Pink Crystal Pants Set Bonus Bug
I got a pair of Pink Crystal Pants from mining, and they seem to have a broken set bonus. They still have the old +50% DR in combination with pickaxe, but they also have the new bonus for having a pickaxe + Any Crystal Pants, so I get +100% droprate instead of +50% when I wear them in combination with a pickaxe. I don't, however, get the spawn rate bonus. FYI, I play in version 1623.

no, you get 50% extra DR. anyway, That’s how it’s supposed to work, you wear the pickaxe and any crystal armor, and you get DR. wear all the crystal armor, and you get all 200% drop rate and 50% spawn rate.
This is not how it used to work, which is I think why it was being pointed out. Previously you got simply 50% per piece of crystal, now you get 50% per piece of crystal PLUS an additional 50% per piece for the set bonus.

I have to disagree here, as SD will vastly out-do SC for exp the first 5 times, and SC only goes 1 time before you have to wait 24 hours.
I have to re-disagre with you, as if you’re able to get a streak of 2K plus, the exp from SC will outstrip the possible gains from SD by several times over. If you’re slow to kill in SC, yes, it’s not as beneficial but if you’re quite powerful then it’s wow.

Oh!! i didn’t prove, but reading the bussiness guide i thinked that you can win lots Arena exp:
Fighter Rewards
If score is 1k or higher, you gain Arena Exp equal to floor(score * 15). If score is 10k or higher, the amount is multiplied by 1.3. If score is 100k or higher, it is then multiplied by 1.5. Maximum of 1 billion. You also gain Arena Kills equal to floor(score / 50).
Maybe something has change since that guide was written? Or maybe i didn’t understand the guide?
A rough guesstimate based on what I saw from turning in a business indicates that after rebirthing, you only get about 1% BA exp from businesses

I guess I wasn’t quite prepared enough (or maybe I ran into lag? I went straight to eating RFs and my levels never stopped incrementing until 9000) for a 3 minute ascension, but I reckon this is still pretty decent.

EDIT: Ah yes, here we are. My bad.
Boost depletion = floor((17 + ascensions*3 + (progress boost + exp boost + coin boost)/2000 – min boost/2000)) * ants; where ascensions*3 caps at 15. If the three boosts is > 4800,
Boost depletion = floor((14.6 + ascensions*3 + (progress boost + exp boost + coin boost)/1000 – min boost/2000)) * ants; with the same ascension restriction. -500 for the temp perk, -50 for the perma perk, *(1000-Idler level)/1000 if idle (>1 hour).
Thank you for the formula! That’s really helpful.
Just to make sure everyone is clear, that formula refers to boost decay, which is the rate at which you lose boosts(for example, going from 1500/1500 boost to 1499/1500 boost); I don’t believe that has any bearing whatsoever on temporary boost decay, which is the rate at which you lose temporary boosts(for example, going from 1500/1500 boosts to 1499/1499 boosts). It seems like that could easily get confused for some people.

yes, this is supposed to happen. get more elite temp boost and you might be able to get higher, but that’s all you can do to get over around 3300.
To elaborate on this a little bit: the decay rate of temporary boosts is based on how far they are above your normal temp boosts. If your max is 1300, then boosts at 3300 will decay at a given rate; if your max is 600, then boosts at 2600 would decay at the same rate. Higher max means higher numbers of reasonable decay, but past about 2000% extra boosts you will lose them FAST and that is working as intended. If you watch you can actually count them dropping by 100 or 1000 per tick.

No, same for every set effects.
And not just set-effects: basically, you only get the Green, Orange and Purple bonuses off of Robacon’s weapon, nothing else.

I second sycosno.
Would it be possible for “Ignore X” bonuses to still work in areas like 2011 TL where item bonuses are stripped?

I’m also not going up against either form of chaos, as I will die. Horribly. I run through all the other rooms and the “!!!!” boss as well.
The experience and YC gains (possibly GC/BC too, I can’t verify this with 100% certainty) from all enemies are substantially reduced. I’ve heard either 10% or 1% but I don’t have exact figures so I’ll refrain from pretending that I do. Chest rewards and completion rewards are unchanged no matter how many runs you do.

If you’re fighting him in WM mode, there’s quite a bit of difference, I believe on the order of either a 10% or 20% miss chance that cannot be reduced. That chance still exists on non-WM but those fights are much, much easier so it doesn’t matter nearly as much. I don’t know if it makes it impossible to beat him earlier (at least, without Alga-level gear) but it certainly makes it a LOT more difficult.

What should I have in the tech lights to track my exp gain? I tried to follow the guide, and ended with the following:
Variable Recording
var stringA= finalexp (ends up being _root.finalexp)
var A= 60
var b= 0
var c=0
boolean1=true
boolean2=false
boolean3=false
But everytime I hover over my light, I just have “-—-” for all the values. I can’t seem to figure out why it’s not working! (new to the lights here, hoping to be a pro in the long run for it)
Apologies for not using the guide to ask this, but it seems like this may be the best place to do so.
finalExp, not finalexp. Case is important in all variables.

If you can kill them fast enough to not be in danger of dying, idle mining works just fine; since the mobs spawn on top of you, you get all the loot drops. It will be slower than anti-idle mining but can still be effective.
I’d also recommend doing some Dark Pyramid runs, they’re good for YC/pixels and also help you get through Kommander missions faster, which will unlock better pickaxes.

NumberC is the number of the IA you want to track, in my screenshot it’s 4, which would show the exp for Dark Jr. Dummy. Numbers A and B can be set to any value, the way I have them makes the light flash when they’re mastered but you can tweak the numbers yourself or make them 0.

“CHAOS/CHAOS 25”? Do you mean fused u25 CHAOS, or am I misunderstanding?
I would highly doubt he means u25 CHAOS, since after like 100 tries with improving gear my best 10c HC Apoc CHAOS try was 20%…
I doubt it as well, which is why I sought clarification since I don’t know what else he could have meant.

Yes but for Crystal armors the extra spawn and drop rate bonuses only apply while you have a pickaxe equipped. For that reason I actually keep a set of each (with the crystal armor being 3 pink and 2 purple).
Also I haven’t yet felt any reason to upgrade to higher end armor since so far damage output has always been the bottle neck of what areas I can fight in rather than how much defense I have.
Better armor can have more attack, though. Many people have found that the high attack values on the Chuck Norris crafted armor are useful for stepping stones to higher level gear, I myself used CN until HBB, CN got me through HC SD

Problem is, you are letting yourself get hit. I don’t think there is a workaround for this, you are better increasing their attack first (by reducing your dodge), then their accuracy (increasing your dodge) and only then do all the rest, never letting them get near you again.
What I don’t understand is that I’m not attacking them in any way (unless reflect damage somehow applies even when they miss) so why are those bars decreasing in the first place.
Either way, does this basically mean I need to do a few full runs of idling the corruption with autofight turned off in order to raise the bars for attack and accuracy?
Reflect damage applies even if they miss, at least in some way. Look at the CHAOS fight, with black aura you take damage every time he connects with you, even if he misses.
And yes, it does mean that. Probably several runs each for Attack and Accuracy. Once those are maxed, as palparepa said, you can max out the defensive bars by nuking them before they can touch you

Not enough defense.

The attack bar is raised when the enemy hits you and does under a certain threshold of damage. You need a lot of defense and to just let yourself get hit a bunch in order to raise that bar.
Likewise, the ‘accuracy’ bar is raised when the enemy attacks you and misses.

Thanks, I already knew about the difficulty requirements but I wasn’t sure if getting the tags separately also required a level 9001 enemy. So, now that the craft-able event bonus rocks are gone, is there any reasonable way for a level 6850 player to get purple bonuses onto “of loot” armor?
HC APO mining will get them, though it might take a little while.
Mining is the slow and obvious approach, I was wondering if there was any other ways.
Not that I’m aware of that would be reasonable for a level 6850 player. They’re the only level 9001 bosses I can think of that are readily killable in HC APO

[Guide] How to beat 10c CHAOS HCWM

I personally would recommend you to use CHAOS 20 or so times in the beginning. From my experience that meant that I didn’t have to swap back to a spirit weapon later on. And one other thing i noticed, while using spirit in the beginning of the fight with CHAOS, it actually saves time using normal attacks on him even through the green phase, as you do so little damage anyway, so getting those extra chaos hits off earlier is worth it.
Chaos skill only stacks up to 15 times, so that’s the most you should use it. Agreed on the green aura point, though.
