I find the missing x5 option in the Facilities menu a bit of an annoyance, 1 to 10 is too big a jump after the initial round of upgrades or for early games.
Since there are plenty of space at the bottom for the Facilities screen, why not just have a row of buttons for x1, x5, x10, x20, x50 so that we don’t even have to waste clicks on toggling 1 to 30.

1 day 14 hrs into the new game and gained 3 ryos from idling 5 hours. So I think pretty much conclusive the balance is really bad for early game. Going back to my saved game and a few hundred thousands ryos :D

So the scaling when the game was released was really bad and slow. But now you struggle and then you suddenly go from 1M jade ryos to 1B jade ryos in like a hour. The scaling is just way out of control now. It should be slow and steady.. Not resetting every 10 minutes.

The early stage of the game is still the same when it comes to resets for me. Previously, it was a rapid zoom to about map 3, then reset to get 6 ryos to up a stat, rinse and repeat. Now it’s the same, but slower, at least until stats went up to a somewhat decent level to allow me to reset every 3 minus for 6 ryos. To wait until 15 ryos would take way too long and not effective… which of course shouldn’t be the strategy advocated by an idle game.

Think Devs really need to fix this, perhaps by setting the initial Ki target to something way lower like 1000, 2000, 4000 etc instead of 1T.

I’m at 19 hours since reset, 124 ryos after almost 40 resets in the past 3 hours in semi active playing/working at the same time. Going to offline idle and see what happens :D

If the buttons are not highlighted properly when your mouse is over it, try changing your browser zoom. I couldn’t click on any of them (off by like 2 buttons) until I zoomed it down two notches from the usual cos game text too tiny.

I did a hard reset just to check out the early game feel and I have to agree with wth Forhekset that it is excruciatingly slow. It’s been almost exactly 15 hours since, including about 1 hr of initial active play, 1 hr of idling offline, then 3 hours of semi-active play while I was doing other stuff because idling at low level is seriously pointless… about 23M after an hour. Left it at 3-7 then went to bed, woke up and only got a miserable 2xx B from offline. At 1T for the first passive Ryo, it’s going to take a whole day offline to get, or a few hours of semi active play. Really not ideal for an idle game.

But with Forhekset having 600 ryos from the update, he should be doing a lot faster since I’ve got only 27 ryos in total.

I started playing this game about the same time as you, left it alone for a week or so because I got sick of the need to rapid resets yet stuck at zone 5 (getting 15 pts per reset, 20pts took too long) Then started again just a couple of days before this ki update and now at 8 so it’s not as bad as you think it is. Maybe you are doing something wrong? Did you use the active skills or play the mini games for extra money?

1. Total Contribution to stats % is always 0 for all skills
2. Newly bought costumes since the Ki to Jade Ryo update always have the same icon (white shirt black pants) as the first/default costume in the collection page although they display correctly on the portrait when selected.

The biggest disadvantage about the recursion would be the runtime. The code who looks for creations runs once every 30 ms.
If I would make everytime a recursion from top to bottom it would make the creation page more laggy on some pcs as it already is.

How about setting a minimum qty of required ingredients that are auto-created each time? i.e. every time a recursion to the next ingredient is needed, set a counter for say 10x the required amount and don’t change item until the counter is decremented to zero. Say I need 2 soil and 2 water, then the loop should just keep creating soil until 20 soil is created, then 20 water, before going back up to Plant

This should reduce the number of times a full recursion needs to be done.

Really? For me, the game always takes a one-second pause whenever I exit a menu. Weird, maybe this isn’t affecting everyone like I thought it was.

My experience is similar to Slom0, just laggy entering Achievements and Upgrade but no lag exiting.

How old is your machine? Mine is like 5 year old and the game is still pretty responsive except for the 2 menus.

Topic: AdVenture Capitalist: General / Fix for No Interface Bug!

Thanks for the pointer in the right direction. The zoom isn’t necessary 110%, in my case, I have to zoom below 100% several steps before the interface will show up properly. After that, I can zoom back up without problems. However, the interface will go crap on reset and requires rezoom + refresh.

So if 110% doesn’t work for anybody, just zoom down/refresh and repeat a few times until you get it working, or until it gets too small to read :D

In-battle AFK for catacombs is kinda pointless when killing the mobs takes only 1 turn. For protracted battles, it is usually more cost-effective overall to just spend the gold to blitz. The removed AFK mode benefits the players more for the lower levels of the catacombs.

I’d have to disagree that it is pointless. Catacomb runs take up so much time, it makes perfect efficiency sense to run AFK for the lower levels until we get the tougher ones. It allows me to do other stuff like check emails, read up guides etc without having to flip back and fro. And I’m not even reaching very deep into the catacombs, I’d hate to think how much of a long tedious run it would be for those reaching 50+ levels.

It probably is just you really. The reason why the rest of them also freeze is because your computer isn’t able to process anything (either it froze, possibly a software problem) or it isn’t getting any response from the server due to a poor connection. When it recovers and starts processing again, you see everybody else moving.

From their perspective however, it looks like you probably are just standing/spinning around in the same place.

To add on, before anybody start yelling “I’ve got 100Mbps internet, it can’t be slow”…

The xx Mbps of the Internet connection is just the bandwidth and unless something else is chewing up all the available bandwidth (such as Netflix or torrents), it is usually not a concern.

Lag in the case of network games is mostly affected by network latency (or putting it simply: ping time). This is often affected by the network distance to the server, e.g. if the server’s in New Zealand, signal from a computer in New York will have to cross half the world to reach the server and will always lag behind an equivalent computer that’s right in New Zealand itself.

So if you are killing the zeds at the same time as the guy in NZ, the server will always register his kills first, hence you get situations where you think you got 100000 kills but end up with a pathetic number of registered kills.

Usually for mobile games, there are compromises and limits on what is actually done compared to the PC. e.g. the devs might allow 1000 zeds to spawn on the PC version but limit it to 200 on a iPad.
