more robots and more parts! This game is a blast.
Also can you explain why you would want to build a new robot better? It feels like a waste of time.

Topic: Kongregate / Why are our mods failing?

I never once said that Mods have to mod all the time, this was more of a we need to take a look at what is going on and make changes. I am also NOT saying that mods should be mods at all times and have had a few say “hey im such and such, i will have so and so come.” damijin I understand your point completely, what I am asking for is IF a mod chooses to help then he should do what he said he would do. blood18 you are right i didn’t title this very well and most mods are doing a good job arcaneCoder it is the community failing I send on average 4 to 5 reports a week and that may be a small number over the masses but im at least trying, if everyone did at least a little then things would be different. knightofRa I know it has to be hard and that pointed a huge target on your back.

good point did i say that you are a bad mod if you dont come to the immediate rescue? no, but thank you for reading whatever you did to make you say that? and last time I talked to Mr. Spontaneous participation in the modcall feature was a voluntarily basis, so they are saying we will come and help.
MrSpontaneous i completely understand the some have bitten off more than they can chew, its a huge leap in ability to get help as needed. i also agree with trying to scale back as needed to not spread so thin. and in doing so you will be a more effective mod and thats awesome thats what needs to happen.
“You had a bad experience, yes, but I don’t think that it is fair (or correct) to call these mods “failed”.” i didnt have a bad experiance with mod call what was the problem when the mod flipped and instead of trying to control the situation he just threw his hands up and fueled the trolls chaos-lust. mod call is great adn ima huge fan as you well know and its still far from perfect but its great non the less. hokage and when did you miss the mod DID come and failed BY GIVING UP, im not acting like IF i ask a mod to come they have 2.5 seconds to do so or they are a bad mod.

look at my fans i am generally liked by the mods that are in a51 and a few in IKRC.
damijin back when this site was smaller and there were way less people it was far better, why? lack of people, no. the number of people to rooms and people to mods was a lot better. now that this site is huge we need to start thinking of better ways to have some sort of order, thats what comes with being the first at something. it is time to try newer better ways and to grow as kong has. the longer we stay stagnate the worse the problems with be.

Topic: Kongregate / Why are our mods failing?

How is it that this site is self governing yet the people appointed are not able/willing to help? I know the simple rules that a mod has to live by (i.e. – having to see the offense) but I just watched one person, ONE SINGLE PERSON, run off two mods, TWO, not one, TWO. One of the mods (I won’t name any names) was responding to a mod call I requested because of some racist comments, but, since the mass exodus of the weak mods, that same mod now “will be removing his name from the modcall list”. This comment was made after the very effective “before I really do ban half the room”. I know that every room has its own dynamic and that is great! I personally have had a great experience with Kongregate, and have made some very great friendships. This is getting out of han d and I know that things have been tried (Greg trying a “nominate here” post in the forums) but Kong has gotten bigger than just having a “M” in the room stop all the trolls and spammers. Please if you are a Mod and you can’t handle the responsibilities, say so! You are not forced into being one, nor is there any shame in not wanting to baby-sit. Now, IF you CHOOSE to be a mod then take on ALL of the responsibilities (Yes, this means making mod calls!) and spending, at times, a good portion of your time dealing with the lower half of the spectrum. Lastly, I am in NO WAY saying, “MAKE ME A MOD PLZ PLZ PLZ!!!!” That is NOT how you get to be a Mod. If I ever get to be a Mod then it will be by the same rules that every other Mod lives by. Nor am I saying that a Mo d’s job is easy, trust me I have a nice number of Mods in my friends (and fans) list, I know it sucks, some of my friends are just alts for the Mods so they can do what they came to this site to do in the first place, play great games and have fun chatting with great people. Bad mods are, from what I have seen, the minority but when they are bad and the only ones we have online at the time then we are left resorting to going to other sites whose Mods do make a difference, and I hate traveling to other sites.
