Thanks Olivhare :-)
The official hub of the game is now http://starlandtd.com/ – if you need an official “home” for the game, this is it. (Currently temporary content)

Thing is, I don’t want to hold the game to ransom for money, or make it look like that. But if people actually want me to produce a sequel with their feedback with their backing, I’d love to go down that route.

And wouldn’t it be better to have a brand new Starland instead of fixing up the old one? With features that the community wanted, like co-op modes?
Do you think there’s enough of a community for a Kickstarter to succeed? I’ve been telling people there will be a sequel for years, but it’s hard to stay financially afloat so I have to make other decisions (which I feel guilty about!)

I’d love to fix it, but it’s very hard to find time to do it. Without becoming bankrupt.
I get a lot of hate mail for this game, as if I’m a huge company like EA and not just a guy.
The game doesn’t work now because Nonoba’s multiplayer system doesn’t work. Fixing it means finding another system, paying for that, and then working full time on it to fix it.

Thanks, if e-mail is the best option then I’ll go down that route. I’m probably not going to be shy about raising issues in the forum, if necessary.

Then Kongregate needs to fix the interface, because having one flag button that doesn’t let you give any detail and one that does that you have to just know about is terrible user interface design. Especially when it causes you to be on the receiving end of patronising lectures from moderators; I have provided details, even if I didn’t guess which flag button was the correct one.
A flag button that generates reports that nobody can do anything about because of missing information is a problem.

It does feel like the flag button does nothing. So I’ll make forum topics until Kongregate gets bored of me :-)

http://www.kongregate.com/games/RetroArcade2013/rick-dangerous-flash
It’s an Atari ROM running in a Flash emulator. See comments.
Flagging never gets rid of these games. I could flag up obvious cases of copyright violation every single day. Stuff like this really should be removed.

I can definitely say that nothing “fishy” is going on. The game certainly isn’t physically perfect, it was intended to use a simple model with quirks and silliness. It’s not a simulation.

NGKsobe: I’ve made quite complex symmetrical structures as test cases, and they animated symmetrically. Are you positive that yours are perfectly symmetrical? Are both sides built in the same order?
