Topic: Tyrant Unleashed: General / [To Devs/Players] Resetting Guild Points, really!?

So, today I logged in and to the shock of my entire guild, our guild points were completely reset down to 0. I realize that the new event starts tomorrow, but we really didn’t expect to lose all of our guild points, when the past 1-2 events never caused this.

Was this on purpose or is this some kind of massive bug!?

Is anybody else experiencing this? We lost 4.6k Guild Points that we had saved up.

OK. I checked my Inventory, but I still only got 2 Xillafangs, 1 Epic, and no Rares. Why did I even get 4 Commons from a Common Pack in the first place!? Last I checked, I’m only supposed to get Rares from the Rare Pack and Epics from the Epic Packs.

My rewards should’ve been 2 Xillafangs, a Silver Pack, and a Gold Pack. Why in the world would all I get would be a Common Pack!?

Is anybody else experiencing this? Because I’m really pissed right now.

I refreshed the page, closed the browser, wiped the cache, and still nothing.

So, I’m sure that someone, somewhere already wrote a topic about this, but I’m going to write a short topic of it on my own.

So, for the past 3 weeks straight, I haven’t been able to use my “Reinforce” ability with ANY commanders, because of the fact that every time I acquire new Rares, they’re stolen from me by lower level noobs that I can clearly retake it back, but… they’re shielded from me. They’re not just shielded for 12 hours, either, because they keep getting re-shielded from me.

So, my proposal, is to allow a single individual to enact Revenge on these people stealing their rares. They should be given at least 1 shot and the shields, for this temporary time, will not save the person.

And, let’s be honest, this can’t be that difficult to write into the code, as all you’d have to do is make the exception when people click the button “Revenge”. You’d also implement a counter, so that it can only be done once, and not multiple times.

Anybody who agrees with this, +1 please. Thanks!

Seems sketchy. Did the Edgebee wiki account get hacked? Lol, don’t worry, I’m not expecting an answer for that one, since Edgebee is seemingly silent with anything pertaining to them.

Worst case scenario, Edgebee closes down the wikis for S&P and S&P2 to save money (server space, electricity costs, etc.), and we have to make an unofficial wiki for them. If that ever happens, lemme know Lamatiel, and I’ll be willing to play my part in the unofficial capacity of that.

I think it would be reasonable for CloudCade to check the security of their servers to ensure that no one has hacked/cracked them for information. Because I was there when this Yyll person was in chat, as well, but I thought he was just making up information for attention, because people do that stuff all of the time.

There are no devs that would respond to this, as of right now.

You can be kicked from a city prior to logging out, but the cache won’t refresh until after the page is refreshed; thus, when you log back in, it shows the new city. The mayor not responding is typically a clue of your being kicked.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / How does the +/- additional waves get affected by the Multiplier selection?

Hi, so that title doesn’t make enough sense as to the question that I’m referring to. Basically, what seems like an easy/common sense decision, becomes a completely game-changing confused choice.

When I go back to older levels on GCL, I select certain parameters that I think I can handle. For example:

I go to D13

  • I select Double Monsters
  • I select 50% Hit Points
  • Armored Only
  • +10 Waves
  • Higher monster armor
  • Faster speed

I reached all the way to Wave 18, but could not beat it, under any circumstance of strategy. So, the most logical thing to do would be to decrease the number of waves by 5, which should mean that I can beat it with ease, using the same strategies? Dead wrong.

Apparently, something unknown happens with the background configuration of selecting more or less waves that are sent out. Apparently, it’s not pre-configured and changes based on the number of waves that a level has.

Here’s how the new configuration looks:

  • I select Double Monsters
  • I select 50% Hit Points
  • Armored Only
  • +5 Waves
  • Higher monster armor
  • Faster speed

When selecting to only have an additional +5 Waves sent out for D13, while leaving everything else the same, including the same strategy that allowed me to reach Wave 18 in the first place, it becomes more difficult. I cannot beat Wave 11, now that I have subtracted 5 Waves from the total wave-count.

My question is referring to this change. How does it change? What exactly changes? Is it random or is it pre-configured based on the number of wave selections made? Is there anyway to counter this extremely odd change?

Edit: When beating it with every setting the same, same strategy, etc., but only using Normal wave amount, then it’s beatable.

Topic: Kongregate / Suggestions

I think we should have the ability to add a setting for a set amount of time to auto-delete the “Game Messages,” in our inbox. Also, we should have the option to manually delete the “Game Messages,” one-by-one.

Examples for a set amount of time would be 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days as the final option.

This will help maintain server space for Kongregate and it’ll help clean up the pages for those perfectionists, like me!

Topic: Kongregate / Suggestions

So, we have a Favorite Games and the ability to “Fan” a user, but why not make the ability to “Favorite” a user?

Favoriting a user would dictate that you wish to follow that user very closely – their feeds, postings of comments, postings of new games, etc. This idea is originally intended towards being able to follow releases of new games for that specific user. It would make it easier if a sequel to our favorite game came out, but the author of it forgot to release a message to those who favorited the game. On top of this, they don’t necessarily post about similar related games. For example, I have favorited Bubble Tanks, but I’ve never heard (in the past 3 years on here) of Bubble Tanks Tower Defense, only to realize that there’s already a number 2 out!

So, yeah, being able to follow closely a specific user for specific reasons would be nice.

Topic: Kongregate / Kong Kred Ad Exploitation

I don’t really know where to post this, so, here goes nothin’.

I went on to my usual game (Swords and Potions 2) and an advertisement popped up claiming that I’ll be paid 1 Kred for watching a simple video. Turns out it was an entertaining Dodge Charger video involving old people. So, out of curiosity, I closed it after getting paid and clicked the video, again. Sure enough, it paid me another Kred 2 minutes later.

I’m not sure how many times I can click this same video, but earning 1 Kred every 1 minute 18 seconds, while remaining on the same page, with the same advertisement sounds like quite the exploitation to me.

I hope it’s capped at 3 views, but I’m not into exploitation, so I didn’t try. Also, most advertisements only pay per unique visitor/viewer, so me clicking it multiple times means that Kongregate is losing money.

To be perfectly clear about the intentions of this post: I am not attempting to spread this among people as a means of deliberate exploitation, I’m trying to report this to Kongregate, but was unsure of where to post it.

I hope someone sees this awesome suggestion.

OK, short story. Me (my comment) and 517 other people (the +’s of the comment) made it possible for the game “10” to acquire achievements and a bright future towards a sequel. No, we didn’t make the game or engineer the achievements, but our support helped make it happen. However, by sheer, dumb, luck, I barely came on within the last few hours to see that there was new achievements and a special Kongregate achievement for that week to earn 20 points! Yet, if I hadn’t of gotten extremely lucky, then I’d of missed that special achievement and I’d of felt bad for not being there to get it.

My suggestion, is if we rate the game (1-5 stars), comment on the game, favorite the game, or follow the game in any way that can currently be tracked on Kongregate, then should receive a message notification or an email notification (if we chose to receive it), notifying us of any changes to the games that we follow. A simple message stating: “10, the game, now has achievements and for a limited time you can receive 20 Kongregate points as a special achievement! You can do so by following this link: kongregate.com/XYZ

Is that really so hard to ask? I just feel bad for those other 517 people that may have missed that lovely special achievement that only lasted one week, and can be obtained in a matter of 10 (hehe) minutes!

Topic: Technical Support / Badges Not Working

My plug is red, but it still displays the badges as completed, without giving me an actual date of completion, and I don’t remember ever playing the game. This has done this to be for 5 different games and keeps doing it. I know for a fact that I have internet connection because I can download a file right here and now that is 1MB in size in less than 1 second. I reloaded the pages several times to no avail.

Just something to add in the backlogs.

Server Motherboards use 10-core and 12-core CPUs. They also have server motherboards that allow dual-CPUs to be running at the same time.

Just something to think on to help out the 0.001% of the population using SimTyrant with server motherboards, or to respond to future development of PCs before they are released. But, other than that, I absolutely love the multi-core support, as it boosts my speed significantly using Dual-Core! :D

Hey guys, I’m just visiting as I’m slowly coming back after my 4 month+ break from the game. I am glad to see the immense progress that has come along since I was gone. Plus, I am most certainly glad that the Fansite has finally gotten new API for linking deck submission percentages to Fansite!

I will download and attempt to test the new IterateDecks build (1.0.3) and I’ll be sure to report any bugs (depending on how well I know how to use it).

EDIT: Runs properly for me on Windows XP 32-bit. I ran 100k sims in 13sec (I think that’s faster than before). How do you post these results to Fansite by chance?

And yes, Darkblood is spot-on to my purpose, with the exception that he did not include that my purpose was also meant for editing the deck – if you copy someone’s deck hash, you cannot currently post this onto fansite in anyway, without manually running the sim, then entering the following cards one-by-one. With this method, you can auto-generate a deck for users of the more simple-minded class, and since this is meant to be an easy-to-use and bit-sized simulator, then this would only improve it’s capabilities. That way you can edit anyone’s decks with ease, without having to manually enter each card in on Fansite using their deck creator.

P.S. The old, rusty EvalDecks GUI simulator still does this by creating the deck, then clicking on the “wireless” symbol, then it’ll automatically open a tab in your main browser and show the deck using Fansite’s deck creator.

Thanks. But there’s currently no easy way of doing this such as copying the deck hash, pasting it, then subbing in the commander using 1209 or 1210. So, I have to sub in every single card individually.
