Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / How to save this game?? (if clear browser history all lost??)

Ahh, sorry if I gave false information.
I often use CCleaner, which deletes cookies, temporary files, etc.
However, I interpreted the question as “I deleted my history. My save file is gone. Can I get it back?”

If you accidentally deleted the browser history, there isn’t really a way of getting it back. On Kongregate, your save file is saved locally (onto your computer), unlike in ArmorGames, where the game is backed up on your account.

I do hope you are not confused by the rush of questions.

Please look at this thread, it may help:

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Anyone need help?

As said, you can only finish D10 without charging the pylon by beating all 1337 waves (same as endurance, but also possible for non-premium users). However, it is very difficult, as a single hit on the pylon from a grade 20 gem could end it for you.

I am now level 347 thanks to your help. I have 2118 skills points to spend after reaching maximum skills on most other skills (exception of gems that I will not use). How should I divide up them for focus, replenish, and resonance?
I currently have all three skills around 90, have done okay on endurance.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Whats your favorite field(s)

I personally liked field D4, the fourth pylon map, due to its abundance of free mana :)
After I beat this once, I came back to it quickly to beat it again with all the possible multipliers. I got the most experience from a single map on D4 before buying the premium.

@cheezebergrPls: Your map is also B12.

Demon’s tomb..That is probably the only map with it so I had to take time to remember…
No, you can’t do anything with it. It is just a big area where you cannot put any towers or amps on.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / The Premium Field

Here are the four corner maps and requirements to find them. As you can see, you have to do more work than just the storyline quest to find these maps (exception of A13 maybe)

A1 : L9 Challenge Amulet (Kill 7000 monsters)
A13: Kill 12 Apparitions Amulet
M1 : Kill 200,000 monsters Amulet
M13: K9 Challenge Amulet (Beat 100 waves)

Of these four, it is impossible to get the K9 challenge amulet to get the M13 map without premium (endurance mode). It may be also very hard to get the A1 map without premium, as you will need to anger a lot.

Hmm, you may want to export your bookmarks and re-download Firefox. When you delete it, also delete all history, options, etc. By doing this, you can see if it is your browser that is doing it. (I guess an easier way may be to use IE or Chrome).

If everything still deletes on your browser, go into your control panel → program (may be different for XP, etc.) and look at the list of your programs. Look into any programs that has to do with clearing history to make computer faster (such as CCleaner) or security systems. You may have the setting on to block all cookies or delete cookies as soon as possible.

However, it is strange that you cannot save on ArmorGames (GCL specifically) as they also automatically save your progress to your account, not just your local computer.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Explanation of how gems work

I was about to post the similar thing that wecl0me wrote, but read your post without being lazy..
BUT, (just because you divided it up into ‘impossible’ and ‘realistic’) I would say that the idea of gems transforming atmospheric energy (?) into usable energy is realistic (comparable to wind power or solar power). On the other hand if towers were to be the gems’ source of energy, they would have to be much more expansive than gems, which are merely sources that extract energy, and shouldn’t get more and more expansive as you build :P

Just my idea in different forms than the rest of you guys :D

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / worth playing without paying?

Ahh, apologies for the double posting, but do not want to be attacked over this.

I personally gained my kreds over a long time. However, I gained around 28 kreds by doing 1 survey and watching 1 video at the very last minute. If I chose to do so, I would have done more, but I was too hyped up about playing GCL on Kongregate.

Hi Darvious,I actually saved up my Kreds over a long time, as I did not want to spend it on multi-player games, as ~50 kreds make little difference.

Probably the first survey I took was the ‘survey of the day’. Although it says survey of the day, you are pretty much only allowed to do it once (20 Kreds). Then, you can experiment around with surveys. As long as they do not ask you for credit cards or etc., it is quite safe. You can also type fake names, phone numbers, etc. for most of them. I would recommend not continue bother doing others surveys on a site after it says “You are not eligible for this survey” or something like that, as it will not record onto Kongregate.

You can also watch videos for something like maximum of 3 kreds per few days, but you probably want to gain kreds faster than that.

I seem to over-anger a lot much, and often fail to get “do not let any monsters reach your orb”, which is worth 1.3 multiplier? (quite a lot when you already have high multipliers). Any tips on how to avoid this?

Agreed..you really shouldn’t be disgusted by other people just because they haven’t done something you have. By your logic, people who started playing chapter 1 has the right to be be disgusted at you for not playing the first edition.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Exp Farming?

Hmm, I got premium and did not really bother to look closely about this ‘pylon trick.’
Now that I hear about it, however, it would be great to have a video posted about this.
Is this a bug that may be fixed soon? Is it worth for premium users to try it?

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / achiwments

I think it will be closer to:

Easy: “Do 2000 kills total” OR “Unlock a total of 10 maps”
Medium: “Kill a shadow” OR “Finish the Third Pylon Level” (Warning: This will take more than most other medium badges)
Hard: “Unlock 10 challenge amulets” (Warning: “Reach 100 waves” amulets are not possible without premium)
Impossible: “Reach level [something between 250 and 500]” (Warning: This will be much more difficult without the premium)

They will probably not have any badges that are that impossible without the premium (given that they are ethical enough) but I think it will be fair that they may advertise the possibility of premiums in the badges.
For me, this would be quite fair to those without premium, and much easier to those without (but this game will take very long without buying premium in the first place).

Although this is probably more unlikely (since they get a share of the profit from this game [my thoughts]), they may have different hard and impossible badges for premiums and non-premiums, which will encourage players to finish a lot of the game without buying the premium.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Crafting Pylons

I believe I finished the game without premium around level 100. However, I did a lot of extra leveling, not because of the pylon levels, but because there were other difficult levels I had difficulty doing without good strategy. Therefore, I think you can do each pylon level by level possible = (pylon level x 20).

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Wall bombing

With maxed demolition skill (premium) you can destroy up to 13 of your own buildings.
Anyways, M2 is not a required map for the storyline quest, so you may want to wait until you level up enough to not have to bomb the path in the middle, or finish the storyline quest and buy premium.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / worth playing without paying?

I would also say that the game is worth playing without playing. I personally got through all the maps without the premium skills, and also beat some of the challenge maps before getting the premium.
Also, i am in Canada and am able to do a lot of surveys :P

If everything is deleted when you close your browser, it may be that you set your browser to delete all cookies, history, etc. when all windows are closed. I am not sure why its only for GCL though..
If everything is deleted when you turn of your computer, it may be that a history / cookie clearing program such as CCleaner runs as soon as you turn on your computer.

Whoo! Just beat my first endurance with multiplier of ~4.
I turned on quadruple and giant only, having already failed a few times before due to overanger..
Actually quite happy that I did not turn on banished mobs cost more, although I think I could have done a little more to get some more exp :P
Thanks to everybody who gave me suggestions until now.

In endurance, is it recommended to use quadruple mob number, since you will anger anyways?

This is a pretty good guide for GCL, over at ArmorGames, which has comparative power of special by gem grade.

It is true that triple gems are only good on premium. But, without premium (and endurance) there is no need to create a triple gem in the first place.

You may want to clear your ‘recent history’ or equivalent for your browser. Gemcraft is a big game..

Hi Superxchloe,
Thanks for your answer :) I saw a lot of videos on youtube completed with 8:1 ratio.
However, I just tried it on G10 and I got slammed by wave 160. Had a lv 16 triple lime, yellow, orange gem with lv 15 of the same. Also had a trap of lv 15 covered with 5 lv 15 amps. I have a feeling I may have just angered a little too much. Does this sound about right?

Thanks a lot both InfiniteVoid and Rudy2.
As you said, tastes may vary, but is it recommended to have 9:1 amp to tower, or something like 4:3?
(For completing endurance)
