Meanwhile I’m the bandit who falls on the train in the Borderlands 2 intro.

Orcs? here? DREW! I leap up. He appears to be carving something with his knife, but he’s still breathing. That’s the best kind of ‘alive’. Now its time for action. I shake Arach awake.
“I don’t want to panic you, but we may have orcs coming. Take your time.” I move on, checking if Natasha is awake. “We’ve got orcs coming. Please look at Drew.” I then approach the stranger, who I think is called Tessi. I pause, then decide to poke him with a stick. Better safe than having a throat cut from protective reflexes. “Up. Orcs might be coming.” I look around. Nothing, at least no obvious orcs. *But the birds are quiet. Never a good sign. A pull up a nasty, jagged rock and ram it into the gonne, pocketing the button. When everyone is ready, I say:
“Drew came in, said something about orcs being near, and passed out. We should leave.”

Emotional argument? More like she yells at him, he yells back, then she sobs a bit and says: “Oh, Arach my Elf in shining robes! Don’t leave me!” and Arach goes
“Okay :3” and we all lived happily ever after.
Stephenie Meyer, takes notes. THIS is how you write cross species romance! -although it is a bit one sided. :/_

(After Arach decides to come back to the camp)
I feel a wave of relief as he turns around and says he’ll come back. And it was a good thing. His grip on my shoulder is very strong, and I hope to Gods its because he’s weak, not the gulp other possibility. Still, I can’t lie. I don’t want anything to happen to him. I don’t want anything to happen to any of them, yes… but… he reminds me of a young child I knew… brash, overconfident… and cute as hell. Well, it could be worse. At least my sob there had convinced him to stay. If it takes a little forced crying and unsubtle flirting to keep the magus alive, well so be it. I was raised in stone, not chiseled from it. And he’s not stupid, just full of himself. And a wizard in the hand is worth two in a tower. I lean my head gently on Arach’s shoulder.
(Daybreak)
I wake up from a strange sleep involving, of all things, Arach! I try to sit up, but realize Arach has his head on my shoulder. My mind comes back. We had returned to the camp, and we both just sat down at a tree, me saying I’d stay close in case he needed anything. Then now. He’s asleep, on my shoulder with a faint grin. Did he hex my dreams so he’d be in them? Bleh, I’m already forgetting the dream and some part of me says its for the best. I sigh. Now what? Everyone is still here… except Drew. A quick glance spots his mask on a tree, and I can hear slow splashing from the creek, as if bathing so I’m not worried. Oh… I could probably wash too. I bite my lip. Normally its not a problem, most baths in my city are just huge tubs shared with others so I’m not nervous or anything, but people get… funny around people who don’t have a problem being seen bathing. I flip a coin. Heads, I go. Tails I stay. Flip! Tails. Ah well. Guess I’ll go find breakfast. I gently lift Arach off my shoulder, and lay his head on the ground. Pausing for thought, I remove my apron, bundle it up and put it under his head for a pillow. I cautiously approach Drew’s bag of honey and remove a jar. Oh! A honeycomb!
(Okay, iz daybreak now I get? Wait… what did i say? AHEM. It’s daybreak now, is what I’m gathering. So, once Drew is finished trying to make us Orc food washing hisself, we can go.
Oh and Sypher I’m looking at this post and realize there is the tiniest portion of controlling your character. I.e. the Yalora sleeping beside Arach. if you have a problem, PM me and I’ll change it ASAP.)
Edit: (Oh, Sypher and feel free to refuse/use the bit about me thinking Yalora thinking Arach put a spell on her to dream about him. It might be her imagination… maybe not. Up to you Sypher.)
(Oh, and just in case people are wondering: Yalora likes Arach, but not intimately. Or maybe she does but doesn’t realize. OMG PLOT TWIST! or is it a plot twist or twisted twist or a false plot that’s twisted to the plot to twist the actually I don’t know what I’m writing ZIGGY FOR PRESIDENT!)

How… How could he say such things. Peasant? Wolves? And he thinks he saved us by a pretty light show? And now he’s going to find a cave with idea where it is. I keep up with his pace. Why are people so bloody tempermental? I saw a gnome lose his temper once, and that was because the orcs had just killed his wife. Boy, and I doubt the orcs found enough pieces of their pals to bury them. Hmmm… its his ego that’s talking. Perhaps… maybe…
“Arach, I just worry about you. We’ve only just met, and I don’t want to… to lose you so soon.” I bite back a audible sob. “I… I’m just a stupid peasant, like you said… and… I can’t hope a great man like yourself will listen… but… don’t leave me Arach”
A single tear streams down my face.
(FYI, read the line before I start talking again)

“Oh that silly man.” I chase after Arach, and catch up to him when he’s well out of earshot of the rest of the group.
“Arach sit down you look like death warmed up.” I sigh at his awkward, obviously exhausted walk. “Arach, you really shouldn’t do this.” I feel a large twinge of frustration. “Gah, you’re just like every other man I’ve ever known outside my hometown: brash, arrogant and more willing to die than let their pride suffer. You’re a… bloody idiot!” I blurt out, regretting it almost immediately.

“Three miles? A good trek, but at this time I don’t think we’re up. besides, If I’m not mistaken, orcs love the night and have great night vision. Maybe we should wait for daylight. Besides,” I lower my voice so Arach can’t hear. “Besides, I worry for the magus. He looks dead on his feet. He won’t admit it, but I think it’d best if we waited so he could rest.” I raise my voice again " And I think we should stop at Drew’s house to get his resources. But I look forward to the cave." I realize how weird that sounds, and cough. " I mean… I grew up in the mountains. My house was built into a cave."

“Oh, humbleness. The first sign of a great man. Forgive me if wanderer does not do you justice. Your clothes and gear suggest you are a moving man. Where I hail from, we call people like these wanderers.” I take the water, and splash a little in my face. aaaaah, much better. "Well, that sounds nice, your cave camp. Its so nice of you to offer. And I’m glad Arach seems to agree its a good idea. " I smile at Arach. “I was just thinking a cave would make a viable home. I dare ask, is there a source of food or water there?”

1) everyone can do it. Its not like a special ability. I did say the game is flexible.
2) So an illusion of the Lunar Colossus of Ultimate Pawnage is okay then?
3) I’m not. I don’t gloat. I’m trying to be as kind as possible. I know you think the ‘no hard feelings’ is taunting, but it’s not. I genuinely don’t want this to divide our friendship.
4) …at the expense of Aelild not allowed to perform other actions. And I can only do it three times. and it only does 2 when I concentrate, which I think means not move.
If you have a counter-argument, PM it to me so we don’t clog up the thread. Same goes to SypherKhode too

“… last digit of Pi is…” I blurt as I’m awoken. I shake my head and yawn. I must have been thinking harder than I thought. last thing i remember was trying to think of a cheap design for a boat… I notice a young gentleman I hadn’t seen before, who Drew is talking to. I burst out laughing at ‘all mighty Arach’, THEN realize the half-elf is awake. Oh dear. I hope he can take a joke. I get up, groggily. Bolts and bonnets, I feel like my head is full of water. I hold myself against the a tree, and my head quickly returns to ‘bearable’. I take in the surroundings again. Everybody seems to have woken, and is taking to the stranger. Drew seems quite at ease, Natasha seems delighted at the new addition and Arach is glaring at the man like he’s a common criminal. I can’t see why. The man has a tanned complexion, showing he has spent lots of time outdoors. aaah, is that it? I hear nobles favor pale skin. His clothes are practical and simple. I mean, I doubt Arach envies them, but give me a rugged shirt to a flamboyant cape any day. The man has no scars, and is quite handsome. Is that why Arach doesn’t seem to like him? An evil part of my mind unfolds itself from eons old sleep. You know what would really put the nob half-elf in his place? Its honeyed tongue whispers. Making him think this man he so obviously dislikes is more attractive than him. Think: it might deflate his oversized ego. I suppress a grin. I walk over to the unknown man, drop to a deep curtsy* and say: “Hello, noble wanderer. I am Yalora Yasur” I look up at him and give him my best, sweetest smile.
edit: forgot to add this:
*Curtsy: a type of bow usually performed by ladies. It consists of dropping the knee. It like genuflecting but the knee doesn’t touch the ground.

I get your point sypher. But there’s two things that i think disprove that mechanic:
1) Your Talos can throw his projectiles anywhere because he’s so tall. He is so tall they pass over all units, making hiding behind your units useless. The grunts bodypiled on her, so she was under them. It would be impossible to hit her because no matter what angle you threw the boulders it couldn’t hit her. Physics is a bitch, yes?
2) The taloses were illusions. Its a bit OP if illusions attack abilities are the same. Example: Lunar Colossus of Ultimate Pawnage. Cost: 200 gold coins. Health: 2 Attack: ranged (2 magic)
Ability: Full charge: First attack deals double damage, and can target any unit on field.
Imagine if Sypher had that unit as an availible purchase. In this battle, sypher had three hardlight mannequins. Therefore, if he had the lunar colossus, he could have killed me in turn one by summoning them and attacking. Over powered? I definitely think so.

oh yeah, logically sypher your talos shouldn’t have attacked. My javelin thrower are within melee range. Your taloses had to range attack. Logically my javelin throwers should have hit first, killing them before they attacked.

Actually, Gammaflux,me and behemoth killed kirb. Seeing as your only allies are psycho and possibly Plies, well that’s not the smartest thing to do, threatening me and my pals. But none the less I look forward to the challenge.
Oh, and you’ve already taken a pally of mine: BCLEGENDS. So we’re even now.
and again, no hard feelings guys.

Gah.

I agree, the solar talos’ ability specifically breaks up using units to shield you. What a cheap trick.

Warning pun approaching:
It wasn’t actually a cheap trick.
I lost three grunts. it was quite expensive. DA DUM TISH
