Yeah I’m noticing a similar fate. Anytime I try to get on it goes to a tutorial window with a little wizard walkin’, and says:
“Connecting…”
“Account credentials not valid.”
“Connection failed! Retrying…”
Lather rinse repeat.

I remember having a lot of fun in this (even if I didn’t get terribly good at it), and thought it’d be nice to come back to this.

Not only do I not have other classes like the priest that I know I unlocked, but I can’t even get into the game. :/

I guess I can never play this again, then? (I’m getting backyard monsters flashbacks…)

Alrighty, getting close to that. It’s been a slow build to power on that one. I spent a good month with it as research, trying to get Gen4s. I figured I could take a break from Research now that I have them and work on getting my piddling money flow boosted, especially when I unlocked the Four Cell map, just oozes money now, at 1.24 trillion (which is a lot for me, haha).

Thanks for the info. I’ll admit I don’t fully understand what you are talking about with “water time 400 for gen4” or how the water translates into heat, but thanks. That does help. Hopefully I can get Metro to more than the admittedly nice 200 bil. I don’t need to min-max this stuff, but if I can make a few more dimes outta it, every tidbit of information helps.

Topic: Reactor idle / Of Water Systems, Gen4s, and Thors.

On Metro, I’m trying to power a Thor with only three Gen4s, and two Groundwaters per Gen.
How many levels of the Water system upgrades would be required to keep the three gens from exploding? Same for Gen Effectiveness and Max Heats?
In short, how much water production and heat capacity will I require to keep three gens from exploding due to a thor, at minimum?

I’m afraid I don’t know the conversions or exactly how water affects the generators very well (do they work like “substitute generators”?). I just upgrade things til they don’t explode, haha. I’ll assume the Thor doesn’t have any heat production upgrades or isolation cells on them.

Please help if you can. Otherwise I’m gonna be spending a LOOOT of wasted money on this setup.

I put this one in the comments, but I’ll share here since I drifted onto this topic, The “Sell All Power” button working universally, rather than just for the plant you are currently on. So I don’t have to tango around just to sell off power.

Also, perhaps a page that provides per-map statistics. Like how much money I can sell off at once, total heat output, etc.

Nopes. No water circulator. I got underground pipes and thor, but that’s the latest of the research I have unlocked, next one being Gen 4. And regarding GWPs, why would it be bad to level it to 31? If I can, why shouldn’t I?

Topic: Reactor idle / Share Metropolis build

Thus far, my build, which I will spare you all the scrolling past, is nothing more than just 100% advanced research centers. I sift through the builds on here, looking for something better than what my plebeian mind comes up with, and the vast majority seem to require Gen 4, which is the next thing on my shopping list. So I’m sorta grinding up research for it. I’m a little over halfway, really wishin’ I had more money. I saw a good one on page two, shared by Beric01 which just vomited cash at you for 513 trillion. Tho I lack the pink cell he’s using, I figure I may be able to use the build. I’m not terribly fond of not having banks and offices around as I typically leave the game running while I’m at college for the day, but maybe with enough battery upgrades I’ll not waste space.

Any particular builds any of the masters willing/able to impart to someone of my current skill level? Just keep in mind I don’t pretend to understand the lingo you guys use #:#:# and acronyms like GWP or whatever have you. I’ll understand if you all don’t wanna bother.

Just a passing skulker newblett of good builds. I gotta say, so far this is the best build I’ve seen for City, and am currently using it. I don’t have any Cell higher than Thor, nor do I have Gen 4 or the underground pipes. I likely won’t get them before I unlock Metro. Just wanted to give this a proper shoutout. I may tinker with this map more when I get a tad “stronger.”

Think I’ve been here before… but shrug can’t hurt to post it everywhere…

I had base=0, they sent me a message, supposidly fixing it… I didn’t have base=0 anymore, but immediately had this “oops something broke” doohick. It has been half a year now. Starting to get close to a year now.

I’ve sent countless messages, put up messages in the comments, left shouts, nothing seems to be getting through. I’d let it slide if I could just get a RESPONSE, even a generic one would be good at this point. Has anyone actually even had their accounts fixed of this “Oops” problem? Has there been any confirmed fixes?

I really don’t want to have to make a new account on Kong, and I am sure as hell not going to Facebook, so please, KIXEYE, fix my account. Fix all of these peoples accounts. Or, alternatively, if you can’t fix my account, at this point, I’d be willing to accept a data wipe! Reset my data, make me level one, make me start fresh! I’ll do it. Gladly I’ll do it! It beats not being able to play at all! So please, stop stroking Facebook’s mighty rod (haha) and help us out here.

I suppose every little bit helps. Had base=0, KIXEYE said they “thought” they fixed it for me. Tried logging on for the first time in MANY months…. and got this “Oops”. I thought it was just because they failed the fix… But you Infernoian are getting it too now… Hmm… I haven’t even SEEN what Inferno is like yet and I got it, despite having Base=0 supposidely fixed.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Backyard Monsters] Traps

While I don’t really chat in forums on “big game” (pun totally intended) sites like this, I will say this about the “don’t revive the thread” bit:
Would you rather see the same thread be brought back and recycled/reused?
Or would you rather see 500 threads like it popup because everyone would rather make their own thread on the same topic.
I don’t know what the forum rules are for Kong, but I think it’d be better just to reuse the same thread repeatedly, rather than having to sort out 100s of clone threads.

Second, even if most of these ideas are silly or inane, who cares, it’s meant to be all in good fun, if ignored or unused, sure, but we get to blow off steam and enjoy coming up with something creative about something we enjoy. Granted I’m sure you all already knew that, but it just bummed me out that people don’t want to just save space on the forum by reusing a thread.

Anyway, ramble aside, since all I’ve done is whine really, I’ll throw two cents into the Trap Suggestion pool:
[] Debuff Trap: A trap that simply works in opposition to Fomor’s Buff ability, speed and defense DECREASE for a few precious seconds (I was thinking 10 seconds or so), and decrease maybe… hrrm.. I dunno 10-15% in both stat fields?
[] Poison Gas Trap: Maybe I just play too much Dungeon Keeper, but the notion has merit. For (again) maybe 10 seconds, those in the effected range are “poisoned” and naturally lose 1-3% of their max HP every second. The poison cannot kill them, but if it would have, it leaves them off at 1HP.
