Topic: GemCraft - Chasing Shadows / Chain-bound gem combo glitch

1) Right
2) Wrong, IIRC mixed gem multiplier is applied out of the CHLength formula
3) CH_SKILL[O] is the 1st part of the Chain Hit skill
4) Yes
5) Out of this block
6) At the end of the file there is a list of classes I looked into, there are many more formulas that I didn’t wrote in the Github document, but that is what I needed for my elaborations.

While the formula may be interesting I also warn you guys that putting too much time into understanding Chain Hit is not so useful:
if you have a *bound gem your CH is always higher than the # of monster in range, no matter how much you dilute red (as long as you still have it), if you don’t have a *bound gem just level and explore till you have them and don’t bother with max efficiency yet.

@ForsakenOutlaw (or anyone else):

If you find other interesting formulas you want to see added, or if you have a more intuitive way of writing the ones I already have (that document is more a series of notes than a guide to in-game formulas, atm) please drop me a line on Github comments of the document.

Field X1: 4.671B XP
Field X2: 3.241B XP

All the others are below 3Bil

I was easily able to sustain max traits in maps with red and a *bound gem, I can’t remember if I could do red-less or bound-less map at max traits, but I could keep Hatred at >3 in every field.

You clearly have no idea how in-game formulas work.
Bonuses from True colors and *bound gems are added at different times (one is in the logarithm, the other out of it).

There is no glitch, the game just works this way.

Source: asked the DEV and decompiled the code.

In my non-MP save at AG I’m WL 3253 (I can give you visual proof and a list of field exp if you don’t believe me) and I had no uncapped traps and amps back then (I don’t touch it since March).

You can likely reach WL 3500 with not too many problems and WL 4000 with a lot of planning and dedication.

The sheet can be resized to show more digits, I didn’t do that on the web version because of people with small screens (such as myself), but you can totally export it as an .xls/.ods and have your own copy with all the digits you desire.

Every test I’ve done (with updated data) shows accuracy at over 8 digits.

It simply uses the actual in-game formulas, there is 0 guesswork included.

Author of the HP calculator here:

notice that F3 and U7 (the 2 worst fields before) got their scaling toned down a bit in one of the last patches, but I still haven’t updated the spreadsheet.

Also F6 is slightly different between Kong/AG and Steam version and the calculator uses the Steam version, I’ll find a way to make it work, too

Topic: Kongregate / Upcoming Badges!

I’d like to go come back to a couple of years ago and suggest Jahooma’s LogicBox
It has a rating of 3.82 (just over the limit) and reports several more stats than just the total level on the highscores.

I thought about this because the author is now launching a paid sequel to it and some extra exposure may help him (I’m not in any way affiliated with the author, I just happen to like the genre a lot).

Given it being a bit old and the fact that is easy walkthough-able I’d probably go for an easy-medium.
Sorry if it’s already been suggested and refuted, didn’t feel like to read the whole thread.

Incorrect number of LolMarket Gems

When I try to sell a Gem I got from Awesome Adventures I get this message:
"undefined LV N Gems sold etc..." -> see screenshot
This happens only when I sell a single AA Gem, if I get a Gem from AA and I already have others of that kind when I sell them I'll see the correct number.

Sorry, misinterpreted the “friendly” word.
Doing an approximate extimate it will take me 14 matches to see one colossus evade, if it can and a whole lot more to confirm at 95% it cannot evade, I don’t know if it can be done in reasonable time.

EDIT: 0 Evades out of 1 chance, 13 matches, I’m going to stop.

I simply changed Infantry’s ID to “0” in cards.xml and everything worked fine.
Just a workaround, but it gets the job done.

Drake will lose to the swarm of units.

I can defeat it, with Master Orbo.
I assume thet you get a very big (yet finite) number of Rakshas, Fortresses and Edges in your turn, then your turn ends.
Then I play:

Give him “Strike 1”, “Siege 1” and “Summon Orbo on Play” instead of its abilities.

Your army dies to the power of Orbo.

Note that this card can be countered in a normal way, so please counter it in a normal way.

Rule 235: Cards can exchange abilities with other abilities and if they don’t have 3 abilities than they can gain abilities up to 3 (new abilities have power 1).

Swap “Regenerate 2” for “Summon Neverender on Death”.

Now it’s worthy of its nameSXD Vyander

Note: There is an existing 100% counter on Surge, so it won’t be difficult to invent another.

Topic: Tyrant: General Tyrant Discussion / SimTyrant - The simulator that runs from your browser!

I am currently testing some new decks for quests and I have a problem.
It seems that your simulator simply builds one deck from the quest cardpool and then evaluates my deck against that deck
[If I am wrong simply ignore the following and feel free to call me an idiot].
This leads to an extreme variability of results from simulation to simulation.
Combine it with in-game random variables and with the low number of possible simulations and you get that in Dracorex Genesis (Step 24) at 10k trials (limit of simulations doable in a reasonable time) the value oscillates of about 10%, making impossible for me to understand which card is better.
So I find myself doing 5-10 simulation at 1k to get a better approximation of the winrate of a deck, which is quite uncomfortable.
Proposal: Add a variable (n) for random decks (quest/raids) that makes the simulation divide in n parts, for every part it generates a different random deck and let us put it at a comfortable value (depending on computer speed) so we can get more meaningful results without manual restarting simulations and averaging results.

Thank you for reading and making this simulator.

Yes, that was indeed the aim, I already finished making all the useful decks I could think of, and now I have 20 more spare minutes a day thanks to Super Xeno Dominance, so I was looking for a pointless deck building challenge, well, seems like a need a foolish player like me who also knows Java, who volunteers?

Well, Moraku, that seems funny, I’m pretty sure you can implement a permaregening enemy in simulator (changing ability procs) so we can find the decks that gives the highest total damage, I’d be interesting (of funny, or completely foolish, it depends on the people…) to see how much pain we could inflict, like a Tyrantish version of Flakboy

Two requests for our helpful Moraku:

1) Commonkey notation support: he currently uses Card #n instead of Card(n) to get n copies of a Card, can you teach the “Card List (BETA)” box to recognize also this notation for multiple copies? (I already asked him to use the more standard (n) notation, but he got so many suggestions in this weeks that I don’t know if he’ll ever implement mine).

2) Debug on loss: that’s an option I always wanted in a simulator, I’d love a mode that, if enabled, will simulate the decks until my deck loses, when it happens it stops simulating and displays me the battle log of the lost battle, so I can understand how decks that seem perfect could lose and improve them in their weak points.

Thank you for all the effort put in this great tool.
