srs answer: He badged what he thought people would want badged. He’s not intentionally doing anything except trying to make everybody happy. Which is really really really hard.

So you admit that Greg badges games based on popularity instead of quality.

I fail to see why this is a problem. A game’s popularity merits badging just as much as its quality. I do believe there should be a balance, however.

Now this guy just isn’t any fun.

The only real option is to cook your medication into a carrot souffle and serve it at Thanksgiving.

Topic: Serious Discussion / 5 Top Military Commanders in History

Not sure we’ve gotten into Patton yet, but he revolutionized mechanized warfare. Despite his penchant for getting into trouble, he repeatedly proved his abilities in combat by pretty much destroying all resistance. His division blazed across France and into Germany, stopping only when they ran out of gas. I always thought he was one of the greats.

The Crimean War, which fueled Russian animosity towards Western Europe. The Crimean War was the first war to be widely covered by reporters, and subsequently opened the citizens of Europe up to new violence because there hadn’t been any war for the new generations _

I would give the dictator of my country full backing too if I was with a religious establishment, which communism doesn’t allow anyway.

But the plants can’t consume all the CO2. If they could, we wouldn’t have this problem. And every day we destroy more and more plants, which isn’t helping the process. The coast of North America from Georgia to Maine all used to be trees. We’ve been destroying out planet for hundreds of years, and this is what it culminates in. Drowning in higher levels of water all because some gas is holding us hostage ;_;

As I said before, I have worked with deaf + blind people, and they can speak, often a little slurred in the way that deaf people do, but I soon cracked the code. So they could talk to me. But the problem was that I couldn’t talk to them, because they couldn’t hear me (or at least not unless I bellowed directly into their ears). So I learnt finger spelling and a bit of tactile signing, and that did help. Most people wouldn’t bother, wouldn’t see the point, or in many cases, wouldn’t even know that it exists. So I still say that being deaf does put people at a disadvantage. No sources, no stats, just my personal experience. While I follow your logic on this, I just cannot agree with it.

But there is still something which you have not revealed to your adoring public, at least not in anything more than woolly generalisations. Let’s just assume that we could do pretty well anything with an embryo, as postulated in Neil’s axiom, even transform the resulting child into a physical blob – that would, after all, give it the opportunity for some pretty deep thinking. Stephen Hawking, a man whose body has failed massively, has demonstrated that rather well.

So, just where would you draw the line. Where does parental choice become a gross genetic experiment?

Parental choice becomes gross genetic experiment when it can be seen that parents are intent on harming the child. This ties into another thread about religious blindness. Everyone is entitled to free speech, even if what they’re saying is ridiculous. The same applies for your child’s body. If you believe that them being deaf, or being blind, or whatever affliction you intend to give to them is better for them, then I support it. It’s their choice. But if they’re attempting to harm their child, or it’s clearly obvious they’re unstable, it’s the responsibility of the clinic providing such a service to refuse to do it.

Isn’t it ironic that we can’t find the answers to any of the diseases and disabilities that afflict us, but we can cause them of our own volition? Just food for thought.

Topic: Serious Discussion / This is exactly how stubborn Democrats are.

Just to point out, just because they were elected doesn’t mean the democratic party likes them. Remember that even if a democrat is completely trash, he’s better than a republican because I said so. So some backwater man with no respect for human life or his adversaries decides to post an inflammatory comment specifically so we’ll talk about him and he’ll get some publicity. Any publicity is good publicity, even if it’s bad publicity. Also, maverick.
