Wiki is wrong. It says that “Long Sword” (For Blacksmith) gives access to Fire sword, but on the contrary, it’s the next level up “Claymore” that gives Fire Sword.

Topic: Kongregate / Suggestions

I hope someone sees this awesome suggestion.

OK, short story. Me (my comment) and 517 other people (the +’s of the comment) made it possible for the game “10” to acquire achievements and a bright future towards a sequel. No, we didn’t make the game or engineer the achievements, but our support helped make it happen. However, by sheer, dumb, luck, I barely came on within the last few hours to see that there was new achievements and a special Kongregate achievement for that week to earn 20 points! Yet, if I hadn’t of gotten extremely lucky, then I’d of missed that special achievement and I’d of felt bad for not being there to get it.

My suggestion, is if we rate the game (1-5 stars), comment on the game, favorite the game, or follow the game in any way that can currently be tracked on Kongregate, then should receive a message notification or an email notification (if we chose to receive it), notifying us of any changes to the games that we follow. A simple message stating: “10, the game, now has achievements and for a limited time you can receive 20 Kongregate points as a special achievement! You can do so by following this link: kongregate.com/XYZ

Is that really so hard to ask? I just feel bad for those other 517 people that may have missed that lovely special achievement that only lasted one week, and can be obtained in a matter of 10 (hehe) minutes!

P.S. 10 (hehe) hours ago, someone commented on this thread before me! :P

Topic: Technical Support / Badges Not Working

My plug is red, but it still displays the badges as completed, without giving me an actual date of completion, and I don’t remember ever playing the game. This has done this to be for 5 different games and keeps doing it. I know for a fact that I have internet connection because I can download a file right here and now that is 1MB in size in less than 1 second. I reloaded the pages several times to no avail.

Just something to add in the backlogs.

Server Motherboards use 10-core and 12-core CPUs. They also have server motherboards that allow dual-CPUs to be running at the same time.

Just something to think on to help out the 0.001% of the population using SimTyrant with server motherboards, or to respond to future development of PCs before they are released. But, other than that, I absolutely love the multi-core support, as it boosts my speed significantly using Dual-Core! :D

Topic: Tyrant / Evaluate Decks (game simulator)

Hey guys, I’m just visiting as I’m slowly coming back after my 4 month+ break from the game. I am glad to see the immense progress that has come along since I was gone. Plus, I am most certainly glad that the Fansite has finally gotten new API for linking deck submission percentages to Fansite!

I will download and attempt to test the new IterateDecks build (1.0.3) and I’ll be sure to report any bugs (depending on how well I know how to use it).

EDIT: Runs properly for me on Windows XP 32-bit. I ran 100k sims in 13sec (I think that’s faster than before). How do you post these results to Fansite by chance?

I’m confused, who can’t figure out to use this wonderful simulator?

And yes, Darkblood is spot-on to my purpose, with the exception that he did not include that my purpose was also meant for editing the deck – if you copy someone’s deck hash, you cannot currently post this onto fansite in anyway, without manually running the sim, then entering the following cards one-by-one. With this method, you can auto-generate a deck for users of the more simple-minded class, and since this is meant to be an easy-to-use and bit-sized simulator, then this would only improve it’s capabilities. That way you can edit anyone’s decks with ease, without having to manually enter each card in on Fansite using their deck creator.

P.S. The old, rusty EvalDecks GUI simulator still does this by creating the deck, then clicking on the “wireless” symbol, then it’ll automatically open a tab in your main browser and show the deck using Fansite’s deck creator.

Suggestion:

Make it so that when you click to generate links, one of those links will link your deck hash and the other will link the enemy deck hash to fansite – if a mission, then link to the mission.

For example, if your tile’s slot 1 is Mission 228, then the opponent’s commander is Typhon Eclipse. When you mouse over the commander in Fansite, it shows “Card: 1209”.
http://tyrant.40in.net/kg/mission.php?id=316

In this case, the commander is Typhon Eclipse[1209].

Thanks. But there’s currently no easy way of doing this such as copying the deck hash, pasting it, then subbing in the commander using 1209 or 1210. So, I have to sub in every single card individually.

Topic: Tyrant / Evaluate Decks (game simulator)

Hi guys, I’m back after not being on this page for a long while and I’m sort of in the process of quitting Tyrant, but I was making a document to give credit to makers and contributors of the original EvalDecks – which is now IterateDecks – before I got slammed with responsibilities for a billion different other things (amazing, how I have no job, but 10hrs of my day I am working on crap). So, would I post this somewhere on the github or something for anybody that wishes to finish the credit work that I’ve done? I believe I was somewhere on page 15 or so on this forum thread before I stopped and ran into a bunch of other responsibilities.

It’s only 1 page long and has 10 names on it, so it’s not much, but it’s something I guess. I just didn’t want it to go to complete waste and figured that someone else could finish it. So, lemme know the proper place to post this document (I can post it on my personal Google Docs and give the volunteer permission to download it), for if someone wants to finish where I left off.

Could you add the ability to run sims using the commanders of AI tile slots? It’s impossible to get an accurate simulation without those commandeers – especially, when they have Weaken 2, Protect All 2, and Counter 2 with 22 life.

Sorry, that does not work. I selected Google Chrome, it required a restart, so I did. I brought it back up, added a 0 to the 100 sims and ran the simulator – the exact same thing happens. I think all that option does is disable the default downloader for that browser – switching it from DAP back to the Google Chrome default installed downloader.

I think that what really screws up the simulator is integrated with Google Chrome upon installation of DAP 10.3. So, obviously, it changes the Javascript somehow, but I have no idea how, because all it does is download files.

I found the problem. It’s Speedbit Download Accelerator Plus 10.3. http://www.speedbit.com/dap/

It automatically disabled the use of the sim over 100 sims being ran.

As I said before, I cannot uninstall it as I download things 24/7 – updates, movies, tv shows, etc. This takes a 60kb/s download and turns it into a 660kb/s download – no exaggeration. A LOT of people use it, and it’s 100% free, so either keep updating the offline version or get in for a long ride in order to find out why DAP 10.3 is causing SimTyrantJS to stop working on the live version.

Hi Moraku! Thanks for the lovely updates, as usual, I am reminding you to update the offline version. Thanks :)

In other news, similar to this, you remember the problem that people (such as me) are having with running the online version more than 100 sims? Well, I can definitely confirm that it is a third-party addon / extension for the browser. I just wiped my grandma’s hdd and I’m running Google Chrome with 0 extensions and it took 0.959 seconds to run 1000 sims of Cyrus vs. Cyrus – with no problems, using the live online version.

I am slowly adding each of my extensions and I will soon find the culprit! But, even if I find the culprit, I’m 100% sure that I cannot live without those third-party addons, so if you want to the fix the problem, telling us to remove it will not be an option. Sorry.

I’ll check back when I find the culprit!

Lol small number of people? I think approx. 20-30 people run the entirety of Fansite’s best suggested decks. The number may be small, but that small number does a LOT of work – yourself included.

Anyways, I just had an idea that I am not sure is even applicable. Basically, I keep linking and clicking links for SimTyrant sims that I run to show proof of correct simulation testing for that suggested deck, but I have no way of transferring this link into my offline version so that I could run at the same number of simulations that the user ran (rather than 100 sims which shows me practically nothing).

My idea is to provide a means of copying said link and pasting it into the offline version of SimTyrant – that way us special people with the unique bug will be able to confirm those results or possibly improve the results (yes, you could always just copy the deck hash and re-implement all of the settings, but it wouldn’t be as convenient). Either that or you could create an automatic redirect to an offline version of the SimTyrant in the same browser – if that’s possible.

I also don’t know how the importantce of card in NETRAT’s simulator is calculated. However, I have an idea (although this idea cannot be practically implemented in Moraku’s SimTyrant…)

For example:
I simulate a 10-cards deck 1,000,000 times, after the simulator runs 1 million simulations,

  • It deletes the first card and then run (say, 2% of 1m) 20000 simulations
  • (Without deleting the first card) It deletes the second card and then run 20000 simulations
  • Repeat the above process.
    In this way, it runs a total of 1 million + 1 million x 2% x 10 = 1 million x (1+20%) = 1.2 million times.

The importance of each card can be “10-card deck winrate” minus “9-card deck winrate”.

However, this cannot be useful in SimTyrant as we usually can only run 1K to 10K simulations… This method is too stupid and too slow here…

1k of something is better than 1mil of nothing. Sounds like a reasonable attempted start of finding the importance of cards. Worth trying Moraku?

I suppose, but would all of the units pay them back via Weaken All 1 each? Or would one card only be able to?

Um, I think this is a bug report, but I’m really not sure what to make of it… It doesn’t make any logical sense.

OK, so, even after 5 months of playing I still do not have the Enemy Misfire achievement (http://tyrant.40in.net/kg/ach.php?id=207), so, I was running to see a deck that someone suggested a possible improvement for.

The suggestion was to replace Patrol Cruiser with Abominable Raksha, due to having zero raiders in the designated mission to earn that achievement for (Mission 128). The results were baffling, to say the least.

You get 65.4% chance on Auto using Patrol Cruiser – http://haileon.com/SimTyrantJS?deck1=P8C+Do+nFgHY&mission=180&achievement=119&sims=2500.

You get 55.7% chance using Abominable Raksha – http://haileon.com/SimTyrantJS?deck1=P8C+Do+nFgIZ&mission=180&achievement=119&sims=2500.

Both decks remain 100% the exact same, with the exception of simply swapping out a single card.

I ran every type of available debug mode for Abominable Raksha -

http://haileon.com/SimTyrantJS?deck1=P8C+Do+nFgIZ&mission=180&achievement=119&sims=2500&debug=1&mass_debug=1&loss_debug=1

http://haileon.com/SimTyrantJS?deck1=P8C+Do+nFgIZ&mission=180&achievement=119&sims=2500&mass_debug=1&loss_debug=1

I just don’t know what to make of this as it completely defies logic in every way possible.

Hi, Moraku! So, I have a suggestion and I have no idea about coding and stuff, but maybe you could do it yourself, maybe it’d be easy – I don’t know.

Anyways, basically, the idea is to create a similar format as the GUI version of EvalDecks had that showed negative ratings for placement of a card order and/or whether a select card had a negative impact on that deck for that specific mission and/or achievement designation.

Basically, you could add another clickable tab to have the simulator specifically analyze the negative and positive values of the cards presented in your deck for that designated assignment. It’ll use the exact same format layout selection for number of sims, mission, etc., but it won’t run for win chance – it’ll just scan for negative and positive values. Which means it’ll be separate from the running of sims.

I just severely miss the negative rating thing from Netrat’s GUI of ED – without it, making a deck is ten times harder, because I have to constantly delve into that mission / achievement to understand how it works – once I understand how it works (usually takes about 10min – 2hrs to figure that out), then I can create a successful deck, but having an analyzer (and if needed, this could be a completely separate tool from the Simulator) would make it sooooooooooo much easier.

Don’t forget to release an Offline version when a stable version is released! Thanks!

Adding onto that problem of running more than 2.5k sims efficiently – Dracorex for Quest Step 24 takes anywhere from 60-80 seconds to run at 2.5k sims. I will sit there and watch as a rate barely faster than 1% per second moves on through. I understand that this is due to massive summoning picked from a variety of over 1000 cards in-game, but this is still insane.

How many ~60% decks have you played and not seen 11 losses in a row? Keep playing the game and eventually you will see losing streaks of all lengths.

I’ve been playing the game for 5months straight and I’ve seen 30% chance decks win 7 times in a row.

In other news, I’m not sure if this is a bug on your part or Tyrant’s part (again).

OK, so, 112 days ago I made a deck variation to provide more guaranteed cards to the unlucky people, so that they could be able to complete “Return to Imperials” achievement on Mission 162. The deck originally had a 67.7% chance, ordered, to win and complete the achievement. However, since then a lot of the cards contained in that mission have been buffed by the devs. So, I decided to run it again through your simulator, and your simulator shows that it has a 58.1% win chance @ 2.5k sims (http://haileon.com/SimTyrantJS?deck1=RjBWff+iAFBWAF+iBWAF+i&ordered=1&mission=234&achievement=140&sims=2500), but I believe this to be false.

When I completed it on Kong 112 days ago, it took me 2 tries. About a month or so ago I made an account on Tyrant on Facebook, so, I used this exact deck in the right order 11 times – once I even scored it in the EXACT order – ALL 11 times failed, miserably.

It would seem that the buff to the cards has severely diminished the use of Barrage Tanks and Orbital Cannons for that mission, but what I cannot figure out is why your simulator still shows this deck as having a 58.1% chance to obtain the achievement and a 58.1% chance to beat the mission; especially, when in reality, I never ONCE beat Mission 162 using those exact cards – not only did I not get the achievement, but I did NOT even complete the mission, not once. How can a simulator show 58.1% win chance and I can lose to that mission 11 times in a row!?

Thanks for the answer Moraku, but imo, you should add that answer to the first post to explain to other user’s how it works and why that occurs. I’m not saying that everyone is stupid, but I am saying that a lot of us are used to habits such as overwriting the files, rather than deleting the old files and then unzipping the new files.
