May 16th Server Maintenance
I really doubt anyone was only getting through normal instance 15 because of the old scatter formula. So far these changes seem fine. I would however really like to know exactly what order the damage calculation steps happen in now rather than just getting vague language about “defensive modules.”
Also, Shadow Trojans aren’t on the list of buffed flagships, but i’ve talked to a few people who think their effect has increased. Has it?

Leveled up, did one fight, DCd, lost all but 76 of my energy. Apparently this hasn’t been fixed since the last game of yours it happened to me in.

A note to new players about PVP
Now that there’s a monthly leaderboard with decent rewards, this might be good advice. The boots are the only thing that are going to make a big difference in the first couple months worth of dueling rewards, so missing out on them for a while could be worth it just to be drastically under-ranked for your level when you start your third or so calendar month of play.

I applied 24 sp to attack, hit confirm, and got booted. When i returned my attack was the same as it was before the extra points, and i was down to 2 sp.

Are Credits and PvP Important After MAX Facilities?
Galaxydome is somewhat relevant. Skirmish/duel have very little to offer if you’re not concerned about credits, and you probably won’t be before long.

New paging raids scrollbar
While we’re talking about the layout of this feature, it’s also worth noting that the “summon” part is kind of a huge waste of space. You use it a few times every several days maximum, so convenience in getting to it isn’t a huge priority. But it shares almost equal space with the current raids column that you use every single time you’re on minimum.

Best things to get from raids.
Your best bet for the h/m/s officer is probably the guy from NM saucers alliance raid. There’s no way to get special/special crew currently. You can get a h/r/d from agony and ecstasy or mercury. I think there’s currently a mercury up, but it might be dead by now. Caligula drops an h/i crew if you find any of her. Mostly though i think you want to stick to either stat farming or almost any really high level NM stuff. Don’t bother with like z3 stuff for the most part.

I leveled up (to 120 if that matters). It displayed my bars as all full as you’d expect, but when i attempted to use honor, i was told i didn’t have enough of either health or honor. Upon refreshing, my current honor displayed as 7.

And even if everyone plays fair, it severely reduces the incentives to spend money on the game. Which helps explain both why players want it, and why it’s not really feasible for them to get it.

Beating Soulstealer
Strategist is really good against these guys. Probably your only banish card is spear at that point right? Which doesn’t help any as a pyro unfortunately. I don’t think you can just heal indefinitely like you can against acid flask dogs because of the stat-reduction from plague demon eventually getting out of hand, but tossing in several healing cards is still going to help if you haven’t done so already. If it makes you feel better, you would have eventually wanted to spend those points on deck size, so it’s really more a matter that you got things in a worse order for the time being than that you totally wasted them.

Well i just figured what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. I don’t actually think there’s anything wrong with torment chaining (and have done it myself), but the idea that strategies can be “unintentional” or wrong, rather than simply ineffective rankles me. I’m not going to try to mind read the devs, and almost every good strategy involves things that seem sort of “unintended” to me in some ways. The very nature of what makes them good is that they use cards to skirt the normal paradigms of how the game is ‘supposed’ to work and interact to create unexpected effects.

I like the idea that cycling is some kind of unintended abomination, but the opponent never taking turns is perfectly natural. As an aside, what are other people doing vs this guy? The only thing i’ve had any luck with is heartbreaker+cycling+blood bond (which hasn’t exactly been consistent). I tried torment-every-turn vs prince (who does a similar set of things except without any banishing) once for kicks and then he went first and i died instantly and decided that wasn’t a very good plan. I’m starting to think i have to get a dido to make any strategy vs him work out on a regular basis.
To the OP, if your computer isn’t animating his turns quickly enough, switch to another tab during them with sound on and tab back after the card flicking noise stops or you hear the “it’s your turn” gong. That should fix your problem.

Too long for the bug report form
I lost connection during an oroc champ brawl attempted to concede and didn’t seem to receive rewards. That’s not the bug though. When my connection got better and i came back, i did a savage marauder. Two turns in, i was informed that i had beaten him (i had not) and received gold and experience, but no tokens/cards. Deciding i should stay away from brawls for a while, i went to grind a quest mob, and then this happened http://i.imgur.com/wBCBF.png . Right away you’ll notice i have 4 cards in hand, but the real puzzler is that angry battle mage has just hit me for 18 with a hellhound pack leader. Over the course of that fight, i depleted well over 60 cards before dying (i have around 38 in my deck). So basically i think somehow the concession or disconnection rewards from oroc champ spawned during marauder, and closing that window kicked me out of the fight. But the fight was still happening, so when i opened another, i was somehow doing both of them at once.

Angry Battle Mages
IMO the easiest set of cards to get that beats them is torment+spirit ward or blood bond. Zone 1-2 brawls and gold packs should get you enough of each to make mages no problem.

If you have two greater healing potions, there’s nothing really stopping you from going full cycling instead of having a bunch of healing. If you only have 4 or 5 non-alch/potion cards you should be relatively safe, although still a ways away from invincible.

Cows of doom
I’ve only tried this guy once (with a non-cycle deck i’d been using against the cows) and got demolished. Does he have anything that actually deals damage on depletion, or just the banishers? If not you could get lucky with an mc cycle deck that kills him all at once. It would also raise the possibility of playing a pile of torments and mirror mirrors and a finisher.
edit: I did in fact mc cycle one to death, but it’s not what i’d call consistent. Probably not ideal for something that costs so much energy to attempt, but it’s an option if you’re desperate
