Can’t seem to get the game to load. Chat loads, and the advertisements (video) will load, but then game never starts… just the greyish background is there. Weird… other games on Kong work >.>

I’m going to have to say thumbs down.
The “featured” games are all games i’ve basically beaten and got the badges from. The old layout suggested new stuff to me, which had much more of a benefit.

So… keep the layout, but change the games you’re featuring – or add more spaces at the top for recently badged.

I love how this game inspires people who’ve never posted on the forums before (like the person who started the thread) to post out of sheer dissatisfaction with the game. They have 1120 points, so they’ve played a fair amount of games – but none of them were awful enough for them to need to post about it.

I’ve spent a ton on microtransactions in games such as Guild Wars, Dungeon Fighter Online, and many others. Why? Because I wanted to support the developers – Because the microtransactions were not a necessity to enjoy the game. They were presented in a way that seemed secondary to the game itself.

There are developers out there such as Garin (Monsters Den) or the person before Epic Battle Fantasy who could have concocted some money making scheme – but didn’t – because they truly made their games for fans of the genre. I would gladly give money to either of these developers – but it would be a frosty day in H E double hockey sticks before Edgebee Studios sees a dime of my money.

Is it too little, too late?
All the effort put into the wonderful art was wasted on the bloodsucking nature of the game. I don’t know if these changes will really be enough to make people change their mind about Edgebee Studios or Sorcey Quest.

1. Equip the soldier armor – it’s resistant to bomb damage, and those fire bits become useless.
2. Equip Matt with the Sol Spear, have Nat or Lance use a “beer” on him, and then use Cleaver for epic damage.
3. Use barrier/protect, or Nats healing limit break for stat boost.
4. Use poison. Can stack to level 10 usually. Does huge damage.
5. The spell regen is very important. Max this out.

Maybe if Natalie was presented as useless, or less important, than the other charecters.
Anyone who’s made it to the final fight knows Natalie is the only one who ISN’T scared to keep going.

The game isn’t sexist. It objectifies Nat, and uses her bosom as humor. That isn’t sexist, it’s something completely different that Carados isn’t smart enough to understand or vocalize.

For that treasure you need to go to the first level of the ice area, a few spaces below the tent in the top left is a hidden pathway.

Theres a chest behind the weapon shop, two behind the misc shop, one in the area you start in, a few in the house, and the one youre missing is probably inside the inn – theres a secret room on the right of the inn that has a chest :) Hope this helps.

1. Remove the time limit. It demotivates people to invest time in the game. Also, people are less likely to spend money on something when they see they only have a few turns left.

2. More equipment drops. Move items that you want people to pay for into a token store, and allow people to actually loot stuff that drops, or provide loot that doesn’t require tokens.

3. More gold should drop in the beginning. I have a feeling you’re left poor though in the hopes people spend money on equipment so they can actually win a few battles.

Pericles2, you’re referring to companies like SuperRewards, etc, that provide you with free premium items for completing surveys or offers. Nexon, as an example, uses services like this as a way for customers to get free Nx (which usually costs money)

You’re forgetting one critical thing here, however. Edgebee is obviously not interested in servicing their fans. This is clear from their business model. I doubt they’re willing to put in the effort to provide people with options like this as it really shows they simply want to bleed as much money from people as possible.

I am, honestly, disappointed with Kongregate for giving a game like this it’s own forum. I think it really shames a website known for it’s wonderfully rich, free, web-based games by giving THIS it’s own forum.

Compare this game to something like Elements. It’s shameful. Absolutely shameful.

I’m sorry Edgebee, but forcing people to pay FOR LOOT puts you in the money hungry category with the worst of em.
You could have released this for $5 or $10 and people might have paid that to support you – but instead you go for microtransactions – because let’s face it that’s where the money is these days.
I think, instead, i’ll focus on games like Monster’s Den, who are also made by small developers who don’t want to bleed people for simples aspects that any gamer would expect (like loot hording)

Consecrate: If the enemy’s strength is your element, you do bonus damage against them. This makes it hard for any enemy to resist you.

Beserk: Gives an increase to attack speed for a period of time. Specialism can affect how long this lasts when it triggers

Debuff: Makes the enemy take more damage. The % increase of damage is listed (Starts usually at 15% bonus and goes up) – cannot be stacked by having multiple debuff heros, but can be stacked by going up the skill tree on heroes that have it.

Steal: Steals some gold. I have not been able to figure out if this applies to gold in the level, or the reward at the end. I only know of the Burglar and Gentleman having this skill.

Loot: Applies to how often you get loot. I believe only the Scavenger, Thief, and Gentleman have this.

The rest of the skills are self explanatory. I am unsure if Bleed and Poison can stack with eachother.

I have a charecter with the “I Like Shinies” skill (1% steal chance) and I put 3 items that give +5% steal chance on the hero who has the unit.

I’ve been using the charecters like crazy, get I am not getting the Award for 50gp stolen. Am I missing something?

I cannot stand that it shows you the units a hero has, but won’t let you look at their skill trees. How do I know the difference between a knight, scavenger, beserker, whatever.

Am I just supposed to blow all my money testing it out? Lame.

Thank you very much Packman! I actually found the Immolation/Nova/Photon/Golem/Fire Eater deck online but I just couldn’t get it to work with any success against T50…
It’s always the same T50, and he uses Ray of Light / Hope Shield and I get destroyed.

I’ll keep trying!
