Kongregate is a social gaming website; therefore, you should inherently expect the ability to remove yourself from the social aspect of the site to be limited.

And I do socialize when I play games. I join the chat rooms and I’ll talk about the game, achievements, etc., but I will not participate in fan/following on Kongregate until I know that I have control over my connections.

1) Probably not. 2) Just mute them if you don’t want to chat with them.

Once again, my point has been missed. I don’t want to associate with them. It isn’t a matter of chatting with them on this website; it’s a matter of things outside the website.

@SilverChannel I would like to be able to edit these forum posts as well. I’m scanning my messages a dozen times to make sure I’m not misspelling anything.

From a programmer’s perspective, I don’t see why this is so hard. Take the code used to add or remove yourself as someone’s fan and switch the parameters: you.removeFandom(PatPeter) to patpeter.removeFandom(you).

Doesn’t matter. A person added you likely because they liked you. How would you like it if you liked someone, and they rejected you? It’s the exact same thing.

Your argument is a non sequitur. You claim that the relationship I have with my fans doesn’t matter, and then you go on to back up your claim by saying that I should not be allowed to remove a fan who likes me.

By your logic, stalking should be legal and restraining orders should be removed from the legal system because if someone likes you, you don’t have a right to reject them. Rejection is a part of life.

So once again, 1) it’s a simple modification of the code, and 2) I have a right to choose who is connected to me.

So our profiles have been updated, our followers have been renamed to fans, and we still don’t have the option of removing them ourselves? What’s up with that?

Allow us to REMOVE our FANS.

When we MUTE/BLOCK a user, it should automatically stop that user from FOLLOWING us.

Yes, it’s the same thing.

And my problem is not conduct on Kongregate, but elsewhere.

Please give us an option to REMOVE our FOLLOWERS. Just like on Twitter, we should have the autonomy to choose who follows us and who does not.

I see how to mute them, but how do I block users?

Yes, but what if you’ve had a scuffle with some of the people following you? There’s no good reason we should not be able to block other members. Is there any way to make official suggestions?

I do not want any followers on Kongregate; I simply want to play flash games. I do the same thing on Xfire. I know on Twitter you can block people following you, I just want to remove the people following me. How can I do this?
