Bot Arena 3: Challenge 5 - Ranged
same for me serj. I just kept trying to run in as big a circle as I could for as long as I could. YOU CAN NEVER STOP MOVING. Why? ‘Cause if you do, your bot will do the roomba circle and stop just long enough for you to die, or get hit enough that you can’t finish it.

Gravitee Guide Help
In the early cups, you can just power your way to the hole. In the later ones, you need to use finesse and go around planets (away from suns) in order to get in the hole. It can be done for the gold, you just need to know where to finesse (to make it land on the right planet), and where to power it through (to avoid a sun’s gravity). Heck, I’ve played the Starburst crown like 12 times just to figure each one out.

arrowstorm is a piece of cake using my set up.
Only stage that might even make you nervous is the very last one, and that’s not all that rough because you get a “behind” bonus on the guy attacking your healer when she’s boxed in.

Here’s that “surrounded” scenario:

Here’s getting out of it:

When your healer does get attacked, kill the guys hitting her FIRST. Then, if possible, run her into the middle and turn her around, so that you can get a back shot on whoever is hitting her.
NOTE: Run her into middle AFTER killing a couple others off. Or else your mage will die in the process.

Some more little tidbits:
1) A maxed range archer, on high ground, can shoot across the whole map.
2) Shields are handy for soaking up wizard damage.
3) Shields are useless if another target is hit first, THEN the knight.
4) For smaller armies, a maxed healer can heal 35 points.
5) For larger armies, 2+ medium healers is better than 1 mega healer.
6) Archers are great for flanking, they’re fast!
7) Wizards are slow artillery, don’t use them for anything else. Always use as SUPPORT.

Are you TOTALLY STUCK on the perfect challenge? Here’s how I did it:
Step 1) 1 maxed out mage on high ground, 1 maxed out healer in a corner
Step 2) Move healer when necessary (to expose back of attacker to mage).
You should be able to heal for 35 each time, and that’ smore than enough to handle ANY Barrage, as long as you NEVER EXPOSE YOUR BACK. That is, until you need to defend your healer (then you have to expose it).

Any Tips for Oroboros?
Tips:
1) Blades act as armor against the energy clusters, so they’re good.
2) Blades at higher levels are “sharper” and thus require fewer to kill seekers.
3) Shields bounce clusters off multiple times and protect against swarmers (purple dots).
4) Shields at higher levels bounce more, and at lvl 3 can deflect the rockets on the sides.
5) E-bombs kill all clusters and swarmers on the screen. Use only in tight spots.
6) Seekers will dissappear after a while, so you don’t HAVE to kill them. So do swarmers (though not as fast).
7) Get the multiplier UP!!! This is how you get 1 million points. If you can get it to 20x, you’ll probably get 1 mill easy.
8) You can “spend” your upgrades. So on the 3rd level, you can downgrade your blades and upgrade your shields. Then on 4th, you can put everything into segment and agility. My personal fav is segment, since i like SHORT tails.

Particels Walkthrough
For me, I would “go with the flow.” Meaning I would try to stay behind the movement of the majority of balls. Sometimes, this means cutting across a bunch of them as they come at you. I do NOT recommend “not moving a lot.”

"Red" Walkthrough
Interesting, i just did it the old fashioned way by bouncing my shots off 1 rock into other ones. Never really used those small shots, too inneffective imho. Nice tactic though.

Orb Avoidance - Infinite Points
MnMn87 – You still going? For a guy who can’t see why I’m taking it seriously… you sure take it serously yourself.
I also don’t think anybody is looking for bragging rights with infinite points, just getting a high score that they couldn’t get before, and perhaps even beating the challenge (like any guide would do).
Plus your computer example doesn’t work, since every game has the computer programmed to react certain ways in certain situations. Is that not a handicap when compared to the human mind of near-limitless combinations? Unless, of course, you’re playing against Deep Blue or something, there are always “ways of beating the computer” in every game.
Want to beat the computer? This used to be a way that you could. Now it’s changed though because the creator didn’t want it being beaten like that. That’s fine btw. People like things they can beat though, it gives a sense of accomplishment.

Orb Avoidance - Infinite Points
Monkey – It isn’t a bloody bug. You’re not abusing anything at all, whatsoever. That’s like saying firing your gun in bursts for accuracy in counter-strike is a bug. Nor is it a flaw. Just because I discovered (I didn’t go research it as some suggested) that there are angles which the orbs can’t go doesn’t mean that it is any different than what YOU do when playing the game and using the speed and circular motion of the orb movements to crash them into squares. Plus the flash example is totally erronious and you know it. We’re not hacking or tweaking the game whatsoever by doing this.

I agree, get a couple of survivors and don’t worry if they get lost. I always like to have 1 by my side though going into the long stretch (incase I get into repair trouble).

Orb Avoidance - Infinite Points
“You can argue semantics all you want but it doesn’t change the fact that playing by that “strategy” is dishonorable. There is an unwritten set of “rules” called ‘integrity.’” -MnMn87
You assume the very thing you state. I’m challenging that assumption. So you can claim it is dishonorable till you’re blue, but you haven’t shown that to be the case, other than your personal opinion. If you wonder why I take it so seriously, you should just re-read your 2nd point.
