If you don’t receive the 250 tokens it is because someone on the same IP address has already claimed them. It sucks but we had to put in the measure checking for IP address because people would create an alternate account, spend the free tokens on their city and then repeat forever. It’s always a minority of idiots making things shitty for the majority of normal people.

I put in the e-mail address that’s LITERALLY MINES, and still don’t get the 250 tokens in game. Can you explain that?

things i’ve seen in the game that proves their corruption:

-card nerfs
-new raid system (costs gold to start raid, higher hp commander)
-arachis raid (extremely overpowered enemy cards)
-recent event (splinter pvp)
-legendary card upgrades cost 2 cards instead of 1

what do you think about this? anymore of this you’ve seen in the past?

totally have to agree with everything you say, including the fact that it’s one of those event scenarios where you “pay to win.” they should definitely go back to the old event system.

the way this event works really does suck. i think that implementing the whole ranking system and the fact that opponents are randomly picked for you really ruins the entire event. i extremely hate the way that you earn rewards based on your rank and the fact that we can’t use energy to do the event, but only as refills for attacks, and the fact that you made the event as “pay to win.”
i find this event extremely corrupted because it feels and looks like gambling. as i said earlier the event is like a “pay to win” thing, which is the reason why i say this.
I liked the old event system. you didn’t need to spend money to win. there was no such thing as a ranking system. opponents aren’t randomly picked for you. you pick ’em yourself. farming was a really fun thing to do to get the cards that we want to get.

pro tips:
1. in order not to go bankrupt (a.k.a. game over) , don’t buy any items offered by customers, regardless of if it’s a really good or bad price. your chances of going bankrupt can greatly increase, unless if you can haggle for a customer’s buying price down to something like 0 gold.
2. stay in countryside until you can accumulate a ton of gold, get all your recipes that your workers can research w/o buying, etc. done, join a guild that has all its upgrades purchased, and improvements all done. sale prices, etc. are really bad in later areas.
3. spend your skill pts. wisely. certain ones don’t go so well together. it’s good to spend most of it on market affinity and some on innovator. resetting skill pts. costs you tokens, which is rare to get for free through daily chance.
4. have all your stocks per each item equal. if one’s too much than the others, then you’d be out of stock, forcing you to either refuse to sell or suggest a random item to the customer, which apparently fails like about 90% of the time, unless you have spent points on silver tongue.

Nerf IS a problem because when you nerf something, you make it worse. some cards are actually WORTHLESS because of the nerf (hint: look at erelim. used to be 3/5/1, evade, sunder, and rally 2 on death. Now it’s 2/5/1, evade, sunder, and rally 2 on attacked).

All the QQing around that just bored me.

The point is that the devs have realized that the card has “silenced” almost 90% of early-to-late game cards, hence being a huge incentive to powercreep to influence the meta.

I’m not sure that nerfing it will solve the problem (i.e. rehabilitation of some decks formerly fully countered by pigs), but the objective is fine. Let’s see how the meta will evolve in the coming days.

Nerfing cards, even the best ones, will NEVER solve any problems that the game has.

Thanks! That makes sense and fits with the other ideas you told us about: strong cards should be harder to get. I still think that Pyro Rig* should be a slight exception because of the high rates of ownership of the card. If the current stats were the proposed upgrade instead of the proposed nerf, I think the current stats would be perfect because it is a cheap card and relatively easy to obtain from a relatively easy raid. (Well, the raid was easy under the old system—we still have to learn the new system.)

I don’t regret buying eight of them, and I barely use them anymore (Hammerthorn!), so the nerf won’t hurt my game very much. If anything, the current proposed nerf is great for me because about 20% of the decks we face use three or more Pyro Rigs*, and all of those decks will soon be obsolete. :)

Hell, for fun, I think I will compile a categorization of the decks we fight. I’ll post the results later.

Nerfing pyro rigs DOES hurt my game a WHOLE LOAD. It’s my favorite card all time.

how about no. pigs basically took out entire elements of the game and i am glad new decks will have a chance to be relevant again.

I’m not glad about this. I’ve beaten EVERY SINGLE MISSION AND QUESTS because of it.

We’d like to get these out within a month or so of the initial raid update, depending on other patches.

Some other roadmappish points:
5) We discussed all the Economy Revamp replies and decided that we will keep shards, and mostly reduce Gold prices. Terminus will be dropping to 100k gold with the Raid update. The remaining changes (daily bonus, Upgrade gold costs being removed) are still planned for the week following the raid update.
6) We plan on pushing card upgrades again. We like the idea of a metagame that changes frequently but with less spikes compared to the updates of yonder, with 90 card expansions every 3 months. We also like making cards from earlier sets relevant again.
7) Legendary upgrades will take two cards. There’s been some dissent against this, but we want some cards to be very hard to acquire. The meta is its most stale when a very large number of players have an identical card pool. No, this will not be popular. Yes, we are doing it anyway.
8) We are going to reevaluate the progression curve for new players. New players will never be immediately relevant to the top-tier faction wars/live pvp, but we want everyone to be involved in these features as quickly as possible. I realize that statement is super-hand-wavey and doesn’t give a concrete battleplan, but this is a commonly discussed point and it’s important to know that we share this goal. As we galvanize on this, we will share our plans with you.

Note that this thread represents a serious open discussion with the community. Trolling (including mine) and unfounded QQs should be met with the utmost derision. Constructive feedback will be strongly considered.

6. i think that 90 card expansions every 3 months is a bit too long-ish. i would prefer 90 card expansions every month or two to make it less time-consuming to wait. i also don’t think that some players wouldn’t want to wait this long for card expansions
7. why would you do it anyway? i don’t like about having to waste my time to open pack after pack to get the legendary card that i want to upgrade, twice. i would believe that other players may not mind bothering to upgrade any legendary card at all, since they need 2, and when opening card packs, the chances of getting one is much more smaller than rares.
nice update, but i’m just throwing out some concerns about what other players, including me, might face with this new update.

What do you mean degrade? We are nerfing the Pyro Rig, but only that card.

Why are you nerfing pyro rigs? They’re such good cards, that they’re my favorites. This is the card that kept the game quite alive-ish for sometime.

I feel that you should return to the ways of old (though no high WB crates) and give us a more variety of things, and even a chance to earn a card (with the adjusted sell prices you can choose cards that will be useful to new players, but still provide a profit if sold by players who are further in the game and don’t have use in it). Maybe make the chances a little less in favor of shards (considering you’ll be boosting daily quests with a consecutive prize). Also eliminate the 5k gold, because that is basically a less useful version of 1 shard. Replacing the chances of 5k gold with 1 shard will be more versatile, yet provide a similar effect.

As always, all my suggestions and wonders and ponders are IMO.

I agree with you on making the cards legit if it takes that long for more cards to come out. However, i don’t agree with you on increasing the shard value increasing, since the max is 30 and you can’t go any higher than halfway (15).

For any legendaries that you want to upgrade, YES, upgrade NOW before you have to get 2 copies of the same card in order not to waste your time just opening pack after pack to get the card that you want. For any rares that you want to upgrade, wait til’ later. You won’t need gold to do it.

Are these in-game achievements or kongregate achievements that you’re talking about?
If they’re in-game achievements, it’s a bug that should be reported to the devs ASAP.
If it’s kongregate achievements, go to the ‘achievements’ tab and on the bottom of all the listed achievements, click ‘report missing achievements’ and follow the directions listed there.
