The thing is though it’s not a specific build for every single quest. Or rather, the advice in this thread applies to most of the others too. The build advice you’re getting is solid and applies to most of the game. That said, it could also be your gear or stat spread; I have the same set up, and at that point, my warriors had less HP but were still able to survive fine.

Immediately Nuke one of the back Rogues. That gives one of the front Warriors a better chance at survival, and if they can’t bash through it, the Mages can blast with impunity.

Some means of moderating the Chat room, perhaps by having a regular Mod. The chat seems incredibly juvenile and even hostile to newer players, and I can only think that has at least some negative impact on the player base. It’s hard to get more players pvping if you don’t have more players to begin with.

Funny, I consistently manage to over come them with a high speed rogue and mage with two warriors in front. Their side takes out one of my Warriors, my rogue uses Poison Bomb, the Mage does whatever, the other side doesn’t have enough stamina for another insta gib so does regular damage, the warrior uses Melee resistance (and keeps it up) while the rogue keeps using Poison Bomb to keep them from doing anything interesting. Both Warriors have enough regen to keep them alive after regular attacks, with the Melee resistance buff, my rogue has enough stamina regen to keep poison up, and my Mage will kill them off with firestorms, healing occasionally.

It doesn’t; it only adds Burn stacks if there’s a native source of Burn, in the same way it adds Stun or Poison or Bleeding with a native source of any of those. Evidence: My Warriors don’t do a lick of Burn despite hitting for several hundred after applying Blazing Weapons, but they do increased Bleed and Stun.

Freezing Wind burning is from the Mage skill that gives +10% Burn, which adds that to all attacks. You can likewise see all attacks by anyone causing stun with gear or the mage and rogue skills that gives +Stun%.

no, blazing weapons does not count as fire damage spell. you need pure fire spell to add burn damage to it

Problem is the Blazing Weapons seems to give anyone the chance to apply burn with any attack/skill. Even though only mages have a +burn skill and there’s no +burn on gear.

It doesn’t. Gear can add +burn% which lets any attack provide burn, but Blazing Weapons doesn’t in itself do so.

I don’t think that the way the game currently works supports a cooldown system at all. The question needs to be asked about what problem adding a spell cooldown would address. The OP suggests it’s about balancing abilities, leading to more choice in battle, but it doesn’t actually do so. Powerful abilities would still be used immediately. 4 Mages will still nova down the back line with fireballs, or just firestorm the whole group; rogues would still Use Setup and Gut to wreck tanks, perhaps with Intimidate or Slash Face at high levels. Weaker abilities aren’t incentivised; There’s no point to using Power shot once your Rogue has something better, because it’s not worth the stamina, likewise for Boot and Blade.

If the mechanics incentivised longer battles, with higher hp’s and stamina/mana, I could see this change working, but in the current meta of overwhelming attack, where a couple turns at most decide the outcome of the fights, it doesn’t make any real difference.

I think that you’re underestimating the usefulness of buying essence for rerolls and, at higher levels, custom-enchantment equipment. I also think it would be odd to add a second option to spend gold to gain random items, since that’s exactly what the treasure expeditions are.

Use Intimidate, Slash Face, Set Up, Gut for massive damage.
Poison; they can’t buff without stamina.

Our solution will be something similar to this. We don’t want to punish players who have connection problems or who experience a client error so there needs to be some tolerable amount of disconnects, but players who habitually disconnect will be punished, likely by receiving no rewards/xp from their battles for a certain period of time or maybe even a temporary suspension if they are particularly abusive.

As one with the mentioned connection problems, I appreciate that.

They rarely pop up at the start of a match, more often during, but it does happen.

In addition, it’s fully possible for warriors to have enough armor to make the boss’ Annihilate practically useless. Take out the surrounding pylons, and you can get to a point where you can’t lose, even if it does take a while to win.

Right. You can hold up to one additional card in your hand but still draw the 3 cards you always do, just like how if you have no cards in hand you still only draw 3 cards. Having a single Tome out would allow you to have 2 cards in hand and still draw 3 to reach the new maximum of 5; normally having 2 cards in hand would let you draw only 2 cards because you reach the normal maximum of 4 cards.
