Yeah absolutely. What your seeing there is temp art that the programmer threw together, I’m still working on some layouts for the new backgrounds. Hopefully I’ll have something to show you guys in a few weeks.

Hey you should take it as a compliment! :D

A toaster oven is too small I think. You don’t have a conventional oven you can use?

Topic: The Arts / Hellfire: part 1

Interesting story! It’s got a compelling hook (man wrongfully sent to hell). There are some interesting questions: Is he going to escape? How did he get to Hell and why? Is this real? I’d like to see you develop this further.

Hector got Killgore’s machinegun working. He can now shoot while jumping and upwards at a 45 degree angle. He also got the throw system working. Its implemented much better this time around.
I’m also cooking up some new enemies and working on some cutscenes…

Try getting the yellow/black stripes near the bottom to line up correctly. Same with the wall in the background. I can see the divider line. And maybe add some more texture to it? I’m thinking that just a bit more color variations on the wall would look good. Not too much of course.

Actually the background graphics are just temp (ripped from the last game) but I’ll keep that in mind as we redesign the backgrounds.

Working on a sequel. I’m still handling all the art/animation, and Héctor Sobrevilla is working on the coding. Its shaping up nicely.

Test 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ePKWNOznTk

I’m polishing the old anim and adding fresh new ones. Also adding new enemies, new bosses and completely new environments.
The new combo system that Hector put together is amazing. Were planning on having multiple weapons that you unlock after defeating bosses.

Right now Killgore is almost too strong but were going to add a leveling system where you start off with just basic attacks and gain new fancy moves as you level up. As you get stronger we’ll balance it out by giving enemies the ability to block and dodge attacks, as well as adding heavy enemies to back up the weaklings.

Try writing a detailed doc… maybe mock some stuff up? Put at least a semblance of effort into it and someone might care.
