I’m in the centre :)

The girl to the right side of me is Zoe Bell.

About the number of questions – DYKFG contained 200 questions, I’ll start making them up too. First we’ll need to set the questions’ categories, I think: games, site, persons, etc.

Tulrog, thank you for suggesting an expansion of “Do You Know Flash Games?” for Kongregate’s anniversary. I’m really pleased and I think it’s a great idea! I’ll think how to combine the textual and visual questions in the new quiz.

This my game is truly unique. An animated GIF is worth 1000 words:

Just swipe the screen and enjoy the snowfall. No defeat conditions: you can do whatever you like to have fun.

Not yet, I want to go through the whole process on Android and then move to iOS. I keep experimenting now on additional Hardcore mechanics and analyzing the stats.

Topic: General Gaming / EATERS - my first mobile game [Android][Brain skill]

Hello, Kongregaters! You must know me for such flash titles as “Do You Know Flash Games?”, “Alien Anarchy”, “Cards Wars” or “Snow Tree”. I uploaded my first game to Kongregate in 2010, and now, in 2015 I decided to move to mobile.

Please, check it on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.air.com.cardswars.EATERS

I want to know your opinion.

Instructions:
1. tap open the mouth
2. wait till the monster eats the required number of food bits (shown at the top of the screen)
3. tap to close the mouth

The real challenge appears when the 2nd and the 3rd monsters appear! :)

Speaking about Mobile, I’m not giving up web game development and the tools I use (Air/Starling/Action Script 3) allow releasing a web game from the same codebase.

Hi, all!
The sequel is here! It’s called Hawkeye Gamer The questions are based on the game visuals: you’ll have to find the games’ characters, restore screenshots and find what’s wrong. Due to the size restrictions not all of the suggested games were inckuded, but I’ll surely add them in the next version

Thank you, and how should the correct question sound? I mean, the GunBall has severals slots where various weapons can be placed. And the question is about how many such slots are there.

LoneFrontliner, surely, I’ll think of composing some interesting questions about these games.

flashwalker, the idea of making a quiz about PC games is cool, but it will be more difficult. First, nowadays I don’t play modern PC games much. And while playing a new flash game to compose the question about is is not the problem: it’s just opening a link, for the PC games it won’t be so easy. Of course, it’s not really a problem, as the players, like you, could help.

Another obstacle for the playability of the game is the impossibility to link the quiz question to the game itself. This, unlike in DYKFG, will prevent the player from learning the question answer by playing the game.

And the most serious issue, I think, is the copyright. While the flash game developer gladly granted their permissions to use the game screenshots in my quiz, I doubt, what would the big companies say. Anyway, asking won’t hurt :)

So, I don’t think it is impossible, but I’ll be able to start working at PC games quiz a bit later.

Topic: Kongregate / ***Kongregate Beta Game List (none right now)***

I saw a number of Beta testing threads in the Collaborations forum, so, I posted there about my game, CardsWars. But, just in case, I’m going to leave a message here, too. (Please, don’t consider it as spamming).

I’m searching for beta testers for my Risjk-inspired Turn-based strategy.

Please, PM me your e-mail if you are interested and I’ll provide the access information to the game beta.

Topic: Kongregate / New Kongregate Version: Bug Fixes and Minor Tweaks

The ability to send messages to players is great, but It needs some calrifications of what does it actually do. I thought that the firsto option (send messages to active players) will send the messages to those who are currently playing my game. I used this option to inform them about game update, thinking, than upon receiving it they’ll refresh the game page and will see new game features. (I saw a big list of recipients in the message preview, and, as at that time the gameplays were growin grapidly I thought that all of them were playing my game at that time).

Instead I’ve got several messager from players who thought my messgae to be some kind of spam, and they even hadn’t seen my game before. Of course, I apologized, but, perhaps, got some "1"s into the game rating.

I’m not complaining, it’s a great new feature and you’re doing a very useful work, I’m just sharing my experience :)

Topic: Kongregate / What determines if games have badges?

Yes I got the permissions. From every game developer, whose games were included into the quiz. And some game developers proposed more of their games to be included, which I did gladly.

Wow, I was afraid that the rating threshold for the badges was 4.0, which seemed hardly reacheable for my game Do You Know Flash Games? , which rating is balansing around 3.77-3.82.

Several players have already asked for badges for it. And API was set and is working well. Could you, please, take a look at my game and decide, whether it can have some?

Topic: General Gaming / Suggestions for Do You Know Flash Games

Hello!
Yesterday I’ve released my flash games quiz on Kongregate and received tons of comments. I appreciate the plaers’ attention and opinions and I’d like to discuss some of the game features which could be implemented now or in the sequel.

1) Game name. Does “Do you know flash games?” sound well for you as the name of the quiz or something more snappy can be used?

2) Questions difficulty. Right now there are:
- 41% of easy questions (the answer is shown on the screen),
- 34% of average questions (the answer can be found after logical thinking)
- 25% of difficult questions (you need to actually know the game).

And then, 5 of the questions of each kind are picked for the Classic mode. This makes a smooth difficulty curve. And for the other modes the first 5 questions are selected from the easy ones, and then – picked up randomly.

Should there be more difficult questions or the game mode which allows the player to get the difficult ones right from the start?

3) More questions. The questions of what games would you like to see in the next version? For example, Fyeth suggested some vintage games, like thing thing, chaos faction, sonny, Amorphous, sleepless knight, xunmato alpha, mardek, sinjid.

Please, share your thoughs, suggestions, opinions. They are extremely helpful to me!
