Another idea is in CQ wars there is a damage target set for both factions. The first faction to reach their target wins the tile. I’d imagine most of the time the damage target would be the same for both sides and the target can vary is size depending on the value of the tile and it’s rewards. Maybe factions can purchase defense upgrades with gold that last for X amount of time which increases the damage target for the attacking faction.

I’d like to take this opportunity to say once again how the dev’s answer to balance is just release increasingly OP cards. 3 months ago heracles was ridiculously OP and a must have. Now it is unused and in need of a buff. We edge closer and closer to the inevitable kill everything on play card.
