Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] Help! Stuck with an auction

The problem seems to have sorted itself out now (although it took long enough) so now I can finish creating those auctions, yay!

Thanks, but I did that, if it isn’t gone by saturday I’ll have to contact edgebee because I’m out of ideas.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] Help! Stuck with an auction

I tried to auction a critter yesterday, nobody bid and it was supposed to finish a while ago. My auction page shows that it isn’t there anymore, but I can’t create a new auction as the game is still convinced I still have 3 auctions when I have 2. Also, in my stables the critter still has ‘auction’ written over it, and as I would have liked to take a sample, I now can’t. I really don’t want it to be permanently cluttering my stable because I need the space. Anybody have any ideas what to do?

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] Mamoth critter when breeding two raptors?

Well I’ve been breeding wolves with fish to get particluar parts, the last wolf (5th gen) I bred with a moth for the 1st time and straight away I got a spider egg (which is lucky but strange). I only used my own samples, not from auction.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] Environmental affinity?

Environmental affinity only really affects combat against critters with glowing appendages that can use fire/ice/nature/lightning type attacks. You can only get this by giving them an injection from the store (although it costs tokens, boooo). So if a lightning attack hits your creature with the ground affinity, it’s damage is reduced by a certain percentage depending on the level of the trait.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] Critter Care Hotel

That sounds great! I mean, for higher tier critters it would have to be more expensive cause the food costs more, but it would be great if you’re off to somewhere nice for a week or two. Maybe not even a hotel, how about a worker that comes round to the stables and feeds/cares for them?

There are certain additional pieces that if you have a critter with an elemental injection will be replaces with and elemental attack (kinda looks like it’s a fire, also you don’t have to use an injection to use it). You have to pay with tokens and it is not passed onto offspring. the environmental affinity trait just means a lightning attack is not so good against a critter with the ground affinity but better against one with water or something similar.
Where it says ‘breath’ it just means the base piece you add it to like the bite or claw ones, I don’t have a critter with this so I just need to check if it says anything else to do with what you are saying.
Hope this helps.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] (Tier1)Tell the type of critter in egg!

Won’t let me rename it, so the other method only works for me. I kinda don’t want to know anymore now though, it’s like knowing what you’re getting for your birthday ahead of time.
Also, can you auction eggs? If not, why is it showing up then?

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] (Tier1)Tell the type of critter in egg!

I just a moment ago made a critter egg, then decided to sell a spare DNA smple at the auction house. I clicked ‘create new auction’ and above the egg it said ‘wolf’. I already knew this as I was breeding 2 wolves but I want to know if it always works, someone please try it for me?

Edit: Ah yes I meant for tier 1 critters, higher tiers are a bit more obvious unless you haven’t bred one before.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] Auctions are Stupid

Well I just got a DNA sample of a wolf with dragon wings, fangs and a spiky tail for 500 moneys (woo!) because it went from the ‘latest activity’ section so nobody could see it until it ended. This is unfair because it means the seller isn’t getting money for what they’ve spent hours/days/weeks breeding and some auctions dissapear off the map and things don’t get sold. It also means the critter with parts you are looking for is probably up for auction but isn’t being shown at the auction house which is a frustrating thought. This really needs to be fixed.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] A newbies perspective on Critter Forge

First time I played, I had no clue about this game and got a bird. At level 2 had to fight a level 35 spider (oh yay) and I wasn’t getting anywhere. So I decided to restart and got a fish with snail antennae. Now after several days of breeding I have a wolf with snail antennae, shark fin, lion tail, teeth and bat wings. It is possible to get anywhere in the game it just takes a while, so don’t give up cause after about level 20 something there are way more tier one critters without lion tails and it’s a lot easier than trying to fight with a level 5 critter (yup fighting a wolf with no unusual appendages at level 34, wth?)
Don’t give up!

Yeah your mutation trait idea sounds great, and what about the glowing appendages that give elemental attacks, I only saw one at the coliseum once but I think it would be a cool idea to have a 1% chance of getting one when you breed a critter, unless that already happens, I wouldn’t know.
Also looks weird when it’s just your critter’s butt glowing. Sorry whoever owned that blue bird with the glowing butt, I thought it looked hilarious.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] Lion tail flood

Yes, you gan get a double health skill by having snail antennae and shark fin, and you can get an attack boost and 2 duration by having the lion’s tail and a certain kind of teeth (not sure I got this info from a guide here http://www.kongregate.com/forums/50/topics/97151?page=1 ). Hope this helps!

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] Lion tail flood

Yup, you’re not kidding I have a wolf with lion tail, antennae and bat wings, (also a fish with lion tail and antlers which is what happened when I tried it first and failed). All I need now is another part that goes with that setup that gives an additional health piece and/or another part that gives an extra boost to the the lion tail (or both) then I will really be kicking lion tailed butt :)

Yes and you will also get a little money for the critter you retire (but not much though).

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Critter Forge] Lion tail flood

Well I do see what everyone is saying, the only real chance against a lion tailed critter is with another lion tailed critter, one with snail antennae or parts with the skills that NK12 said. Although, I would like to see how a critter with a lion tail and the antennae would fare, because even though it has no attack skill, the attack boost kinda makes up for that, and it can heal itself. I’ll just have to see if I can create one, it might be good, it might be lame, but I’ll see.
