hello everyone, following on from a discussion i have had with a few users i think it would be a good idea to make a ‘kongregate musicians’ collaboration cd

initially if you are interested please just reply to this with a few details and a link to your music if possible, and i will get in touch with you

rules and information
-preferably tracks should be under 4 minutes
-Any genre (within reason) is permitted,
-semi-decent production (ie no phone recordings…)
-preferably music that is solely your work, the cd is supposed to be based on kongregate members, not the 5 other members in your rock group or whatever
-some sort of ‘kongregate presence’
-your track can be new or already released, either is fine. remixes are also fine

for a villian ideally you want them to be ‘memorable’, and not just because of what they look like, how they act etc memorable because of what they do/what their ‘aim’ is

if you’ve not seen it i recommend you watch the film ‘watchmen’ and think about the villian in that

the villain could be ‘death’, literally the grim reaper, the hero was supposed to have died in the explosion, and death has come to take him away, slowly walking after him, but because of his new found powers he can keep death at bay. but death has other plans, turning bears into bloodthirsty rages that want hero man dead, or whatever

to cut a long story short, I have been working on some new tracks for my band (solo project….) for a while now, but I have come across a problem, my newest music all has a terrible ‘made in fl studio’ sound to it, probabily because half the instruments used are midi ones (i use a very outdated laptop, so using more then a few vsts crashes it)

I am looking for someone who i can send the fl file too (or maybe even a midi file, with all the instrument notes or something) and then you can play with the tracks and put some vst’s on them, to make them sound good
the general genre style is ‘breakcore, post rock, chiptune’

if required i can pay you a fee for your time/ effort

if you would like to help please can you reply and also if possible give a link to where i can hear your music (just for interest)

most of my tracks start of as just patterns hummed and then i drum some basic pattern on my chest and leg (with my chest acting as the bass drum and leg acting as the snare)
from here i will replicate it in in FL studio 5 (i know its upto live version 12 now, but im used to version 5, and besides i would have to re-purchase it….)
from here i will add other instruments and try and create melodies that compliment the original one. I will often reuse one part for 2 instruments.
I then (attempt) to write lyrics onto the top of it (wherever i can really)

at the moment they are just 600×600 (knocked them up in mspaint, but im going to be ‘re-making them’ to be 1500×1500 or so using paint.net

from other feedback ive got from people in the chatrooms, they much preffered picture 1, a lot saying the dolls are too creepy (they will be reserved for inside the booklet or something i guess, maybe website :s

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Robot Rising] Suggestions

1. hotkey for recycleing
2.a way to passively get resources, i know theres the additional robots
3.the other robots to ‘help out’ or something, maybe they can knock 5% of building time i dont know, i know they can gather resources but the amount they can get is pitiful, and to upgrade them to get more will cost more then i will probabily get in return. i currently have 3, my main, 1 with basic equiptment and a 3rd that doesnt even have legs
4.a way to lock camera angle when in the complexes, i keep accidentally zooming in or going to overhead when i dont want to :(
5. an insentive to do different complexes, at the moment its pick one, figure out tactics, grind grind grind
6. a way to view other peoples bases or something, its cool and all having all these paints, but people love to brag or show off their wacky painted bases!
7.vaccum tubes, i have a level 3 one and it accepts however man resources i put into it, sometimes 70k…….. it seems pointless to level it, maybe one could be next to the start/ end teleporter
8.some people have mentioned that they want to be able to rotate camera, this for me isnt a problem though
9. manual movement controls, wasd arrow kets etc, again this isnt a problem for me as im used to diablo
10. a way to go back to your base mid complex, for most of us we cant complete a 4/5 tier complex in one sitting because not enough energy, but that means our base is left to its own devices, we might need to update buildings or generate a new item etc..
11 most important point at the very start of the game make the player start in a complex, some people will see " build x, now build y" and instantly quit as they think it is ‘another caesary/backyardmonsters/heroes of gaia etc’ game, and wont give it a second chance. i can say this as when i first saw the game i thought this….

sacred seasons was a decent game for its time, no energy no pvp, no pointless guilds etc. say what you want about sacred seasons but i for one enjoyed it, also i doubt tyrant will go down anytime soon as it has a huge dedicated fanbase here on kongregate

so ive been working on my latest album for about 1 and a half years now, and the music is finished apart from recording of vocals but i have come to a ‘dead end’ with thinking up decent track names (and have just used some things from videogames / twilight zone..) but i want opinions, which is your favorite trackname, which dont you like?

album is loosly space themed
