I think I figured out at least one cause of the white team bug. I sent the log and how I came across it, along with another log of the white team glitch. Hope this can finally help you squash that annoying bug.

Something I seem to notice is that using the M1 sniper gun: I cannot get a long shot with it, even though I can get somewhat lucky/excellently timed shots off halfway across the map. Meanwhile the regular sniper gun gives me long shot on shots where I can actually see what I’m shooting at, shots that the M1 doesn’t get long shot on. It seems that the M1 Sniper doesn’t have the ability to get the long shot award. If this is intentional, then the Long Shot award needs to have the description reworded.

I was wondering if that one low level player seriously found a glitch to get free tokens, or if they were just saying that to ‘hide’ the fact that they spent a ton of money on tokens or something.

Well, something strange happened. It appears that somehow two games got merged, as I got put into some other game along with the other people who were playing the same match as me previously as the white team. Eventually I switched team colors to blue, somehow. Additionally, the movement was wonky with gravity not working at all. I’ll send in the log now.

I keep checking back playing matches to see if the slow speed experiment ended. And according to whoever was using the Spicyhorse account at the time pretty much said never.

Apparently people are playing ‘three times as long’ due to not dying as fast.

But then, there was also the added 50 hp at the same time, which I think had at least a little to do with it. Can we at least try a little faster movement speed? Not one that is as fast as it was, since apparently that won’t ever happen. But just a bit faster than it is now?

So how many people actually said that the slower speed was good? Just because there are people that aren’t complaining doesn’t mean that they actually enjoy the slower speed. Just that they’re tolerating it. For now.

Is the real reason because of server issues, and the fast movement speed causes desync between players? And thus people get killed when they “shouldn’t”? Because if so, then tell us that, rather than saying that ‘the data supports’ it. I can’t think of any player who thinks the slower speed makes the experience more enjoyable.

And I just noticed that you changed the hp from 200 to 250. Or at least, that’s what I’m assuming the change was. My previous comment was that if the starting hp was 100, then the double made it 200, a good compromise would be 150 hp. Not an additional 50 hp added ontop of it. Especially when the gun damage isn’t balanced to the new hp. Just makes the slow matches take even longer, especially with the slower movement speed.

I guess the response to ‘The game goes slower with the health changes" is to make the game even SLOWER. I’m almost falling asleep with the movement speed. A game should not do that. A game should be entertaining, stimulating.

I think the players are even slower than the hot potato in that match. Which makes me wonder how slow that mode is now when you are the potato. My guess would be unable to move. Here’s a tip; when something is complained of being too slow, the answer isn’t to make everything else slower, it’s to make the slow thing faster.

Not even the movement speed booster makes the movement speed bearable.

Slow moving speed is something that can KILL any game. It makes the game a utter pain to play. It’s like taking a racing game and capping the cars at 10mph. Or deciding that what would really make chocolate bars better is to remove all the chocolate from them.

I liked the game BECAUSE it was relatively fast paced. And part of the reason why I hated the experimental potato mode is it made you INCREDIBLY slow. I don’t want to spend a minute just to get to traverse the entire map.

And I never use the dash. It just seems slow to me, and doesn’t seem to have any benefit.

The health boost is a tad much. I think if it was a 50% boost instead of a 100% one it might work better. hard to tell without trying. The nice thing is the increased health makes you try to go for crits more often. It is taking some getting used to.

Well, I think there’s a new, less obvious glitch, possibly related to the white team glitch. Basically the blue team is empty on the scoreboard, but they are still in the game. I’d send the whole log, but it looks like there’s only one error, over and over.

EDIT: Correction, it’s time to send in the log since the white team glitch happened again. Same session, different game. Seems to be the ‘normal movement’ variation though. Might be able to tell something different.

How about some sort of reverse booster? Some sort of ‘handicap’ that instead of making my character more powerful, make them weaker. I’m finding myself being a bit TOO skilled against most people, and it’s starting to get a tad boring when I get the most kills in a match, sometimes even just over half of the goal requirement. Such as if the kill count is 30, I’ll get 16. I’m starting to not equip boosters at all, and trying to find the ‘worst’ or ‘weakest’ weapon combo.

Also perhaps a game mode where it’s one versus everyone else. Either a ‘no team’/free for all mode or a ‘king of the hill’ mode, similar to potato, but you get points the longer you are the ‘potato’, with the goal to either survive as the potato to get to a score or have the most points when the time runs out.

Alright, sent the two logs. Sorry the first one is a bit long, but the fact that the UserState error bug happened pretty much right after I typed in ‘wow’ in response to the match before should help narrow down where to look. Although there apparently is a ‘cannot find texture’ error before that, glancing through the log. Not even sure what texture it was, or if it was more than one.

EDIT:
I think the UserState error might be related to the White Team bug; it might result in ‘too many players’ being registered in the room, when the visible number clearly shows empty slots. Such as one room that had 3/12 people, but trying to join it throws the ‘too many players’ error, and then causes the game to not join any other games due to the UserState error. At least until refresh, which presumably clears out the user state.

Well, not sure how useful the logs will be, the largest is from last month, before the white team glitch. The others are from a few days ago, but seem to hardly contain anything. (Yeah, I keep firefox open for a long time)

What keeps appearing is ’(Filename: C:/BuildAgent/work/14194e8ce88cdf47/Runtime/ExportGenerated/WebPlayer/UnityEngineDebug.cpp Line: 43)

The source data seems to have an inconsistent number of columns. 1’

I don’t think the log files cover the white team glitch, though. Unless the inconsistent number of columns thing is causing it. I guess the logs were cleared out from everything besides that, though, from reading it. I’ll try to see if it happens again and get the log from that, though.

Well, another new oddity with the white team. Now it just kind glitches out really badly; white team players just sort of ‘bounce’ or jitter in midair, and in the jungle map they can instantly get killed on spawn, most likely because of said glitches putting them out of bounds.

The names/healthbar were white. I was on the red team, and the kill announcements had the white team members show up as red when I or my teammates killed them. Not sure about if the blue team killed them, though. They also were players that did not appear on the scoreboard.

Possibly related is the issue that when two players click on ready, and the game starts, it sets everyone as ‘playing’, even if they haven’t clicked ready. So they get stuck in the lobby because the game ‘thinks’ they’re in the match already, but they’re not actually inside. I think they DO count as ‘members’ on the team though, since it seems like you can’t always switch teams to even them out, due to people in the lobby but not in the match being on the outnumbered side.

And sometimes if you switch teams, the game doesn’t seem to register it for everyone, and you can get teamkilled after you spawn. It’s fine after that teamkill, though.

A glitch/oddity that I came across a few days ago, that might be fixed already, is that midmatch the game added two bots to each side. With names of something like ‘bot__1’. They didn’t move at all, though. It only happened once. I only just recalled it, though.

I think it’d be better if it was a restriction on specific weapons/boosters. Of course, if they do allow booster restriction, they’d need to add a faster way to swap out boosters.

So, I was playing in the Europe server, on the glitchy ‘climber’ mode and found some pretty interesting bugs. One of the spawn points, the one after the tons of laser button things, and spawning in it makes you fall through the floor, into that wall block. You can still escape it though.

And then this ‘AStar’ menu thing kept popping up. And I think I broke the entire Europe server with it, somehow. I kept clicking on one of the buttons to see what it did, and I guess I clicked too many times. Seems like a pretty big bug, but I’m not sure if it actually took down the server or not. First the ingame chat broke, and then the server just… went down.

Again, sorry if it was my fault, but it is a pretty big bug to just seemingly randomly have it pop up for a regular user, who really shouldn’t see what is presumably a dev tester tool.

I’ve been having trouble switching away from ‘Box’ as my selected toy. As soon as I enter a game, it switches me back to Box. Additionally, my weapon selection doesn’t seem to be saving anymore in between matches/games.

And then there’s the seemingly random times I fall through the level, and I think it’s happened to me on pretty much any level. If you guys can’t figure that one out, it might help to put in a suicide/respawn button. Or have the game detect if the player falls through the level. Maybe even put invisible lava below the level maps.
