Works fine for me. I don’t remember if I bought it before level 6 though.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Aetheron] Glitches/bugs?

My rogue won a Tier 2 Escape card, which proceeded to never appear in his inventory even after logging out/logging back in and then refreshing my browser. I’m pretty annoyed – I went to make an actual missing card report but it demands a screenshot (which I don’t have and never had a chance of getting, unless we’re expected to screencap every single card we win just in case) and some “missing card/achievement” block had to be filled in but it wouldn’t let me do so. I don’t expect the developers to be able to do anything about it now, but it would be nice if there were a better way to deal with lost cards in the future. :/ Thank you.

I disagree. Almost every other drop I get costs tokens. Which is why I complain about it so much.

I’m pretty sure you don’t HAVE to have those, though. Think of them as a shortcut instead of the traditional rpg standby of grinding for gold to buy new boots. The shortcut isn’t required to play the game, it just makes it easier. Seems reasonable enough to make their money off of optional stuff like that.

I mean maybe if you’re obsessively PVPing and an opponent has paid for rare loot it’d be annoying, but other than that there’s no reason I’ve seen yet that it should affect you.

3. More gold should drop in the beginning. I have a feeling you’re left poor though in the hopes people spend money on equipment so they can actually win a few battles.

I disagree. Grinding for gold and exp is pretty standard in roleplaying games. If you’re expecting to just breeze through every area once and never be slowed down by anything, yeah, you’re gonna be irritated. But I’d never expect an rpg that didn’t have some element of “hang around the current dungeon a while and load up on coin.”

Critter Forge’s art and character design are terrible fanservicey generic anime crap. I love that game but the human characters make me embarassed to play it. SQ is a rare game where I can actually play female characters who cover a decent range of pretty and heroic (in multiple ethnic types, no less) without constantly rolling my eyes at…well, terrible fanservicey crap.

Say what you like about the game and its token system, but IMO whoever is responsible for the art is fantastic.

how can for example all your wolfs have exactly the same apps?

Basically? Keep taking samples and breeding them together. One wolf can make four samples, and every wolf hatched from two samples can make four samples, etc etc. Eventually you’re bound to get as many samples as you want of a particular setup, unless you get a bad run of % luck or run out of one gender.

It’s that 75% or 85% are not 100%. And so long as they aren’t 100%, you might lose.

Like what? I really enjoy turn-based games and it seems most free MMO types are more real-time.

For starting out, I read that it’s best to have a wolf’s tail. I have a snail antennae on my fish, should I keep it or just abdicate and try again?

No need to waste your time starting all over again, new critters aren’t exactly hard to come by. Spam quick fights to train your fish up and gain some levels and cash, go buy a few vials, and go wolf hunting in the black forest. Wolves with lion tails and/or bristles are common as dirt. I didn’t even touch lion tails for quite a while, my wolf with only bristles did a perfectly decent job.

Topic: Sorcery Quest / Good Class to Start With/Stats?

Well you don’t need a Charisma above 4, by the time you max out your available party members you’ll be able to make a caster or engineer or something with higher Charisma and make them the leader.

Monk is pretty balanced and does good damage with Focus up. All the passive skills are pretty nice too. Guard is a supertank but my monk outshines my guard in damage every time. I like having both in my party though, Guard has a passive that lets it protect a second person in the back so my monk and guard can protect three people behind them.

Stats are pretty much a no-brainer. You may as well just experiment, you can recycle a character in the guild hall if you don’t like what you’ve done with it so far, and make a new one using the same medal. Your items go in your personal vault (look at the buttons on the top right of your screen) and your gold goes to the next character you make with that medal. You don’t waste anything but a few experience points, especially early on.

As has been explained, you’re buying the wrong items and the % ones do work exactly as advertised.

I went out to look for my first quest, a pink fish named Fraum or something. I found it. It was level 15.

What’s the point of even offering me a quest like that? My level 10 fish can’t even beat a level 8-9 fish.

Do you pick up a Final Fantasy game and complain when you can’t fight the last boss at level 1? If your opponents are going to be 15+, you yourself need to train up to be level 15+. That’s the rule in basically every rpg ever made.

Oh hey, we actually do have this under Options now. I could swear that wasn’t there last I looked. Absolutely awesome, now I can block friend requests from people I’ve never talked to also!

We desperately need this. Quite frankly, I am never ever going to accept a PvP request and yet I still have to get hit with a ton of them every day. It is annoying as heck.
