I think Kongregate should allow for all web games to the extent possible. including html5
Unity is platform specific to some extent, but so are other platforms. Runescape is (last I checked) accessible on kongregate, so I don’t think there should be any real issues about what development platform the creator uses because if kongregate can put things in an Iframe, maybe they should consider allowing more games to be nonflash.
Bugs are another issue though.
I have unity, but I had to reinstall it for kongregate to see it.
Close chrome first, That might solve some problems. otherwise I couldn’t get it to reinstall.
After I closed the browser, it (the installer) didn’t crash. that might solve some problems.

I suppose it’s good for kongregate, since they now have a steady source of income, since game-stop has several stores and everything.
it’s even better for the developers, since it draws attention to kongregate, and could get any game idea’s out there, since if you are making money off a game and the game becomes popular, it could warrant interest from a studio, like how some flash games get console versions.
it also means that kongregate might be pushed to do more with microtransactions, though that was pretty much going to happen anyway, considering the multiplayer games.
worst case scenario is that kongregate becomes popular and a lot of newer members come in, and they end up being swearing 12 year-olds.

Topic: Platform Racing 2 / Platform Racing 3?

The only way pr3 could be more interesting then the others, in my opinion, is if parkour elements were added,
3d would be difficult to do in a flash game, let alone an flash game with platforming to a time limit,
The main reason people play good 3d platformers is normally exploration or challenge, mario 64 had plenty of both.
A racing 3d platformer would be narrow and boring if it is anything close to the 2d ones, because without multiple paths and shortcuts. It would be a pointless straight line with some jumps thrown in.
3d is not likely, and neither is stuff like wall jumps or wall running or maybe even grabbing edges (parkour)
A 3d racing platformer could work, but some thought would need to be put in, for example a platform racer 3d could have paths separated by difficulty, on the level, so more experienced players could choose to go for hard paths, and gain a higher score, since they will probably beat newer players on easy levels anyway

Its not going to be easy to be a mod,
You have to follow rules, be helpful, and I am sure this means devoting a lot of time on kongregate for helping people and being a staple in the kommunity.
and to be an admin you have to work at kongregate, Which means having qualifications in the areas they are looking for.
Just calling yourself mod for a username does not give you a free ride to getting it.

My thoughts on the subject
sure, the design may be a ripoff, but if he coded it himself, then it shows he has some ability,
If you want him to change his design, give him suggestions, If it looks better with peoples help, it means that its not just another cheap knockoff.
if he had permission to use the games, then so be it, besides, if he used mochiads, then the actual creators will receive money, if the game site becomes popular.
thats what mochiads is for, allowing piracy, I mean free distribution of games while allowing the creators to profit from other peoples profit.

And my final say is, Dont purposely spam other competing sites,
Its just going to make Kongregate look bad.
if anything we want the community to look good, not a unruly mob.

Thats not the official page,
www.onemorelevel.com would be the first place to check, since that is where the announcement for fr2 came, and a lot of the suggestions for vehicles were put in the forums that used to be there.
although since oml forums is gone, you will have to directly contact the guy who owns oml, to see if the game creator is working on a third one, and while you are at it, ask him to bring back the forums.

into the plugins folder of firefox, by converting flashplayer-win.xpi into a zip file, simply by renaming it in windows explorer (depends on settings) or 7-zip or another program that can rename filenames

I would prefer to not have nested replies, but rather a list/nest fusion) A person would make a reply to a comment (via a special button) and it would be listed that they had a reply to that comment (probably by a number of replies, and then the user names that replied to that comment, upon clicking one it would bring you to their reply
and if someone was replying to someone else, it would show a link to the original reply, to allow for backtracking, and easy discussion updates, while still allowing a more forum like setup

I don’t depend on kong for new games, I usually visit a trio of sites, JIG, OML and Kong
(with funmotion being for downloadable physics games or physics flash games) runescape being on Kong does not bother me all that much.

Its pretty standard to have 13 or older, as its required by the coppa (no thats not coppa as in the guys gangsta rappers dislike thats coppa as in Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act) laws.
I knew that since I was under 13, its also why some people fake their age to get arround that law

Who says the immaturity cant stay on runescape,
I just realised something, You can be as stupid as you want within the rules on runescape.
One of my newer hobbies on runescape was taking the winter prize snow globe and using it to throw snowballs at people, regardless of whether it was summer or winter. regardless of their action, because it was funny.

You would have to get a licensing deal with valve in order to make money legally.
Portal the flash version got away with being made because some guys at valve apparently liked it. But I am not sure to what extent if they made money off it.
Nintendo has a no money policy on fan games If I understand right, which means you could make a game of Pokemon but you would have to come up with everything by yourself including graphics, sounds, and coding. I’m not sure what valves stance is, but if they commissioned a flash game that would be cool. I have heard of a facebook app designed after scrabble almost being bought by the company that makes scrabble, but then the game creators got greedy and there was a takedown notice. it later showed back up designed to be less copyright infringing but anyway there is always a possibility valves lawyers will be lawsuit happy
