alliance vs alliance idea
A game I played, Battle Conquest, did the same. The top guild (alliance) used its affiliate guilds to dominate the entire Good side of the field (it was good vs evil on the macro level, the guilds on the territory level).
In this way, they were able to get around the member/territory limits. I assume mh would use a similar strategy, making the alliance vs alliance thing not really fun. Just more of a resource gathering thing.
And with the pull that the top alliance has, most new members will join the affiliate alliances rather than go into the more individual alliances. Killing competition.
That’s my experience with this anyway.
