Also, don’t forget there used to be a bug where loading save data (including by refreshing your browser) would give you an extra days worth of progress (back when 300 of everything was considered awesome). If used a lot, these people can have gotten a lot of progress without really ‘cheating’. You can’t really call it cheating because sometimes, you just HAVE to close your browser, so where would one draw the limit?

That doesn’t work anymore. It will only work once at most, and only after an update. Then again, there is no logical instance where anyone will repeatedly load his/her saved progress. I started playing ever since Adventure Capitalist first came out and I’ve never lost my progress so I’ve never had to do it. Anyone who keeps doing it or has done it more than once is already exploiting the bug.

This is very true, I was deliberately exploiting a massive bug to push my money upwards. If you closed and then reopened your browser, you’re right, you did indeed get about an extra day of progress. But if you just refreshed your browser and then set your computer clock ahead, you could gain as much extra progress as you liked. By repeatedly setting my clock ahead to 2099 and then alternately setting it back to 1980, I was able to gain 119 years of extra progress at a time. xD

So so true. Before I decided to have some fun and start completely over with a hard reset, I had 109 Quattuordecillion AIs from the day the game first went up. :) But since my reset, I’m currently only back up to 123 Billion. xD

I expect the current list of numbers to be sufficient for a while, but is there anyone far enough to need more than what’s there?

I reached 100 tretrigintillion in-game, but I was doing a massive amount of cheating to get even that far. Btw, to put it another way that’s 10,000 Googol! :P

A Google is a company. A google is a search using that company’s service. A googol is 1E100.

I’d be interested in hearing how you got a googol angel investors.

Im curious too. A googol of angels is completely and utterly impossible without using some kind of hack. And you can say that you aren’t using a hack but we all know you are. The highest angel amount I’ve seen is on a couple sexdecillion and that is from playing since day one.

Indeed, reaching 1 Googol of Angel Investors without hacking the game is utterly physically impossible.

I quite openly admit, I’ve been hacking this game for fun and profit as much as I can, and I currently have 109.367 Quattuordecillion Angel Investors, which is so much less than a Googol that it’s not even funny. And that’s been by messing around with my computer’s system clock to add literally thousands upon thousands of years to my gamplay! xD

This is why I’ve just sent an email to the devs telling them about the hack I’ve been using, and am now performing a hard reset to shed my ~10^47 ill-gotten AIs. :P

Topic: AdVenture Capitalist / Scientific Notation?

Yes, I’d vote for this. :)

I was already at 100 tretrigintillion when I stopped and thought “hang on a minute, that’s 10,000 Googol!” to myself, which I think sounds/looks cooler than a string of latin numbering.

Personally, I think it would be great for those who would prefer it to be able to toggle between three modes:
1) Short scale. 10^100 = 10 duotrigintillion
2) Long scale. 10^100 = 10,000 sexdecillion
3) Scientific notation. 10^100 = 1.000E+100

The last one will be the most flexible of the three methods if the numbers continue to rise exponentially for any length of time, but for Phase 1 only all three methods are good, it’s just a matter of personal taste. :)

2.8 decillion? Did you see my post just above yours, Killer? :)

(Like I said, in the quattuordecillions – a dozen factors of 10 greater)

Yes, I am using my computer’s clock to move the game along ’cos I get bored easily. ;D

Topic: Platform Racing 2 / Best PR2 stats?

I use stats that more hardcore players would probably think are absolutely horrible, but that’s just me. My simple method is thus:

Speed: 100
Acceleration: 30
Jump: 20 + rank

This is beyond rubbish at low ranks (read: anything below about rank 25) as you have difficulty clearing even small obstacles, but works reasonably well as your rank increases further. My rank is currently 42, so that makes my Jump stat 62, which is reasonable (and just about allows me to clear a 5 block jump if I hit a Happy block first). :)

Yeah, it’s gotta be by IP addres…sometimes I’m racing other people, and I only get awarded half points if I beat them, they must be with the same ISP, or in the same block of IP addresses or something as I am…

Hi all, this is my first post ever on Kongregate… .;

I’m trying to find a game that – well, I’m pretty sure it was here on Kong that I played it. It’s one of those classic “eat stuff smaller than you to grow” games, where you start at about level 8 size and each level is a new and different weird item to eat – some are like small/medium/large germs, while there’s also stranger things like a block of text, a house, and the level 100 item was a large cake, which you eat to win the game.

As I say, I’m pretty sure I played it here, but I can’t for the life of me remember the name of it now. It was longer and more fun than most other eat/grow games I’ve played, and with just the right level of difficulty for me. :)

I’ve just found the game I was looking for, it’s called Tidepool but it’s on Newgrounds. Guess I was wrong. xD

Topic: Kongregate / Looking for eat and grow game

Thanks for the suggestion Rehab_RejectZ, but that’s definitely not it, I play Tasty Planet a lot. :D

No, this game played more like the tidepool level from Spore, with you starting off as a small level 8 creature, eating random things that were levels below you, and avoiding the much larger stuff from higher levels, then you’d grow in size and those larger items would shrink, while even larger ones would suddenly appear out of the background swirl of colours. Your little creature would keep advancing up the levels for ages in this manner until it reached level 100, whereupon you could eat a cake saying “This is not a lie” (I think), and then the game would end.

EDIT: I just found the game, it’s called Tidepool! But I was wrong, it’s not on Kong it’s on Newgrounds. xD

Thanks for the point to the right thread Ceasar. :)

1000 badges might be easy Discomonkey, but as I’m only at 108 after just more than 2 years, even 1000 will take me a while. :)

I’ve also decided to try to earn every badge on Kongregate. Frankly though, if I get to 4 digits I’ll consider that a miracle! :-P
