The ToS under “news” in the actual game frame says: (j) Multiple Accounts. Currently, an Account holder is permitted to register more than one Account. However, we reserve the right to limit the number of Accounts each person may register or use to access the Services.

edit: essentially they had a rule against alts because they give you an unfair advantage, then realized there was 0 money to be had in rules enforcement of almost any kind, and just let people do whatever. Now at least with it no longer being a rule, it isn’t punishing the most scrupulous players.

In terms of the economy, we still have about 6 pages of coms up at a given time on average, but gold inflation’s about as bad as it is there with skills at around 70mil. I’d say skills are around 9-10mp for a 1*, divine 2* burners start at around 130mp, and legends and supers are rare enough to be pretty hard to pin down, but sub 100 for a 3* burner super, and more like 120-160 for various mergeable ones probably? There’s a fair amount of scrap up publicly for gold and mp, and some real ships for mp.

I think there are a certain number of free entries based on league level, rather than who’s in first, right? In any case, champs will certainly be handing out fewer total points, and fewer points per participant than it does with there being 2 servers.

Well, this is roughly the time of year the triple crown starts up. Remember, one of the other ships they introduced on Easter was actually Passover themed, so i don’t think they’re too tied to Easter except as a date to do something.

Topic: Galaxy Online / 1000 Cubes, eh?

I’m about a week off a 3, and i still think it’s a bit too much of a grind. Also, when people were initially complaining that it was ridiculous, cubes had not yet been put in trials. I think in the long terms that’s going to be almost half of someone’s cubes per day (although they should have a bunch of either cubes or passes backlogged, i’m talking about the rate at which they gain them). So nearly doubling the output has made it just sort of ok, and the people upset with the initial rate and projections were right.

I’d rather see research/build time nerfed than blueprint availability, but there’s not necessarily anything wrong with earlier content becoming obsolete at some point. However, it should probably come with introducing new content.

Are gen2 weapon chests supposed to give out random virgo weapons, or just bloodspur? Because i have opened 4 of them from various events and trials, and all 4 were bloodspur. Is that intentional, or just a fluke, or a bug?

Topic: Galaxy Online / Missile update

Weird. I would say Missiles weren’t my first choice for all-around best, but they already had a niche. They’re the best speed farming weapon by a mile, and are also very good in the constellations that don’t have much max attack targetting (virgo and sagittarius mostly). This change doesn’t actually make them better where they were already good, and probably doesn’t do much to help them in the places they weren’t as good.

I’ve never had a 9* titan divine or level5 gems, but i gave up a pretty long time ago on actually being able to rayo or otherwise outstat constellation coms like andrew and jakar without zeroing them in any content worth doing. It is strange that it’s literally impossible rather than just way more trouble than it’s worth though.

how could you have seen them drop if they haven’t dropped for you?

I mean i know a couple people who have gotten it and linked them, and so on. I didn’t mean i literally watched it happening.

I’ve seen Jack shields drop (although not for me). Hopefully they’re fixing unispark/primus cube drops, but probably they’re just taking out ghostly planet drops at the end of that event or something.

It does seem that they take up the ruins chart slot in constellations. Scorpio has dropped <10% charts for me, and drops sparks/cubes almost all the time.

There are a lot of counters to QoB, and it’s not even crazy good in smaller formats, but for champs it’s very hard to make those solutions find the problem. It’s not enough to have one of HO/RoD/FS/TM, you need to get the QoB to actually shoot it, which means being towards the top of the list of min dura or max attack or closest to it (and you don’t know which) and then you need that fleet to not get killed by something else first. And even then, you’re potentially running a sacrifice play against it. That’s a lot of stuff you have to factor in that is partially outside of your control, and in every case but RoD it isn’t even in direct service of what champs actually rewards.

10 Chimeras isn’t as unreasonable as it looks at first blush. Although, it’s actually 11 because you need to research one too. And that’s the real catch: you need to buy two whole lines of badge ships, then still have 6000-9000 badges left over for mats, and you need to research through all that plus an ultra. I agree that the event hulls are a little confusing given the lack of options to pay for them even if you wanted to.

I don’t mind paying people getting a big advantage, or them trying to make money on this game, but i’m doubtful that squeezing what they can out of a server and then letting it dry up and die is the best plan even if that’s all you care about. You can spend at discounted rates to catch up in most other regards (coms and built ships for instance). But bp research and building are basically completely unapproachable now.

I strongly agree that the game could really use shortcuts through the lower research to go along with the increased high end. If the info posted in the other thread is correct, i’m only about a month and a half away from being able to do the hardest of the frigates, but i spent a little and have been playing for almost as long as s3 has existed. If you started 3 months ago, i can see how these are really daunting, and discourage you from ever bothering to make your own ships. It would be nice to see research times and costs tuned down significantly on instance ships, and maybe badge costs/times reduced somewhat on badge ships.

The point of the grind is to give people the feeling that they’re making progress forever. If you have it take too long, it feels like you’ll never get there, and if you have it take too little time, people “finish” the game and in either case there’s a good chance they leave. Now that you’ve extended how long the line is, you should shorten how long the early parts take. This means it still works as a way to retain long-time players, but doesn’t frustrate newer people.

I really doubt anyone was only getting through normal instance 15 because of the old scatter formula. So far these changes seem fine. I would however really like to know exactly what order the damage calculation steps happen in now rather than just getting vague language about “defensive modules.”

Also, Shadow Trojans aren’t on the list of buffed flagships, but i’ve talked to a few people who think their effect has increased. Has it?

Now that there’s a monthly leaderboard with decent rewards, this might be good advice. The boots are the only thing that are going to make a big difference in the first couple months worth of dueling rewards, so missing out on them for a while could be worth it just to be drastically under-ranked for your level when you start your third or so calendar month of play.
