Topic: Redshift / V3.3a & V3.3b release notes

Considering that not over deploying forces necessary to win a wave is kind of important to advancement, that seems like a bad feature. We should be rewarded for using minimal force not penalized. Plenty of waves don’t require everybody to deploy, and cap ship buffs only working on your own fleets mean its a better choice for one person to deploy twice, than for two people to deploy one each.

If this is his way of penalizing leechers, he need to find a better way.

The Description on the repair bay says its upgradeable to reduce repair time, so clearly somebody was thinking about the problem at some point, but its not actually upgradeable so it would seem somebody dropped the ball here.

You got that right, repair bay can’t be upgraded but repair times are so small its not even necessary.

Repair times are tied to level, level up some, watch the repair times climb.

ilk: Don’t forget, that is retail, we’ve always go promos where you can get Immortals much cheaper.

Except in the several weeks I’ve played, I’ve only seen the pack sales way back when I didn’t even have enough credits to buy any of them (well, only one worth buying really is immortal—MAYBE legendary if you’re impatient), and I think I’ve seen immortal ship promo twice, and immortal pack ONCE. Aside from mistakenly spending credits on the starter pack and accidentally spending them to rush planetary extractors once (both mistakes, thought there was a mission chain beyond the “buy the mixed pack”), I see absolutely nothing worthwhile to actually spend credits ON. Packs? What, with 90% chance of getting 1 immortalis? On additional spins of the matter wheel? On inventory slots that get more expensive just to slightly delay the “please burn your items” annoyance (that should probably be happening automatically)? On the obscene rates to rush material extraction?

You can grind resources. You can s16 farm to purples in a fairly reasonable amount of time. It’s the immortals that are worth buying credits for and spending credits on. However, the sales for those are basically non-freaking-existent.

Have to echo one sentiment here. Some of the harder to get stuff, completely sucks.

Open my pack for guaranteed drop? Enjoy your XP card.
14 day log in reward? Have a blue ship that you’ve been recycling for the last week.
Spin the wheel? Have piles and piles of matter.
s90 reward? Blue ship! Excuse me? That’s not a reward, that’s an insult.
A week to upgrade my command center. I get making better stuff take longer, but honestly, you are going to lose a lot of peoples attention on a one week cool down.

Why on earth would I ever spend money to buy packs, or wheel spins when they just spit out so much useless garbage? 200 credits for an XP card is a great deal! No wait, its a complete ripoff.

Games got lots of potential, but there needs to be a sitdown to address all the poor balance decisions, both in game play (arena was bad enough it got pulled, Base sectors are much harder than ship sectors) as well as item drop table choices. (XP cards are not equivalent value to Crew, Hosts, or even Interceptors. Don’t try to pretend they are) If you insist on gating all the good drops behind random chance events, there also needs to be a consistent payout that will be valued no matter what the random chance event is.

Repair times get out of hand, though clearly you thought of this because the repair bay description says it can be upgraded to make repair times faster, expect you can’t actually upgrade it. This leads to people leaving their hosts really low level to keep repair times down, obviously not desired behavior. There are obvious exploits for farming with multiple fleets since the power of certain encounters is only tied to the first fleets combat rating. And somebody is having fun with us on the premissions from the phone app. Its asking for access to all kinds of silly things it has no business asking for.

Don’t be mistaken, these are not minor issues that can be brushed away with a “were working on it after the content” These are the problems that will make or break the game, major content releases won’t help if the system they are built on is still flawed.

Based on the age of this this threads original post, this input is probably too little to late. But I enjoyed getting that off my chest. :D

Found this game, liking it so far. Went to go get the andriod version so I could play on my phone when I’m on the bus…

Decided not to instal it after seeing the kind of access the app wanted. Its asking for things it has no business asking for, so here’s my suggestion. Clean up the phone apps permissions some.

Topic: Anti-Idle: The Game / Discuss the new Boost system here

My first impression is overall negative. The system is less obvious at a glance. The old system was clearly labeled and fairly intuitive, this one, I’m not really sure what its doing.

Aside from us getting screwed out of all the coins spent on features you’ve removed (like min/max boost in the shop), im not thrilled about the new ants and sprayer interactions.

Its no longer as easy to tell at a glance how I’m doing, I’ve got 1300% boosts, is that close to or far away from my max? How much boost am I down? Whats my minimum? I’m not allowed to buy more boosts currently, why not? spend 100billion to upgrade to X value, how much is that? Am i buying 10 50, 1000 boosts? Is that my max boosts? Is that a Temp boost?

Ants eat specified boost at specified interval, when? Is it tracking my average ants over the time period, or taking it all at once at the end of the time period? Maybe be a little more clear, or express boost depletion in smaller units perhaps? Does boost depletion still have a maximum value? Ants previously maxed out at 100 (before items) and would only eat boosts so fast, it was possible to sit in BA and keep boosts maxed out without buying anything, can that still be done or will boost depletion accelerate if I don’t keep manually killing ants? If the latter maybe consider giving us an automatic ant sprayer, well not give, a shop item, or epic skill maybe?

Also the bestiary boost bonus for getting kills is gone, this makes idling overnight in BA a lot less useful, actually it might be counter productive even if I’m going to wake up with crap tons of ants and no boosts.

What are max ants? What about the sprayers that reduced max ants? Do they do something different now? If I’ve got slower ant regeneration than base maybe express that somewhere I can see?

Not all bad news though, I like the merging of boosts, it seemed a little silly to have 3 categories when the idea is to keep all three maxed out anyway, this also makes the epic skill that increases boosts more useful,
