<p>The Mityushikha Bay test site is 55,200 km² of land. How would civilians been killed?</p></blockquote>

Go ahead and open up the calculator application and divide 55200km^2 by 340km (170km is the radius) and you'll find the other side of this square area has a length of about 160km, or an 80 km radius, well in range of the nukes heavy damage. Not to mention that that is only heavy damage. When Tsar Bomba went off, windows in Sweden were being shattered from the force of the blast. The USSR knew what they were doing when they limited the bomb.

Anytime I try to download something in Firefox, it opens up the menu and asks you to "Save File" or "Cancel." I press "Save File," the menu disappears and nothing happens. I've looked everywhere for the files to show up, but they don't and the download list is empty. Sometimes I can get around it with the Download Helper add-on, but it's really starting to get annoying. Any suggestions?

My brother is having problems with his Laptop connecting to the internet so he uses my computer which causes problems for me, so I thought I would ask if anyone on Kongregate could help.
Anyway, his internet is just really slow whenever he connects to our router, but it works fine whenever he connects to any other router. We know nothing besides the fact that changing browsers will not help. It's an hp computer running Windows Vista and connecting to a Netgear router. If you need more information just ask, but otherwise, help?

Whenever I try to publish a preview of my game (AS3) in the flash instead of HTML only a few buttons work and the others just do what they would do in flash. For example, W and D work fine, but A goes to the white arrow tool and S goes to the Ink Bottle. When I made a game in AS2, the A and S still did that, but they also registered in the Player. Has this happened to you and do you know how to fix it. It's not really essential to my project, but it's kind of a pain to keep switching the controls when I need to trace something.

I have two for each loops aside from this one in my code and they only run once (by design, I would eventually make them run more than once) but once I actually got a button to spawn I discovered that it did only return zero. Thanks for the help Moonkey.

Andrew, you were right. When I made Profile public, everything worked fine. Thanks for the help.
As for the other question, I think for each(...in...) replaced the for(...in...) loop in AS3, but any time I've used either of them, they were the index, not the item itself.
PS Has anyone else ever had a topic just disappear on them like mine did?

Well, my last topic just disappeared, so I guess I'll ask my question again. I have a menu that I need to make buttons for with actionscript 3, but the buttons won't show up.

Menu code:

I'm using the regular controller, not the Windows version, though it has worked fine with my computer many times before.
@Ruudiluca
I basically use it with Grid Wars 2 and XPadder.

To the first two geniuses: WIRED!! :)
Also, I'm using it for various things, but it'll really be irrelevant if I can't even get windows to recognize the damn thing. The controller won't even light up when plugged in. Even when I'm just on the desktop, let alone playing a game.
PS The dick thing didn't work.

I've had a wired 360 controller for 2 years now, even though I don't have a 360. I would take it to my friend's house to play on his 360 and I used it on my PC. After a while though, I decided to unplug it because it wasn't really getting used. Now that I want to use it again, it won't work.
When I first tried to plug it in the guide button would would flash for a millisecond then turn off, but now it won't even do that. And windows makes no sound whenever it is plugged in or pulled out. Any suggestions?

Alright, well the character is animated now, but I've run into a problem animating the enemy. I have a class called "Enemy" that links to the enemy on stage. Within the enemy are all of the movie clip animations for running, jumping, attacking, etc. and each movie clip within the enemy has the instance name of "curFrame". How would I go about referencing all of the curFrame's within the enemy movie clip from the Enemy class definition?

Alright, so I'm making a platformer game in AS3 and I obviously need to animate the character. Problem is, what worked in AS2 isn't working in AS3. I have this code running every frame:

<pre>
player.gotoAndStop(player.animState+player.dir);
</pre>

And I have this code running when an arrow key is pressed:

<pre>
private function downKeys(ev:KeyboardEvent):void {
	if (keys[ev.keyCode] != null) {
 keys[ev.keyCode].down = true;
 player.animState = keys[ev.keyCode].stat;
	}
	if (ev.keyCode == Keyboard.LEFT || ev.keyCode == Keyboard.RIGHT) {
 player.dir = keys[ev.keyCode].rol;
	}
}</pre>

And here is the definition for the "keys" object:

<pre>
keys = new Object();
keys[Keyboard.UP] = {down:false, dirx:0, diry:-1, frmNum:1, stat:"jumping"};
keys[Keyboard.DOWN] = {down:false, dirx:0, diry:1, frmNum:0, stat:"standing"};
keys[Keyboard.LEFT] = {down:false, dirx:-1, diry:0, frmNum:3, stat:"running", rol:"Left"};
keys[Keyboard.RIGHT] = {down:false, dirx:1, diry:0, frmNum:2, stat:"running", rol:"Right"};</pre>

Any ideas?
