In terms of exclusives?

For platformers, I’d start out with the Jak & Daxter Collection, probably one of the best, if not the platformers of all-time. Then you could go for the Sly Cooper Franchise (HD Collection & Thieves in Time). LittleBigPlanet is good too. I’m not a big fan of Ratchet & Clank, but alot of people recommend it.

If you enjoy emotional & artsy games, I’d recommend the downloable titles Flower, The Unfinished Swan & Journey. They are all amazing (Journey won numerous GOTY awards!). I’d also recommend the outstanding title Heavy Rain.

If you enjoy hack ‘n’ slash games, I’d go for God of War (HD Collection, Origins Collection, GoW III, GoW: Ascension).

If you’re a racing fan I’ve heard that Gran Turismo is a dream. As well as LittleBigPlanet Karting. Modnation Racers was a decent racer, but the loading times per track are a bit ridiculous. Twisted Metal isn’t much of a racing game as it is a demolition derby, but still fun nonetheless.

If you like action games, I’d HIGHLY recommend the Uncharted Series (1, 2 ,3). Infamous (1,2, Festival of Blood) is a good open-world action franchise as well.

Shooter guy? Go for the Killzone series as well as the Resistance series. Metal Gear Solid franchise if you enjoy a view from 3rd-person. Maybe MAG if you want a MMOTPS.

Some other great exclusives that I didn’t write above include: PixelJunk series, MotorStorm series & Demon’s Souls.

Keep in mind this is just the exclusives I’m talking about. There are tons of other great games found on other systems, but PS3 has the best and biggest variety of exclusives, hands down.

Journey is an absolute masterpiece. Hence why it won multiple GOTY awards, which is pretty remarkable due to the fact that it’s an independent game.

Anyway, Fallout NV is on my list of games to start. But you said Skyrim would be a good game that fits my criteria?

So I’ve always been interested in abandoned places such as cities, buildings, roads, etc. So I’m curious if there are any games on the PS3 that allow you to explore abandoned places or a game that takes place in/at somewhere abandoned?

A good example for something like this would be Fallout 3. And Borderlands to an extent. But are there any others? (PS3)

@KiNGDOM: Thanks for the suggestion.

@Yukkuri: I am planning on buying Secret Armory, just after I’m done with the other DLC as I’ve heard Secret Armory is the hardest of the bunch. Playing through the other 2 DLC first should raise my level high enough to where I won’t be overwhelmed in the first moments of Secret Armory (as I’m only level 33 right now) which is why I’m just curious which out of the other two I should start first.

So since you and KiNDGDOM said Zombie Island, I’ll probably go with that.

Hey OT, long time.

Anyway, I’m getting near the end of Borderlands 1 and I just realized that Gearbox released 4 DLC’s for the game so I’m wondering which one I should start first? (I’m not getting Mad Moxxi’s)

I’ve heard the Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC is quite difficult so I’ll play that through after I’m done with the others.

So which one should I start first after I finish my 1st playthrough? The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned or Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution?

Why would you want to skip the cutscenes of the campaign? That’s the whole point of the campaign, to understand the story. It’s also half of the fun to see how the game plays out knowing the plot.

I’m a PS3 gamer so I wouldn’t know but isn’t the campaign for Halo 2 way longer than Halo 4? Because I remember playing Halo 2 a couple years back and at the chapter select menu it had about twice as many levels than in this picture.
