Topic: Game Programming / How to use XML.load() for Kongregate

Hey why don’t you try making a game that doesn’t need XML to work properly. XML is useful for larger Web site projects, but not exactly necessary for a game. Don’t fault Kong because you can’t write a freakin’ HTML tag… it’s not rocket science bro.

Topic: Kongregate / No Offense, but this is not a good idea.

Well, I hate to burst your bubble, destiny, but sites like NG did not get popular overnight either. If you read the NG history page you will see for yourself that NG itself came into existence after years of hard work by Tom Fulp, the originator of the site. Maybe you are overlooking this crucial fact, since Kongregate had only been around for a matter of months.

I find that it’s easy to dominate the game by simply building a lot of catapaults. try it, you’ll have no gold but the enemy will pay.

I agree with dxOne, in that a ‘blam button’ would open up too much potential for abuse, from people who are frivolous or malicious with their voting, especially… like, what if people blammed a really good game?

No, I agree that the best way to tell is how many views and votes it has, so if it doesn’t get x views or votes by x weeks, then blam it ;)
