I seriously can not code. I have tried multiple times for days straight to learn, and it just doesn’t happen, yet I have an idea, which i’m offering to a developer who just wants to code for most of the game.
I’m not doing nothing, Directing the project controls the difference between a fairly okay game and an amazing game through polish, and strategy games require immense balancing.
also, game writing is something most are not particularly good at.

Okay, So I’ve been sitting on this idea for a while, pretty much perfecting it, but in basics, its a turn based strategy game arguably similar to the battalion series (but coming into its own in quite a few areas).
I need a programmer who can create essentially entire game (without sounding over demanding :p) we can find an artist and work it out with him, and I can find music thats acceptable to use, though we may need to find sound etc.
What I will provide is the concept of the game, writing for the game, balancing, map design (in whatever format you choose) and any other tasks you feel need doing.
You will be able to take a decent (majority) percentage, though the exact percentage depends on all the extra’s we need, and my share will be a small stake (10-15%, exact terms we will discuss)
I will write a game design document once i recieve a serious offer, and that way I can write it based on your needs/how you want it laid out.

Okay, so i realised i have a game with some excellent gameplay, that is lacking some serious polish
I simply need very simple things created at a high quality, a menu screen, text, quite a simple overall job
The game will be self sponsored, so i can only offer mochi ad revenue %, which probably won’t amount to too much, but you never know.
Let me know if you’d be interested, and what percentage you’d need (maybe some previous work, as well, i guess)

Tactical: flash bang
Equipment: motion sensor
Perk 1: Hardline pro
Perk 2: Warlord pro
Perk 3: Hacker/marathon
The flex extended mags keeps all the fire rate of the famas…with none of the recoil :D

its quite a complex process, i like to have a bit of re-assurance from the forums
and i actually thought it through, i’d rather have changing frame system with 1 main character, how do you have it so it is created on the screen when needed?

Ok, i’m working on this slowly.
So whenever the main charcater hits an edge of the map, or something to change it, i make the new map popup in a lower layer, then i have the hud and characer and objects above it
is that the right way to go about this? .

i quite like the idea of different maps actually, it would allow me to easily make a interface etc
Could i have the player walking in 1 theoretical place, with reaching boundaries making the objects on screen change? That sounds like it could be an easy way past this, as then everything could be achieved on one screen, with a LOT of code for each individual object

Well i want to make a simple top down (birds eye view) rpg, which i’m developing for the fun of it to improve my flash skills :) (10 mins in by the link)

I decided to go about movement across a large map by having each map segment in its own frame, and each time you hit an edge, you change frame to the relevant frame, and i change the position of the main character so its on the opposite side, to create the effect of moving
the problem is, to do this i need a main character on each screen, which makes things a bit buggy when you go back to a previous screen
Anyway,
1: (if relevant to fix the problem) what is the code to remove an object after moving to the next frame, so it enters the next frame and uses the object which is there
2: is there a better way to go about this? :)

strange wall error help (as2)

or play for yourself and try and find it (you get it about 1 time in every 500 or so hits)

i’m using this formula to create a wall on the left side of the game (same on the right, but with inverse, off course.
Issue is, when you hit it in the corner the ball goes crazy, presumably trapped on the x<=20 line, it still goes up and down but it then can’t go right anymore, ending the game effectively
what am i doing wrong? D:
