No, not exactly. That would be really tedious since there are so many elements. It’s more like the Pokemon system, for example fire is strong against forest, ice and history and weak against water, sand and technology. You can only equip 10 units at a time, so it will be difficult otherwise to pick a perfect team. For example, a good team would be Black Dragon (Fire), Hydrosaur (Ice/Water), Anubian (For sand, sacrificial spamming and for Anubis), Black Tiger, Kromain King, Ormidillion Cannon (For long distance technological sniping), Diablo, White Dragon, maybe Zambozaur for bone and Shadowlord as Hero. There are also Sea Serpent, Leviathan and Kraken for good water titans. There is also of course the Ultima Units, but you’ll get those really late in the game.
It will be sort of complicated, but don’t worry, I will explain it well in-game.
Can you give me ideas for symbols of Magic, Dark, History and Technology? I was gonna use a bone for history, until bone element came up. A gear would be okay for technology, right?

Yay! Over a hundred posts! Thanks a lot for the support guys! (Although 50% of the posts are from me). It really feels good to see so many people interested in my game. Hope I can live up to your expectations!

This is Apophis. He is available through the Tjerupent’s Chaotic Call spell. He, along with Anubis, are the two godly summons available in the game. He can’t move though, so he’s more like a really powerful defensive organic turret. Only way he may move is Substitute!

No, dark element is already there for your death element, and I don’t think evasion element will work.

Dammit, I just can’t make a good enough humanoid skeletal giant. I’m not good at human figures, so I am thinking of making it dinoid. By the way, what is it’s name? If you want I can name it zambozaur (as reference to your name).

Anyway, the elements thus far are fire, water, electricity, earth, magic, dark, history, technology, ice, wind, sand, forest and bone.

@LarsDK – Are you talking about a unit or a spell or what? Cause if you are talking about a spell, I have an earthquake spell, and for units I have several burrowing units like spiders and the wyrm.

Your idea of an unit sounds really exciting! I can’t wait to start working on it. By wraith, what exactly do you mean? Whenever I hear the word wraith, for some reason I keep on thinking about Nazgul lol. I have ideas for two types of skeletal dragon – Pyragon and Glacagon (Fire and Ice). I’m thinking of adding a 13th element – bone!!
The Desert Skryte might be a dual Sand/Bone type.
Anyway a skeletal two-headed t-rex type with an axe on it’s shoulders, and perhaps other weapons embedded on it’s body sounds really scary. Can’t wait to start working on it! Hope I don’t bungle it though.

@myskybluecap – Not only is there a phoenix, but a black phoenix with dark elemental attacks which you can buy from Dread Roost building.
@TinFoilMKIV – Thanks for giving such a lot of thought to my game! Which portraits do you think look the least similar to their units? I know the Mammoth and the Tiger Dragon looks very different. I will color the cerberus portrait more reddish now. I don’t seem to be scoring points for my background. I will keep your suggestions in mind.
@Deathlord82 – Thanks! People have been telling me my artwork looks like paint, but if some of you think it looks realistic, maybe most people won’t dislike it that much.

No one’s posted anything here for a long time, and I just wanted to say the game is not dead, it is going along well. I have been working on the map, buildings, and stuff and I’ve done some unit portraits. Take a look.

@debeloprase – I am experimenting with different stuff, but I’m thinking HTML5. They accept that in Kongregate, right?

1. You mean the Mammoth needs to be fatter? Or the legs need to be shorter? I don’t exactly understand :(.

By the way, this is Anubis. He may not look much, but he is extremely powerful, and is only available through the Anubian’s Dark Rites power.

By the way, in case anyone is wondering, Anubian and Anubis is different. Anubians are followers of Anubis.

By the way, I have a question for you guys. Its about the Volcano spell. I had planned to raise a volcano at mouse point, have it spout fire and create a barrier for enemies (sort of like a wall which you have to destroy to get through). I’ve been wondering. Should i make it as a barrier for the player as well?

Phew! Finally! I was unable to login to Kongregate for three days for some reason and I was getting plenty mad! But now I am finally back by Facebook login. Anyone else had this problem?
@ manaboy & Edeslash – Thank you! I am glad you all like the screenshot. I’ve been worried about the first background a lot, so this feels good.

By the way, when I release the trailer I will give a link to the game. It’ll be a sort of beta demo :). Here is what I am planning for it.

1. Units – Anubian, Tjerupent, Unicorn, Thunderbird, Ultra Wolf, Pheonix, Black Pheonix, Kromain King and Anubis.
2. Spells – Meteor Rain, Reverse Time and Hellfire.

Okay guys here is another screenshot. I’ve greyed the background slightly, broadened outlines and added anti-aliasing. I’ve also been working on the HUD. It’s nothing great, I know, but I think it’s better than the one before. Hope you like it!

By the way, I showed the new sprites to my brother, and he says they look better and clearer than the ones before. So I am going to keep it. Hope you guys don’t mind.
