The idea was good Le Boss, but experience has taught me that you should offer less choice to competitors. The whole qualifier where people had to choose games is what put people off, for sure.

Actually, I’m changing my irrelevant guess to Woon. Woon got uzz/lem/someone else to answer alll the questions. That person answered “Lol, definitely don’t like this one.” To the FG question, and Woon tacked on that crap about Ather City. Figured it out too late anyway.

Well I got my sub 10 minutes.


Still a lot of room for improvement. I reckon the first 5 levels are doable in 1:20, probably less (I got to level 6 with 1:38 on the clock this run, and died 3 times). Level 6 takes about 30 seconds, level 7,8,9 are probably the hardest levels, but they’re short (10-20 seconds each), so say 45 seconds for them, 10 is doable in 10, and the last two probably another 45.
So an optimal run would be 3:30ish. I had another go at titoltoo, still about 30 seconds off my best (2:45, which is probably within 10 seconds of optimal)

Well, the most informative answers are
Verax – known for doing a song in SCGMD4, and not much else.
Ather City – never heard of this game myself, looked it up and there was some original game and then a bunch of sequels.
Triangles need to be more square – I can’t see Woon, S_98 or hamuka posting this.
Vine & Bulb – I don’t understand the association here. Is this some cultural thing?
I would say that Mr. A is unlikely to even be an eliminated player (it wasn’t last time). They are likely to be either an active FGer, or active in IBARY. I haven’t been active in either recently, so you’ll have to figure that bit out, unless devourer decides to help out.
Suspects are:
Uzzbuzz – plays SCGMD4, is active in IBARY. Not an active FGer.
Maist – ditto (not sure about activity).
Wii – neither, but did want to join this game, and won the last one. Not SCGMD4
Adeeb – active in both, but unlikely to have heard of verax and also SCGMD4. Also was Mr. A last time, and Bluji is unlikely to use the same person twice. Only a dickhead would do that.
and the rest – hamuka, woon, S_98, mysterymason, racefan, samster.

So, more questions Mister Anonymous:
Who won Ather City?
Who deserved to win?
How do you think the game could have been improved?
What do bulbs have to do with vines?
Is it some particular bulb you associate with vines?
Or some particular vine?
How many chievos do you have in SCGMD4?

Not everyone has played this game numerous times, so let’s work with 15 minutes. Sound reasonable? Suppose you are on a good run and any of the following happens.

Kong related:

A user starts spamming, excessively swearing, harassing other users, etc.
A Modcall.
A user asks a question and/or needs help.
An important private message. (Even a non-important PM, or just a simple greeting.)

Real life related:

The phone rings.
Someone knocks at the door.
Potty time.
Pet emergency.
Anything to do with a baby.
Anything to do with a sibling.
A parent asks for something to be done and/or needs help.

Miscellaneous:

Cooking a meal/time to eat.
To take a break and compose yourself.

That’s all I can think up right now. That should be enough to make my point.

Those are all good reasons, but. Speaking as a previous host, I like it when games don’t have a pause because pause tends tends to break games. Also, it’s possible to work around all those problems by refreshing/quitting your browser tab/window/whatever. You can then select ‘Continue’ from the main screen. What the game probably does need is a quit button to get to the main menu without having to refresh. Like, if you press escape mid-game, you get returned to the title screen.
