This looks useful. Right now I just keep a list of games I want to play or get back to in a folder in my bookmarks. The hover thing looks pretty useful too, though I think it could be smoother.

Would it be possible to add notifications about these news posts somewhere? They’ve disappeared from the main page again and I like to know about changes.

The time commitment on Arkandian Explorer is way off. My play time is about an hour and 15 minutes and I won’t get the easy badge for another dungeon or two, while usually you can get those within about 20 minutes or much less. I only have one artifact found so far, so I can’t imagine how long the challenge is going to take. And it’s not even enjoyable, it’s just old at this point. As with other series that do this kind of thing, it must be cool for newer people who haven’t played the previous games (and I guess they also have to like the genre(s)), but for me, having played every game that has been badged in all of Kong, it’s just kind of getting old. I’ve gotten really tired of nearly all of undefined’s games, though, so maybe I’m just not as into them as some people are.

But anyway, my point stands: the easy badge and the challenge, at least, for this game require much more time and effort than they have in the past.

Bleh. Mediocre game selection. Papa’s Wingeria, are you serious? Why are you still badging their games? It doesn’t take them very long to make, they just change the foods and stuff in their template. I suppose they’re hoping to lure in people who haven’t played the other 5+ games. Snakes On A Cartesian Plane is pretty cool, original, though it gets annoying. Can’t really complain about that though. 3 Slices 2 is sooo boring, one was more than enough. Kamikaze Pigs is okay, though it takes way too much grinding and some luck.

It seems not to appear when one has ads blocked. I don’t know whether that’s intentional or a side effect of a shared element or something.

I like it, cool features. The Featured Games thing seems pretty small, but I guess that’s just when compared to its former size.

One suggestion, would it be possible not to show Badge of the Day games in Recently Played when they were only played on the day for that badge? It should still be there for people who didn’t load the game just to get credit for BotD, but I’d rather see games that I actually spent time playing on there.

Topic: Kongregate / New Kongregate Version: More navigation tweaks and thank your forum mods!

The header, game name, and left side of the game are still aligned for me. [EDIT: actually, on GemCraft Labyrinth’s page, they’re not. It’s in the same position but the game stretches farther to the left than on a narrower game. Not sure which I prefer.] I definitely agree with Tass’ #2 and #3. Even if the space in #2 isn’t reduced I’d like to see the profile header moved down a teeny bit so it’s below the darker red bar at the top of the page instead of being on top of it. And for the game categories, yeah it counteracts all you did to make games be further up the page. Don’t like it, they’re all in the Games hover-box anyway, and I have barely ever used categories anyway.

Also, there’s a strange random dot at the very left of the screen, a couple pixels above the PLAY: [game name] text (about 103 pixels from the top of the page; it seems to shift a pixel or two left or right on different games though). Further, pressing Ctrl+A highlights a small area about 400-500 pixels from the top of the page on the left and right edges of the screen.

I like the addition of total points to the profile hover-box. Also, I agree about doing something to make the hover-boxes not appear immediately upon hovering. It’s annoying when I go to switch to another tab and they pop up, or I switch back and they pop up and then stay up because my mouse is then over the game window. I don’t think having to click is a good solution, though. Not sure what would work best.

It took me by surprise at first but I think it actually looks pretty cool. I like the reduced header space, no more (or not much) scrolling down to see all of a game :D The level progression bar is a nice feature. I think the footer is a little too big but I don’t usually look at it anyway, so it’s not a big deal. I’ll have to see how all this feels over the next week or whatever. But really, I used the old layout for four years, and I kinda like this change, so it can’t be too bad.

Lol, I had to move my shortcut to Ctrl+Shift+Q. S is apparently used by two of my other addons and L is used by one other, don’t know why it wasn’t conflicting before. Also I have one issue, the loading circle thing doesn’t appear while the list of badges is loading. I think it used to?

I set it to autopulse every 10,000 keys. Usually works pretty well although I’ve probably lost around 100k due to “invalid token” and whatever.
Sometimes I go through periods where I don’t type much just because of choices I make or stuff I have to do, but yeah I’ll keep going.

Topic: Technical Support / Changing birthday

Is there a way to change birthday information? I did not put in my actual birthday when I registered because my dad told me not to put out that kind of information (I was over 13), and now I want to set it to my real one. I tried to do it a week or so ago, when I realized I hadn’t changed it, but the change didn’t stick. Now there aren’t dropdowns at all.

Looks like I’ve made it to the rank within the team where there’s a lot of competition. I’ve been sitting at 123-124 for at least a week. I’ll hopefully be (finally) getting to lots of flash games and FFR after this week (finals), so maybe that will help me past it.

See my comment above :P If nothing happens, maybe you used a key that is reserved but didn’t do anything where you used it, I dunno. L works and makes sense since it’s right next to K.

I don’t think the API Checker script is entirely working properly. It doesn’t mark some games that have badges as such. For example, errors on the first page of highest rated games: Cursed Treasure, Monster Slayers, and Sonny 2. Don’t know what could be causing this.

Also, could you add some kind of organization or sorting to the Help tab? It can take a while to find where one is listed. (Perhaps sub-tabs for each category of scripts with the scripts listed in the same order, or just alphabetize them.) Don’t worry about it if it’s too much of a hassle. Or if there is one already and I am just blind :P

Ctrl+Shift+K is the default shortcut to open the sidebar, right? That’s now the Web Console in Firefox 4. I changed it to L since that’s closest and isn’t used yet.

Topic: Kongregate / Suggestion: Rearrange Badge of the Day on homepage

They probably want to keep the main page uncluttered so that new users aren’t overwhelmed. The badge of the day is additional incentive to register or visit more since getting PUR points can get you tangible benefits, as opposed to “meaningless” points on this site. It also makes sense because it’s badge of the day and the new games won’t be going away any time soon.
