Can’t believe I missed that part in my post..

It will be about an explorer, most likely in an Egyptian temple or something. The puzzle would be to solve little puzzles in there to unlock new passages etc. For example, there could be a door that only opens when you have collected 3 special stones, and put them in the wall in the right order. Stuff like that.

Instead of one EventListener, that listens to MouseEvent.CLICK, make two: one for MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN and one for MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP. In MOUSE_DOWN function, set mouseDown to true, in the other set it to false. Or, you could start a timer from that MOUSE_DOWN function, and stop it in the MOUSE_UP function. Plenty of solutions :)

Hello everyone,

as the title says, I’m looking to make an experimental game, and would like someone to help out with the graphics. It will be a platform/puzzle game, probably with pixelated graphics. One of the reasons why it’s experimental is that I’m making it quite small (think 200×200 pixels, perhaps even smaller). I already have a well working Platform Engine, that I wrote myself, which I will use for this.

I consider myself a good programmer, but have not finished any projects thusfar. I’m making this game to get experience and above all, because I want to make it. Money is not my incentive. I will split any profit 50/50. Keep in mind though, that because of the experimental nature of the project, I cannot guarantee this will even make money, that’s the risk.

If you’re still interested, and think you are the right person for the job, please demonstrate by showing some of your old work, or drawing a small pixelated main character. If you do not want this to appear in public, e-mail me at markpeerdeman@live.nl

Improved some times in the meantime, 35,3 for 9 now, 3,8 for 12.

And a new record for lvl 10: 63,6! :D

Beat that new record with 1,1!!! 64,7!

Argh, Merryl and Darkruler got me hooked. I am now on my way to getting some good times :) Together with someone else I beat the time on level 7 by 0,7: 27,2.

Hello everyone,

this is my first post on these forums, sorry if I do anything wrong. I think this is the forum that best fits my question, but I’m not sure. Here goes:

I’m working on a Flash game together with a friend from Kongregate. I do most of the programming, making stuff work, etc. while he takes care of graphics, game ideas, level design. It’s only just started, and I’ve run into some small problems.
I’m currently working on the demo. The very basics, making sure things work. My friend’s already started to draw some of the objects will be using. How would I put those into my .fla file (or project/game) without losing (too much) quality? He tried to send me a .ai file, which he said he could open in Flash, yet I couldn’t. We’ve both got Flash CS4. If I’d open this in my .fla, would it still have the original vectors? Hope someone can shed some light on this.

Expert: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 15
Impossible: 1, 2, 3

At this moment I got all but one band-aids, the one in I3, ‘Lost Sector’. I’m not accusing anyone, but how in the world did anyone get this impossible badge ‘legitimately’ before??
