Topic: Elements / Ideas for Elements CCG (Destructive criticism will be ignored)

Hey everyone its been many months since I last played, but I decided to come back to kong and check out the new changes. Even though its kinda pointless putting card ideas here, I decided just to share some anyway.

First is a change that I actually suggested on the forums way long ago but was shot down very quickly. I still like the idea though

Shard of Void- decreases your opponent’s maximum health by 2 (3 mark), your own maximum health increases by the same amount

Am i the only one that thinks that current SoV is too underpowered and situational?

Anyways, original card ideas: I’m sure similar ideas have been suggested before, but these aren’t the official forums, so:

Prism (Light, 3 quanta, permanent): Ability: Refraction (1 Light)— Convert each light quanta in your pool into 2 random quantums.
Prism (Upgraded) (Light, 3 quanta, permanent): Ability: Refraction (0)— Convert each light quanta in your pool into 2 random quantums.

Fissure (Earth, 5 quanta, spell): The ground opens beneath the creature, killing it. No creature may now occupy the space.
Fissure (Upgraded) (Earth, 4 quanta, spell): The ground opens beneath the creature, killing it. No creature may now occupy the space.

Fertile Ground (Life, 5 quanta, spell): The target space, and all spaces around it (basically, a hexagon shape) start teeming with growth; all life creatures in the area gain 1/2 a turn.
Land of Plenty (Upgraded) (Life, 6 quanta, spell): The target space, and all spaces around it start teeming with growth; all life creatures in the area gain 2/2 a turn.
I stole the name from another game, credit to Mytheria. This card makes more sense if the current Shard of Patience changes don’t quite become implemented (highly possible)

Pulser (Aether, 5 quanta, creature): (ATK: 1-6, DEF: 0) Pulser is summoned with a random attack value and will generate another Pulser upon death.
Pulser (Upgraded) (Aether, 6 quanta, creature): (ATK: 2-8, DEF: 0) Pulser is summoned with a random attack value and will generate another Pulser upon death.
Aether has enough stuff but I though this was still an interesting idea

Topic: Elements / Some cards need a nerf.

Reverse time can hurt, but many decks can shake off its effects. It is potentially disadvantaged compared to other CC because it is the only one that doesn’t kill, however, due to the fact that your opponent loses a drawing turn, and that arena decks (gotp/nightmare especially) can pack 12 of these, I wouldn’t mind a nerf, increasing the cost to 3→2.

I would argue that discord is far worse of a problem, however. 3 quantums and you win against any mono/duo deck. Maybe changing the cost to 4 quantums would balance it by delaying SNovabows by one more turn.

Shard of Focus certainly needs a nerf, totally agree. A colored equivalent of this card would cost 2 quantums (IMO colorless quantums are worth 1/3 the value of regular quantums), so 3 deflagrations for that cost is outrageous. 12 colorless as stated would be a 4 quantum equivalent, which seems more reasonable to me.

Is there any reason at all for AI to prioritize Ray of Light over Light Dragon? I tested my squid arena deck with a RoL Hope deck, and for some reason squids freeze RoLs over Light dragons (i have the pic, too lazy to upload, i can if someone requests)

I heard Morte and Incarnate will be getting Shard of Sacrifices in their deck

Ok not really but gods would be much much harder if more have shards added to their deck

Agreed, massive dragon IMO could have been made to be more….idk, massive?

Hate to criticize work done by VRT but some of his work is worse than his others. Idk, maybe if enough people don’t like it he will change it (remember the Quantum Rock from a few patches back).

Fish and FFQ look good, charger is ok

Physical damage reduce by N.N is the number of earth creatures you control on the field.Immaterial

So basically a ridiculously overpowered version of Hope

Seraph in my opinion is very unnecessary, Zanz spent one whole patch nerfing fire to prevent them from sweeping the leaderboards, now with seraph and Snova nerf, plus the new Shard of Bravery, Fire will just dominate again.

Shard of Freedom which will be coming soon

Topic: Elements / Slot Machine Spin

The spin works like this, in a nutshell.

You beat an opponent, and the spin selects at random 5 non-pillar cards from your opponent’s deck (you don’t know which 5). It will give itself 50 chances to find all the non-pillar cards (so decks with too many pillars won’t exploit the spin), else it will start selecting pillars. Of those 5 cards, each of the three spin slots will randomly spin one of those 5. So therefore:

-You have a higher chance of winning cards against decks with 6 of a certain card in the deck, because of the 5 cards picked, there may be duplicates, increasing your chance of getting 3 cards in the slots in a row.

-If you duel an opponent who has 30 quantum pillars in their deck and nothing else, you are guaranteed to win 3 quantum pillars (the 5 cards selected will ALL be quantum pillars)

-Against decks with few duplicates (many Supernova-type decks have only one copy of each card except for Supernova), the chances of winning a card are quite low.

So spin rate is really dependent on the opponent’s deck itself.

-There is no difference between Spin and Spin All, other than that Spin requires more clicks

-Complete the last quest (get 500 score) and AI 5 (False Gods) and upgraded cards will be unlocked. It costs 1500 electrum to upgrade a single card.

That’s one of the best lies I ever heard, 10/14 shrieker is not possible, and when you Deja Vu it the HP can’t lower.
People, please don’t post lies, it’s annoying like hell.

I didn’t lie i got it from an improved mutate and mutated creatures re-mutate when they use dejavu or pu

Shrieker has 4 hp. mutate will NOT increase it all the way to 14. Remutation will ONLY improve stats, not drop it. Good try but no.

Shard of Wisdom in trainer now. The description now includes (adds +4/0) to the creature. Pretty cool shard.

Seraph+SoW: targeting SoW on Seraph + divine shield, Seraph will gain +4/0 and lightning attack, but as soon as divine shield deactivates, lightning attack is removed but the +4/0 remains

Completely agree. The patch earlier Zanz did a great deal to nerf fire, this patch with Seraph and SoB it seems like he’s undoing it. With Snova nerfed, fire once again will be the OP element in arena

Neurotoxin is a powerful ability and it can be a real pain to deal with sometimes, however it is pretty slow. Getting a neurotoxin on the opponent demands at least 2 elements, and chances are, it wont get going until the 2nd-3rd turn, and when it does, by next turn you might have 4-5 poison on you, pretty much the same as 1 growable creature (imagine steam machine). Basically, if you outrush neurotoxin you can win fairly easily

I’d have to disagree, IMO, Shard of Freedom really isn’t that overpowered. Testing it in the trainer, I noticed that simply by it taking up deck space it slows down rush decks, and it is fairly unreliable until you get at least 3 out on the field. Compared to Shard of Bravery (which is pretty insane in mono fire decks) this shard seems pretty well designed. Air always seemed to lack some power, although this shard seems to be the least element-restrictive so far

Ha. I love the new message on the novas: “Do not cast more than once per turn.” So ominous and fitting. Snova nerf is great

HOWEVER with Seraph and SoB I think Zanz screwed up. Last patch he nerfed fire nicely, this patch, with SoB added for the first time (I believe?) its actually possible to win a game in 3 turns, using SoB chains (tested in trainer) i.e., Zanz undid everything. Basically with Snovabows nerfed, Fire is just going to sweep the leaderboards again

SNOVAbow nerf YES!

On the other hand, regular nova wasn’t complained about as much, the penalty should be not as harsh

Idk if its just me, but I think Fire already has enough high damage cards that can kill off the opponent quickly. Quite an unnecessary addition in my opinion.

Wait why is SoSa overpowered? It doesn’t look all that great, except maybe as a last resort…

Try facing a mono death deck in plat with 12 sosac and you will see why
