in PvP. in fact, CC is the largest part of why WC is considered OP. MoM’s confusion plus 2x reflect is most definitely OP, and even if there were a counter for confusion, i would still pound the keyboard in frustration every time it was played and i didn’t have the counter, which would, with a reasonable deck size, be at least 1 time in 3. if the devs cancel the nerfing of MoM, I would probably quit. that’s all the cards that have been nerfed. the last one on their list, stage whisper, is actually going to be buffed.
and i’m completely in agreement that LvL needs to be changed. I just also think it needed to be changed when they initially released it. the fact virtually no one would use anything but immolate decks is some pretty good evidence to prove this point.

Imagine not being a whale. Being someone who was here from the start doing EFL (Which I can’t stand) every day just so that they could get 4 MoM (I’ve got 2) or six for their LVL deck.

I felt really bad for Non-Stops when they made this decision because at that moment I felt that they’d had a considerable amount of power taken away from them since their greatest power lied in having a chance to play more threats.

It did bother me that having a Billy and 4 OtB didn’t mean much anymore, but adjusted. The only thing that doesn’t make sense to me is why defender decks in LVL are still able to play so many threats. It poses an unfair advantage to the defender.

It makes me remember back to when my friends and I were spending 30-40 hours a week developing our first board game from 2004-2007. In the beginning it took way too long to play the game to completion (around 72 hours) and we kept changing things up to try and get the average game length down to 6-8 hours. Through this process we changed the nature of many aspects of the game. We argued with passion and anger on many nights and managed to get through these arguments and go onto have more arguments because we wanted to improve the game. We were fortunate that we didn’t have hundreds of thousands of clients already playing our game like the people who’ve been frankly doing a horrible job of tweaking with this game.

There are so many things that have yet to be explored in this game that could potentially counter act the effects of cards that some people may deem to be too powerful.

1: Ploys. Sometimes when a ploy catches the user unfortunately has 2 cards that can apply and they’re both used. For example I might have 2X SOD or 1 SOD and 1 NW in my hand and a user plays an ally or a second threat and both of these ploy cards are used. If you wanted to counteract the use of haste or the power of ally cards you could simply have the game only use the first card (From the left or from the right) to be used so that the other play card could remind and still be in use. You could also explore the possibility of having new ploy cards that on banish actually take the card being negated and put it into the ploy user’s deck. This would have been a much better way to off-set the use of haste.

I’ve heard rumblings of Abyss being nerfed and that will very likely force me to stop using the Aco class.

We’ve had so many new sets of cards come out this year, yet very few cards which you could deep innovative or original. Instead for the most part most of the new cards have looked like beefed up or watered down versions of previous cards that already existed.

Why aren’t there more cards that can have effects having to do with cards in the banish pile? This has made anyone with a moxie and a few immolates incredibly powerful.

Why haven’t there been any/more cards that have ongoing effects while in the banish or deplete piles?

Why haven’t there been any cards that effect all users in play?

Why haven’t there been cards that specifically effect specific character types?

Why haven’t there been more cards that block specific cards types from being played?

Why haven’t there been cards that let you steal cards?

Why on earth were Iron Steeds created? If I was able to put together an incredible sleeper deck, I most likely would’ve been incredibly angry when Iron Steeds came into play. Nobody in the right mind runs sleeper decks for their LVL deck anymore. If I lose to a strong sleeper deck all I’ve gotta do now it take out a couple of allies and replace them with Iron Steeds and that poor sleeper deck is as good as toast in one or two attempts. You’ve essentially killed sleeper decks in LVL, which isn’t really fair for some people because it’s possible that sleeper decks are the only kind of decks they’re able to make which are incredibly effective against others. I’ve now got 2 Abyss and 2 Abyss Genesis and I was dreaming of the day that I had six of each so that I could roll a deadly sleeper deck, but that doesn’t matter any more. It almost feels like you guys have taken a species and put it on the brink of extinction.

When you do things like that, whether or not it’s your intention, it alienates your client base. I’ve got a ton of people on my friends list who stopped playing this game. 2-3 of these cases can be merited to their league foreclosing, but most of the other instances were explained to have had to with the players being frustrated with changes in the game.

Please, stop screwing around with the cards that we already love. It frustrates the hell out of a lot of people and tells us that you either lack creativity or don’t care about the time that we’ve put into playing this game.

I really hope the rumours I’ve heard are not true.

i disagree with everything you’re saying except about iron steed. i hate MoM, and abhor most of the other cards that are going to be reblanaced. WC is generally seen as op, as is MoM. abyss blocks all ally draws, which is stupid, and chit chat has been loathed since day one. either they need to make hard counters for them, like the iron steeds you’re complaining about, or reblance them. as a free player, you should be glad they choose to re-balance them, rather than turn them into trash for PvP

When buying said 10 phantom packs…Do they have to be related to the primary badge equipped or should it be some combination?

any type works, but primary badge is ideal. you probably don’t, strictly speaking, need all ten- that’s just how many i buy, so i can clear it quickly. (sertib’s strategy works pretty well, actually, but i like to try as many legends as i can, so i just buy 10 of one kind)

deck size is good, but has diminishing returns even as the cost to get an additional card increases- you should probably get it to around 40, then stop… main badge level is almost always worth upgrading, and you should probably get at least one level in the side badges. event increase has mainly linear rewards, but increasing costs. still, it might be worthwhile for you. momento limit is only worth focusing on if you have some that seem like an impressive boost (i use Show stopper, painful reminder, and scoreboard, personally.) ally limit might be good, that’s really your call. at some point, you’ll want to increase you duplicate limits for allies, attacks and momentoes, but i’m not sure when would be ideal.

always use your free event tickets, to get Hero Coins, and save them for legends- don’t get epics. i would recommend tempus set legends, but it’s your call

additionally, note that 7-9 are actually going to be challenging… i lost a lot when i played through them, and while you might do better, it will be hard- at least in comparison with most of 1-6. most later issues will be harder, but eventually you won’t really notice the difference

goontra, i am here as a representative of the “mermaid dwarf” union to prevent the spread of lies against “mermaid dwarves”. they would like you to make a statement that mermaid dwarves do not have any of those insulting traits you unintentionally implied they have.

repeat after me- unlike other mermaids, mermaid dwarves have a voice like gravel on a chalkboard, and are utterly unattractive. they have a wonderful sense of humor, and do not mind being the butt of jokes- as long as it’s them, and not their family, you’re insulting. their tails taste like a delicious mixture of gravel, sand, and common dirt. all of my statements about mermaids and dwarves do not apply to their cross-bred relatives, the “mermaid dwarves”

also, mermaid dwarves are totally not the result of a mad wizard trying to create a land equivalent to mermaids, so they can lure humans into the depths of a mine and kill them

Srry but deck-building is kinda hard when all you have are cards that make no sense or have no discernable strategy behind them upon examining them…

i don’t know what a full firewall deck is- prolly helios genesis, firewall, and other damage reflecting cards

yeah- my deck can, with slight modifications, do that kinda damage against a ally-heavy boss by 4th turn. I don’t, my deck’s not designed for fighting bosses and most bosses don’t need the modification to have a 100% win rate. however, also applying to your example, i also have an unreliable deck that can, about one time in five, do 100+ damage with immolate to help me survive/win LvL. FS tend to be able to do heavy damage, but almost always only when they don’t want it.
