Phorton there are 2 things you forgot.

The Dev´s thought that more Players play this game. The Clusters are filled with 15% of the Players they should be. Just 50% more Players and the recources would be split already. A normal rate of 66% Players staying ingame from start and the recources would be split into 33%. Of course, very active and smart Players would get more of Engis, and some other reasons can change the input here, too. But i think its just the lack of active Players.

The second point is: You, me and the other Top 20 Players can have endless Engi´s because theres nobody who will attack us.
Engis costs a lot recources and got no defense abilities.
The problem here is that big Players benefits more of them than other Players just because they got no real Enemies.

I would say to balance the Engi´s out we need a malus from them. Im thinking about a formula decreasing culture input as more Engi´s you use. So lets say when you got 1k Culture / day you can have 100 Engi´s. If you use 200 Engi´s you gain -100 Culture / day.
When you got 5k culture / day you can have 500 Engi´s. 1000 Engi´s and you get -1000 Culture. 2000 Engi´s and you get -4000 Culture and so on and so on.

As first it should be very fair when new Players get a better start to head up with the existing Players. Here i would increase the Task Rewards for example every week? This would help older Players who got ambushed, too.

The biggest problem atm is that new Players join the game and watch the rankings. They get the feeling that they already lost. Of course, this is not true!
But how to show them the truth? Maybe somebody got an idea about this point and can post it here.

About Player versus Player: Defending is really easy in this game. As long as you do it right. Here should be a better starting tutorial about the how to defend right.
OR increase the Task rewards for platforms x2? But this could go the wrong way. Not sure about it.

Next point on my list is: Make the game more attracting. There´s a lot downtime in here. When fleets are sent theres nearly nothing to do.
A bit talking in Chat and thats all.
How about a “Ranking” thats always up to date and shows the Best “fights” of the Day / Week / Month? Everybody can have a look into it. Dreaming about beeing Top 1 there someday and talking about those fights.

3 planets now. 1800 culture gain / day. Could cap a 4th planet now. Grow up before you cry about something.

That sounds like you are 8 years old and think that alcohol should be sold to kids under 6 years. And getting a driving license with 4 years

Topic: EMP Game / Basic Help

First steps on how to start a great Empire:

1. Click on your Avatar and check the Tasks. Build what you need to finish a Task. In the first Days you nearly live from Task rewards only.

2. As soon as you built a Lab you can go into your Research Center and research your first technology.
For a good start you should research Space Engineering and Engineers first. Then Space Navigation for a higher Range in Space.

3. You got 8 Fighters at start. Find Ancient Level 0 Asteroids and attack them with your fighters. The fighters will raid the recources on it and wont be attacked. On Level 0 are no Enemies. Dont forget to clear an Asteroid out to 0 0 0 recources or it wont respawn.

4. As soon as you got Engi researches done build a shipyard and build some Engineers. With them you can farm Planets in your own System and systems around you without beeing attacked.

5. When you are out of Pilots, upgrade your Academy. When you are out of Population, upgrade your Planetary Colony.

6. When you feel rdy you can attack the first lvl 1 Ancient Asteroid with your 8 ( or more ) fighters.
As next you have to attack a lvl 2 Ancient asteroid. Do this with a minimum of 15 fighters our you could loose the fight.
To attack and farm lvl 2 Ancients most effective you need a minimum of 80 fighters to get a high chance of no losses!
That doenst mean that attacking them with 30 fighters isnt good. As long as you can make + recources, do it!

7. You got a new Technology from the first Ancient lvl 2. Research it as fast as possible when you want to play as raider. That research takes 3 days or less. When its done you can attack your first lvl 2 Anomaly. The Quest Reward for that attack are 4 Colony Ships. Use them to build a second planet. Remember that enemy Players around you could kill them.

8. When you got enemy Players around and they could attack you – build some defense platforms or they are able to wipe your fleet and steal your recources over and over again.
When you got problems with a basher, try to upgrade your Caches to hide your recources. He cant steal them anymore as long as you dont have more than the caches can hide.

9. Here you choose your gameplay now. When you are playing very often: Go for raiding. Build more and more fighters, try to get frigate technology as fast as possible and attack anomaly´s.

When you dont like to play a couple of hours a day – dont stop playing! you can still have fun. Just upgrade your mines more and build more Engineer´s and defense platforms versus Enemy Players. The Engi´s can make a great amount of recources a day just sending them out every 3 hours.

Good work at all @DEV´s. 80 Cargo size was maybe to much. 60 is a good middle. Fleets of 50 engis can stay. Recource gain is faster at start, and a bit slower when you got 400+ Engis.

When i can i give you 100 Battleships, Toimu. Maybe you are happy then.

Or want 1 Million res each day, too? Maybe building time 10 seconds capped, too?

The game is very well balanced. Atm the growing diagram looks very good.

Maybe the micromanegement will grow up to much. I have the feeling that this game will move to 24/7 Players in some weeks.
I got 15 fleets already. When the Engi update comes i got 23 fleets already. And with every day i get more fighters my amount of fleets growing, too.
With a second Star system it will be doubled and then im already on the cap what i want to handle.
The maximum of lvl 10 mines makes me angry. I cant choose the easier way ( with less recource input ) without waiting a couple of weeks until i can research deeper mining.

I thought this game can beat Ogame. But with this mandatory PVE part its to much PVE ^^

Phorton is a good example for how to farm recources through fights.
Im using a lot of engis and mines. Here you can see the difference how fast he is growing and how “fast” i am.

With the incoming balancing they want to give Players a better chance who arent playing 24/7. They can check in every 3 hours to resend their engis. That is just fair. No game lives from progamers only.

But i stay on my opinion that the Recource Cap on planets must be increased. That will lower the micromanagement and makes the game more fun. I dont like to send 20 Engi fleets every 3 hours later….

Engi Ship rebalance is fine.
But increased recources on Planet would decrease the amount of fleets needed to send out everytime. Maybe another idea for a later upgrade.

Point about this is: Each Player will send over 20 Engi fleets in 2 weeks. Maybe over 40 Engi fleets in a month. I dont think that the Servers can handle that later

You know what i think?
They do the same like with Vorp again.
They create some quickshots to cash fast.
They failed with Vorp because of a low playerbase. Bad games cant catch many people.
So in my eyes the Devs are stupid like i told you month before.
They are stupid enough to do the same mistakes again-
They are fucking lazy and they cant accept that they do a lot mistakes.
Thats why they will fail again and wont do the big hit.

A lot of us told them very very long time ago what to do to make this game balanced and awesome. And they never listened. Easy changes, but nothing.

If you all want to change this game. Start a petition that Kong programmers can get their hands on Vorp and finish it.

To bad that i hate facebook, could have to create an account to destroy their new game.
Everybody who is thinking like me:

Go to that new game when you have facebook. Own the newbies as hard as possible. Find the best ways to backdoor and show the Players how bad that game can be!

We have spend a lot of $$$ while they already focussed on that new game and they never told us that they stopped supporting Vorp! in the past. WE had to find that out by ourselfs. And i think they have to pay for it!

And theres is the problem. IT IS NOT fair balanced when the Matchmaker opens 3on3 matches!
A Newbie starts with 1200 rating. A Veteran who just play Shinobi PVP only is at 1200 rating!
And then you get matched with 1 newbie while the other Team gets the Veteran Shinobi. What do you think will happen? A fair match? No – BULLSHIT.
And this is just a “normal” example.
Everybody knows the insane crazy MM shit when Players start teaming.
When there are 25 % of really fair matches then the program is NOT working!

I posted 3 ideas how to fix the MM problem. 1 already over 6 month ago. But the Developers didnt change their crapshit here.
You and all others of you reading and posting here in Forum didnt support my ideas. And my last example is a copy of the game World of Tanks. Their Matchmaker is the Best in the world and with over 10 Million Players nobody can say that its bad! But no response, nothing!

The Players are not payed for what you think. The Developers are! And they failed from start to create a working matchmaking System.
And thats all we need here. Its easy to program, its easy to implement here, but they just failed!

But the Developers never added Newbie Protection in any way. And that´s it what lets this game diing.

If the Developers would program one of the few ideas i told them already the community would growth.

Giving Cash to them would be a mistake. They dont know ( or cant accept ) whats really needed in this game.
They programmed a lot of shit. Wasted a bunch of time for that

Leaver Penalty
Rating System
Scoring System
More and more Ships
Techs
OPS

What we really needed and still need is:

Newbie Protection
Better balancing
Different Gamemodes
Balanced and feelable Techs
Balanced and weaker OPS

As long as they dont implement this, as long we wont get more Players

In skilled Playerhands Craw is the easiest Fraghunter in this game – in the first 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes Enemies reach higher levels, more Energy. At this time Craws gibfest is slower.
After 15 minutes Craw cant kill many ships alone anymore.

So is Craw OP? In my eyes: Yes. No other ship got that scaring factor on Enemies.
Players already know how to play against Craw, and Craw is still the ship with most kills.

There is only 1 possible defense against Craw:

Stay together, watch your teammates, stay on high Energy before you chase into any fights.

Same tactics like fighting a Shinobi, just that Shinobi cant deal same high damage
