I had just finished up a power level with a Zombie master, after I cleared the ZM and leveled up, I tried to go back to the quest and take down the Lurking Horror on z5 when I lost connection to the server. Upon refreshing I found that the exp was right and my level was increased, but my entire energy bar had been emptied. I tried refreshing several times to see if it was just a graphic error, but nothing is working. Is there anything you guys can do? That’s over 1600e gone.

Here’s what we have planned for the near future:

++ Raid Interface changes

Although it’s not a complete suite of changes, there will be a few player requested changes to Raids that show up in today’s update. ++ World Raid There is a new world raid that is fast approaching. We hope to make this one the best experience so far (and the art is looking pretty sweet). ++ Anniversary On May 25th, we are going to be celebrating two years of Dawn of the Dragons. We hope to make it an exciting event. ++ New Zone A new zone is on the horizon.

A couple of things that we also have as high priority and want to solve are:
++ Energy/Stamina loss bug

If your gear gives you an Energy boost but you switch gear before using all of the extra, you end up with a lot less available energy than the game client shows. Look at it this way: - If you have 1000 base Energy and equipment adds +200, your game will show you to have 1200/1200 Energy. You use Energy and now have 1001/1200, 1 point over your base. - Now, if you switch gear that would give you less or no Energy bonus, your game still shows that you have 1001 Energy, but the server now says that you have 801 (removing the 200 bonus Energy). - However, if you go below your base before switching, you see 999/1200 Energy, when you switch you do not lose the extra Energy on the server. PvP Rank View bug - This bug has been hard to track down. Players can see only opposing players of lower rank in PvP. For some people it is in Duels, for some in Colosseum.

Both of these bugs are a priority for us and we could delay any of the future plans listed here until these issues are fixed.

There are four other features that I’m really anxious to see come about soon:
++ Skirmish Revamp

This feature could really be exciting. There are many people looking forward to the day we can get this implemented[/list] ++ Achievement Revamp Something really desired by both developers and players.[/list] ++ Guild vs Guild With other systems falling into place, this is becoming much more of a reality. Hopefully, the implementation will be well worth the wait.[/list] ++ Perception use in Raids Although a little longer in coming about than players and even developers had hoped, it will still happen.[/list][/list]

Our goal is to make Dawn of the Dragons even more engaging, interactive, and extremely fun. In all of our design decisions, we always ask, “But is that Fun?”. Hopefully, we will continue to bring you new features and events that will entertain for years to come.

So I would not look for this to be implmented tomorrow or this month, but it is something the devs see value in and might work into the release schedule.

I absolutely love the idea.

That being said, the question becomes how many “quest sets” would there be? If there was just one “quest set” of 20-40 random missions already in existence or even brand new battles, we would become just as bored with it as we are the grinding with the missions. For this to be a viable idea, the “quests” would have to be updated regularly, and must be different enough to for the limited card pool to make an impact.

I also agree that there should be no reward cards, definitely from missions, but I would even argue that there should be none from faction, tourney, raid, level reward, promo, etc. If you honestly think about it, those rewards consume the majority of the decks used right now. To make this a true “quest”, we have to be limited, make us think! Limit us from the boring spammable new cards, make us think and adapt to each mission.

Appeal to the Devs:
For this to work fluidly, you’re going to have to put in work. A lot of it. Randomized missions, new battles, reprogramming to limit the card pool for just that section, balancing issues, re-polishing, etc. I would almost suggest this, though I know I’ll kick myself for it later. You love money, therefore you love warbonds. Nothing is held against you for it, you’ve just made it blatantly obvious through your spamming of new content and lackluster effort to address in game issues. We love your game. That’s why you still have your loyal fanbase, despite the above issued statement. Since we love your game and want to see it improve and have more fun while we play, and you love money… How about you can allow players to add in cards of their choice for a nominal wb fee?

My proposition would be this:
Any player can “buy” up to 5 cards to add into their card pool for editing their decks for the duration of the “Quest”. The cost of each card could be a low fee the make it a viable purchase for the players, I would recommend 5 wb per card. This will increase your earned revenue with wb spending, and the players willing to pay would receive a slightly easier trip to the end of the “quest”.

Some people will think that is dumb, on the other hand I can easily see an abundance of people doing it for the rewards at the end of the quest. In order for this to be a viable option though, the rewards MUST be worth it. If you want to make money, then you have to be willing to work with us. I’m not going to recommend a reward because I don’t really play epic quest games, so I’m not really sure what a realistic quest reward would look like, but you should at least keep this in consideration, assuming you implement the above recommendation.

Sorry I read the original post and I know you asked for no discussion but I really feel this needs to be considered

Tyrant should be disqualified as it has a linked forum section and a community with easy communication behind it, whereas many of the other games do not have this and thus Tyrant is at a clear advantage despite the fact the other games on the list are clearly better as expressed by the community before the link below(where the community WAS TOLD to vote for tyrant) was introduced to the tyrant forum. Not to mention to rampant lack of customer satisfaction and complaints in the tyrant community compared to the rest of the games on the list. Furthermore, the game itself has gradually been shifting away from the “free to play” requirement Kongregate users so cherish, and is steadily moving towards a game where you must pay to continue or keep up. )

EDIT: That being said my vote would have to go for Hack, Slash, Crawl.

So because I wont lean over and kiss someone’s butt means that nothing gets done in the world. You’re so blind to the way things actually work, and again, you’re still a hypocrite. At least I’m honest with who I am.

Back on topic, again, none of these suggestions will have a negative impact on the players or the developers, except the developers will have to put time into the suggestions. On the positive side, each suggestion could have a very real and immediate, positive, effect on the game and the player base as a whole. Perhaps introduce a few of the suggestions( I.E updating the daily crate and moving the pack order around/redoing the page to show all packs) with the next expansion. This way you appeal to the new players that would be drawn in through the Kongregate promotion that tyrant lands with every expansion.

All the other ideas just require communication (seeing as how the the faction chat has been fixed), which comes back to the whole purpose of the Consortium, which was more effective communication between the devs and the players, and to funnel out ideas to present the more idealistic ones to the developers.

Again, the fact that I may be arrogant and aggressive doesn’t make me wrong, it just means I believe in my ideas(which many other people have had so I can’t even claim them, they’re the demand of many), it just means I enjoy the game and wish to see it develop. Just on a more balanced level, not so much more content, but improving areas of the game as a whole.

Hypocrisy is a beautiful thing is it not randal?

As far as the consortium is concerned, look at their stickied/locked thread. What’s the most recent post? Almost a full month ago. What has been accomplished through them besides a(n) (awesome) set of legendary cards and the tracking of the faction chat lag? Nothing.

If you check the original post date, it was quite a long time ago when all of these issues were a huge issue, and are with the exception of the faction chat lag, which I updated in the original post, in case you read over that. I will gladly sound arrogant as long as I am right. Each snide comment is based in truth. Little communication of value in almost a month will lead me to question the existence or purpose of the consortium. The deck interfaces as a whole have been pointless, because people will always complain, as they have with each new update on the interface, and no where do I see myself pushing the suggestion, and if you look in some of the threads posted, I openly bashed the player base for complaining about it. A few more clicks? Get over it, it’s still well sorted compared to before. Pointless to many, appreciated by few. I’m sorry you think increasing the chances of finding something of worth in a daily chance by .001% is an update, but many of us who have been around longer than three months know what absolute crap that is. Please point out any validation of substantial reasoning made for the house take? Its a simple request of knowledge that has been failed to be acknowledged outside the sheer mindset of greed by the devs. Promos? Fine. WB on packs? Fine. Siphoning the gold out of the players en mass prior to multiple reward cards/expansions that are ridiculously overpriced and game-changing with stats and new skills? Not fine.

If you actually look at the theme of the post itself, instead of my attitude, you’ll actually see that each idea will benefit the new players which are going to be scared off for a multitude of reasons, some of which mentioned in the original post(I notice your blatant disregard to point 3 for starters). Not only will they all benefit the new players, but the veterans as well.

The reason I say immediate, is because they are all ideas that would have an IMMEDIATE impact on the game, which would be beneficial to all involved, instead of spamming new content basically every month. All that does is make the “new content” older that much quicker, widen the gap between paid and free players, overwhelm the player base, and nullify the recent content.


Yes. I do make many snide remarks. Unfortunately, they’re based in reason, and truth, and my arrogance does not deter to the validity of any statement. For the record, pride and knowledge will get you much further and much more done than standing idly by. I guess you have yet to learn this lesson in your sheltered life. All of this raging for two or three more clicks and a little more scrolling? I mean REALLY people? That is just sheer laziness. Learn to start paying attention and being more meticulous, and stop being fat little kids crying because you have to actually put effort into something. If you care that much about the deck, or it is that essential, then just put it together, quit crying about it, it takes 10 more seconds, tops.

No I’m not a fan of the new interface either, but it showed the devs are listening, and made a legitimate attempt at satisfying the desires of the players in a short time frame, AND they have said they are still working on it.

I mean this seriously made me sick reading through the pointless complaints here

On a positive note, para, despite the fact you’re completely disrespectful and obnoxiously arrogant, this is a very well put together idea and looks very nice, good job.

I would agree with January 1st as far as the raid goes, but I highly doubt they will keep the lower energy costs for the new missions. There is no way I can see them allowing people to farm that much gold, when they have been working so hard to drain us of all of our gold up to this point.

With all the complete whining i’ve seen with everyone over Hephatat(as there is always a mob crying over spilt milk whenever any “expansion” is added), I haven’t seen anyone mention the price of the card.

Apparently you are all just assuming that once you get all of the raid reward points needed even to UNLOCK it, you would still need to gold to buy it. So if you’ve been dumping all of your gold into homeworld packs or the obnoxiously overpriced reward cards that have come out as of late, it will still be quite awhile before you can buy the raid rewards. Again, using the homeworld pack price as well as the increasing prices of rewards, you can use these as an ideal for the price of the raid rewards.

This card will NOT be instantly introduced into the meta, let alone quickly change it. Unless you have no life at all and this game is all you look forward to everyday, lets face it, you are not going to get the limited art.

So if people are willing to put in all that extra time and wb into, by all means let them freaking have it. People need to quit crying so much over things that haven’t even been released into the meta yet, especially when the card is AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE in time. No restrictions. At all. Get your panties out of a wad nerds and just play the game.

I don’t wb so this doesn’t apply to me at all, but as far as the speed options go, haven’t the devs said multiple times that they will not be adding additional speed options for multiple reasons(I.E interface issues like not enough space, mechanic issues, having to completely redo the entire battle interface, among others). I couldn’t find the exact thread because this forum is pretty much all spam, but I know I’ve read that before.

Anywho, have fun working out more wb only ideas.

I thought that with the suggestions thread gone, and the forum itself full of multitudes of worthless threads, I may be a good idea to get a short concise list of improvements to consider immediately as to improve the game function and game play overall, as well to add to the overall enjoyment of the players. Again, these are just for consideration, but they are all topics often brought up.

1) Fix the faction chat lag. Though there was an update a few weeks ago that vastly improved it, even now on different computers, I still experience lag via the chat that affects the actual game play and missions as well. I know I’m not the only one that experiences this, because again, a quick sweep of a few recent pages, and the old suggestions thread, would suggest many others have had the same issue.
-UPDATE: As of the last update, I’ve experienced no accumulating chat lag, very good job with this

2) Update the daily chance. No I’m not saying improve the war bond ratio per day, nor am i saying include rares or “OMG OPollooooo in crates FTW!!1”. I’m simply suggesting, as many others have to (preferably drastically) improve minimum, maximum, and average amount of gold found in the crates. You can keep the warbonds the same as it is now, its much better than what it was cut down to before.

-On a side not for the daily chance crate, I think it would be a good idea to weekly or monthly update the cards that we see in the daily chance crate. Just to keep things interesting. My suggestion here to would to randomly select 5-7 cards(rares, legendaries, promotional, tournament all excluded of course) across all packs(WB only packs excluded of course, HW’s inclusion would be entirely up to you all of course) and update them for the daily chance each week or month. This way, there will be a much more interesting array of cards, and it would give the players a lot less to complain about, because they would at least see effort into the daily crate.

3) Update the tournament cards we receive. I’m sure we are all very tired of seeing ranger lieutenant, brawler, and micromec, and sabotage for the given reward cards. Furthermore, I’m sure the much more successful players are tired of seeing the rares that they’ve received for regularly placing high.

4) I also think it would be nice to be given at least a thorough explanation of why there is a 30% house take, especially on the gold packs, because that just doesn’t make sense to me. What more can come of having a 30% take on gold that choking out the gold economy of the game? In light of this, and the rapidly increasing prices of everything, I’d like to suggest that the house take be reduced slightly, down to 25% or even 20%, just to keep a little more gold flowing among the players. Seeing as how the WB will directly affect your pockets, I understand that you may not want to reduce the house take on your wb only tournaments

5) move the warbond only packs and homework to the bottom page, replace homeworld with the gold pack on the list, adjust the artwork to include all packs on the same page. This goes back to the drastically increasing prices again, and the problem with keeping and maintaining a new player base. The 60k price on the Homeworld pack is very intimidating, for anyone who hasn’t used bots in the past and is sitting on a goldmine. For new players to see a combination of only 100, or if they’re lucky, 1000 gold, get excited, and see to them what could be the only available packs for gold are 60,000 gold, that alone could scare them away without even seeing the drop down arrow. If this suggestion were to work in combination with the daily chance crate, I can confidently(and boldly) say that your maintained player base could noticeably improve.

6) Tyrant roadmap. I believe I saw this somewhere else, but I can’t remember, but I(among others) would like to see a weekly or biweekly update from a stickied post on the the forums. Another idea would to block comments, just to keep it clean and professional. Were this to be implemented, the players would be happy because they would have much more communication with the Devs and Consortium, and the Devs would have more breathing room to actually work.

Again, these are only a handful of suggestions to be considered, and I’m sure there are many more. Can someone run this through the simulator? I feel like it isn’t the greatest, but its cheap and easy to obtain, and I haven’t lost on auto with it on mission 135 yet.
