Pd: I always thought that SKB was useless, I usually prefer quick attack xD

Quick Attack does enough less damage per hit that high levels of defense relative to your attack pretty well neutralize it. The bigger chunks of damage from PA and SKB can get through high defense more easily.

Yes, you can craft them as well.

… I wasn’t saying maxing stats would take long, I even said “a bit more” to indicate that it wouldn’t be much. The 7 hours figure was for maxing your PET, which is what you might want to be using your tokens for.

As an actual suggestion for Tukkun: we can use arrows to move through the Secret Dungeon, could we maybe have a key command to open chests as well? I’m fine with still having to click the vortex but this seems like it would add a lot of convenience to SD. Having WASD also move would be even better for those of us who much prefer that to using arrows

I don’t see the problem here, to be honest. A) you have to win to earn back the entry cost, and B) the special shop item exists to give you another shot if you don’t win, or if you’re trying to use your tokens for something else.

Its a massive problem for any low level who doesnt suck at the Stadium (its pretty hard to suck THAT bad at stadium).

You gain so many tokens so easily now that “saving tokens for something else” is never a concern anymore.

Even if you dont get 1st in DM you still gain very close to the admission cost for 2nd or 3rd… if not over depending on Racer career. And you can just do some other races which last 10 seconds max to gain the rest you need.

If I’m mathing right, going on a base rate of 7K tokens per win, you’d need ~7 consecutive hours of nonstop Death Match wins, just to max out your pet. A bit more for maxing out your stats.

If you’re going to grind Stadium for 7 hours straight, I’m inclined to say you deserve the reward.

And I think you’re overestimating the AVERAGE level of skill at Stadium. All the time in chat I see people complaining that they can’t win in Death Match at all.

how does on achieve rank 550?? O.O

You can’t, it’s for fusion.

When you fuse, the rank becomes A+B/2, so fusing it with a r450 item would result in r500.

(A+B)/2, to be technical.

BUT. What about when S-rank quests give an XP multiplier? There’s one quest, the arcade daily reward that DOES require a good showing on all the games. It’d be nice to have some way to grind towards it, maybe another category of upgrade in the arcade shop or something, offering 1% reduction in par score per 1k medals, increasing in price to a max of 10k medals for a 10% reduction or something? I’m aware that any suggestion of making arcade easier is met with fury from those who’ve already logged dozens of hours on it, but it IS nice to have both a skill-intensive and a time-intensive option for accomplishing stuff.

When s-rank quests give an EXP multiplier, I highly doubt that daily quests will count.

SCM not dropping from the first enemy killed in the BA

When entering the BA from another feature, the first enemy killed does not drop any Special Crafting Material. All subsequent kills drop normally, and changing zones does not reset this; it is only when entering the BA from elsewhere.

I can’t see the code and I have no reason to think you’re lying, but the four invisible skins in my inventory that dropped from Flying Monkeys today in 1641 indicate that something else must be going on.

I think I just realised what’s going on. It seems that you are right, every crystal drops CM, however, the first monster you kill when you just load your file for some reason, does not drop CM. I even had the epic crystal spawn and it didn’t drop CM. I have a habit of loading the game on a 2nd file when I test things out, and when I noticed I didn’t get a CM drop on the first crystal, I assumed it was not a 100% drop rate. Out of curiousity, why does the first crystal killed when I load a new file not drop CM? Some sort of system to prevent abusing something I guess?

EDIT: It’s also the first crystal killed when you just enter the map. I tried going to menu and back out, then the first crystal spawned didn’t drop CM.

I can confirm this behaviour; the first crystal killed after entering the BA does not drop SCM.

So this gives a value of 4-12 “speed”: the speed values display as percentages in game, so since 60 is the top speed I’ve seen is it accurate to say that 1 ‘speed’ is equal to 5% attack speed?

That is correct.

Can the guide be updated to reflect this, then? I doubt I’m the only person who will be confused.

Well, content-wise I think its great. Plus, the couple of cheesy jokes in there never hurt. You might want to put a line in there about the gem of constancy, noting that players should start saving earlyfor it. At 75,000 its a pretty big investment, but gives a 40% spawn rate bonus if you’ve got a fully finalized set. That combined with the 50% you get from full mining reduces wait time to about 3.5 seconds per crystal (I’m only using master pick, but I would assume its similar). I know you know all that, but could be good to put in as a side note.

One other small thing: you recommend in your early player section that they can get a pick from a pixelated mystery box if they want. The only problem with that is that the lowest level pick you can get from there is r250, which is higher than most players start mining.

Just some thoughts! Looks great! Glad to see a mining guide of this style!

Slight correction: you can get r180 pickaxes from PMBs

Thanks. I guess that means I should try to find a gold cannon. I’ve never used the collectors pendant, so I have some follow up questions. Where do I need to go to have a chance to get a max rank gold cannon?

Also have a gear related question for people who rebirthed. It seems logical to me to make a rebirth-armor set that you can use before reaching high enough level to use Humblebee or CHAOS, but I’m uncertain about what rank to go for since I have no idea how quickly one re-ranks. What have the rest of you done?

As for your GC question, any boss can drop a reward with the collector’s pendant, so mining is the most popular choice due to the inherently high drop rates involved. If you have or can afford to craft a Gem of Good Luck, I believe that will help you to get a max rank GC; however, since that means you can’t equip the Worst Moon Gem to enter Apocalypse mode, that would reduce your maximum potential unobtainium level from 7 to 6. So you have to consider whether you want that tradeoff. It will probably take you a long time to farm a GC with max rank without the GoGL, thuogh.

As for the armor sets, darkness pretty much covered it. I use Humblebee from 238-318 but I don’t have great lower rank gear.

I have a question about stats when rebirthing. I haven’t jumped into doing them yet, but one of the restrictions is that you can’t purchase stats with pixels. Is this permanent, meaning once you rebirth you can never do that on the file again, does that go back to normal once you hit r500, or is it a non-issue since you’ll get stats easy enough without needing to buy them?

It goes back to normal once you hit r500. Likewise the limitations on gaining BA Exp from non-BA sources (supply crate, business, etc)

CHAOS apparently kills the heck out of them (couldn’t tell you why, just received the advice in chat).

I usually use the same gear that I was with idling master’s, so it seems to be more relaxed. The two mobs there basically have time to get close enough to have one shot at hitting me, then die.

CHAOS IA has an 11 second cooldown attack that ignores defense and one-shots the enemies. They have a 10 second spawn time, so this synchronizes nicely. You don’t really need anything else, gear or stats or skills or anything. That alone will farm you bacon.

The enhancements won’t change, only the rank, and thus the bonuses. I figure that’s probably what you meant but the terminology is kind of important.

To answer your question: probably, and maybe. Fusing it with a higher rank item will be better for endgame, but will hurt you if you decide to Rebirth. Lower rank is much more useful for that path. On the other hand, if you have a good endgame weapon, it would be easier to farm another Bacon Sword and make that one lower-rank.

Has anyone run the numbers to see which Ignore… bonus rock(s) will be the most profitable? Sometimes one has limited free green slots and knowing which ones will contribute the most positively to pixel gains can be useful

I got a pair of Pink Crystal Pants from mining, and they seem to have a broken set bonus. I don't, however, get the spawn rate bonus. FYI, I play in version 1623.

no, you get 50% extra DR. anyway, That’s how it’s supposed to work, you wear the pickaxe and any crystal armor, and you get DR. wear all the crystal armor, and you get all 200% drop rate and 50% spawn rate.

This is not how it used to work, which is I think why it was being pointed out. Previously you got simply 50% per piece of crystal, now you get 50% per piece of crystal PLUS an additional 50% per piece for the set bonus.
